Agreed. And that doesn't even clarify anything, just adds to the confusion. "Certain sold-out amiibos may return". Certain, meaning some specifically, may, meaning might or might not. Why even bother saying anything at all? I think at this point it's obvious Nintendo has no idea what it's going to do, but there is no guarantee any amiibo will return once sold-out. If you want the whole collection or specific ones the smart thing to do is jump on them while you can.

They're not willing to commit one way or the other. Who can blame them honestly, the shortages are pushing sales like crazy no doubt. I bought 5 and I didn't even plan to buy any but Shulk. But I love owning potentially rare collectables.

Hot damn at all those Kirbys. I had to hunt everywhere for a Kirby (UK, uber popular for some unknown reason along with Yoshi).
I have no love for Lucas as a Mother 3 character (never played it) but he was my man in Brawl. I'd buy the shit out of Lucas Amiibo. The Ness pose is just perfect for customisers to add a little PSI/PK effect sparkle thing to his finger.

Ideally he wouldn't need them but looking at how Villager has some stupid ones I bet he will due to his feet/leg width (Ok I get on the raised up foot to give the whole thing more connection to the base but the one around the other leg?).

Mother 3 is my favorite game of all time so having a little Lucas figure to show off would have been nice, heh. Also preferred playing as him in Brawl over Ness.

I didn't pre-order Luigi or Diidy expecting there to be plenty of those two. I'm going to pre-order Diddy but curious how well items are shipped from Target usually? I don't have a store close so have to have it shipped but a little worried how well it will be shipped.

The target I was at was only shipped 4. Two different Fred Meyers I went to only got 1.
This early release stuff reminds me of NES games back in the day. Release dates were very fluid for games back then, to the point that it would be more accurate to call them 'release months', and as I understand it stores would just put games up for sale as soon as received shipment, unlike today when release dates are strictly followed by retailers.
But... Since I'm not really familiar with the toy market, is this normal outside of amiibo figures? Regardless, I wonder if Nintendo will eventually start to more strictly request that retailers stick to their release dates or not...

Nintendo isn't even playing hardball with these Amiibo yet wait until the exclusive convention one's or the exclusive Nintendo World and Pokemon Center ones.

I've gotten every Amiibo so far, including the 3 new ones, and two doubles. I still have the urge to keep buying, but I honestly have no idea where I'm going to put all of these. I'll probably stop getting *all* of them once they start doing Pokemon.

Best Buy is definitely getting more Marths. If they knew that they weren't getting anymore, they would have cancelled my order a long time ago. The pre order is still in limbo and its expecting to arrive Dec 23rd.
