How is the Amiibo situation in Europe ? I only see people talk about american shops.

I'm from Finland. Plenty of Amiibo here, but then again, people here don't give a shit about Nintendo. A few Amiibo are very rare (only saw WFT in one store, don't remember seeing Villager once), but I'm guessing that's because of extremely low shipments. Some stores have quite a few Marths.

Got Samus and Fox myself. Waiting for the next round to get Captain Falcon, and maybe Pit and Little Mac. And then I'm tempted to get Link, Donkey Kong...Argh.

My understanding from this thread is that Toy R' Us only releases a limited number of pre-orders online. I don't know about Walmart though.

Yeah, but what's weird is that instead of just closing the preorders like Lucario or Captain Falcon's case, this one completely disappeared from the website. :(

In the US, some people seem to be reporting seeing them at Toys R Us already, and I picked up Little Mac at the Nintendo World Store

Oh, sorry, I'm in the US, I just say "dondé" for "where" sometimes. For no real reason.

Interesting. I'm hoping to get Zelda and Luigi in Wave 2, they probably won't have any of the supply issues Marth is experiencing though.

My Collection so far (still waiting on a Kirby and got Pit/ Little Mac pre-ordered from wave 2):

Just called my nearest retailer and he told me he just received some Fox/Samus/Pikachu/DK/Mario/Link...

No Marth/Villager...but fuck it, count on me to buy Fox/Samus this time! :D

Guess I'll nab Little Mac as well. Something tells me he'll be end up in short supply. Thanks for the TRU ebay link!

That'll be it for a while, I think. With Shulk/Ike preordered, Dedede, Toon Link and Mega Man are my most-wanted in Wave three.

Out of curiously, what is the general appeal of amiibos, for those going crazy trying to get them? Is it just a collectible thing, or do you guys actually use them for games? I'm guessing some just buy the rare ones only to resell for profit too. The way they are used in smash just doesn't seem that fun at all to me, maybe I just don't fully get how they're integrated.

I only want them because I like the character, not the actual usage. Which is why I'm only getting a few.

For me its just the figures.
I mean how many figures of Shiek out there, like 1?
Ike? has no figures.

So to be able to get characters like those to go with other Nintendo characters I like is why im buying these.
also the potential to eventually get others like WiiU Link that all go together cohesively.
