Fire Emblem was pretty much a niche series till Awakening tbf

Shulk won't be a problem but I wonder how us Canadians will be able to get Rosalina and Lucario. Target.ca doesn't have much on it. No search function or anything. I doubt we'll be able to pre-order anything through the website. Do they even take pre-orders in stores? It hasn't even been confirmed that Rosalina will also be a target exclusive in Canada too.

Same deal with Lucario. Toysrus.ca doesn't even list it, not yet anyway. Will we be able to preorder online? I never go to my local toysrus to buy video games. Do they even take pre-orders? Anyway, hopefully in time this will become clearer.

I have this pre-ordered! She looks amazing!! Also have the Samus figma on the way. Oh, and I totally forgot I had the FE:A soundtrack. I must have ordered it way back when it was released and forgot all about it until this thread

There is a number stamped into the packaging. Not sure what the number would mean.

I just bought Zelda, Mac, and Diddy from EB Games. Very short stock. One store only got one Mac, no Diddy. The other store had a few of each.

I was only planning to get Max, but then I had a vision of team smash with Link and Zelda or DK and Diddy.
 
So i just read that the LEGLESS PEACH sold for 25,000$ on Ebay.
How easy are the boxes for these figurines to be opened and make them look like they were never opened...
If people can make fake money and other stuff, i can easily see someone faking defect Amiibos and idiots will still pay top dollars for them.

My brother and I both got Marths in Toronto~! You just had to be a little quick to reserve them from the store or be there bright and early to get them when they first launched. We already knew Fire Emblem and a few other figures would probably get discontinued or not be ordered much because of unpopularity of the series, so we focused on obtaining those first.

But now that word has gone out that some will be rare or will rise in value, I guess that will become much harder. :l I'm still optimistic I'll be able to own most of the smash lineup at least.

I imagine these auctions are not being paid for I don't believe it. I do rather enjoy all the fake auctions going up though with "invisible link" or "upside down" characters.

The two EBs have now told me that they aren't taking preorders. My Amazon online orders are showing "No Ship Date". I can't be bailing out work every morning just to hunt these things down.

Yeah, I think by now word has gotten out too much and RFD scalpers and overeager people are on the lookout. This is why we can't have good things. :l

I'd suggest trying to reserve/put a hold on in-stock items from the stores when they open the phone lines. I feel like that's what we did? (I don't know, my brother did it haha).


I wonder if I should have opened all my amiibo up to display them like I did. I cost them a lot of value! xD

Is Amazon.ca shipping date reliable anymore? All the amiibo orders I have now flipped over to "Not Shipped Yet" with no dates available. This is going to drive me nuts.
 
I will say this, Guilt towards buying alot of them will subside when a complete collection starts to become a reality. The more I get, The better I feel about it.

Ya...Ive got today off work and Im about to go on a an amiibo hunt. Im sure Ill regret it this evening. Honestly if there hadnt been reports of some being so rare then I probably wouldnt have given a damn and just been fine with Link, DK and Samus. But now I have to have a few others as well.

Im keeping msot in apckages for now, hoping I realize how stupid this is later and Ill still be able to return them.
 
Without having to read through the whole thread... what's the deal with Rosalina?
I went to Gamestop last night and just pre-ordered all of the Wave 3 figures (except for Lucario and Meta Knight), but Rosalina wasn't in their system. Is she a retail-exclusive and they just haven't announced which retailer yet?
 
I really like them from a Smash perspective. Great sparring partners without ruining my FG record. Also the level 50 amiibo are tougher than most people online.

I believe she is Target exclusive. Though I was at Nintendo World earlier and I asked them if they would carry the 'Retail Exclusive' Amiibos, and they said they should because they carried retail exclusive games and items in the past.

I'm the same. I initially got Kirby and Yoshi for 2 of my kids for MK8. Then I asked Mrs to get me DK & Samus for Xmas along with the SSB game.

Then shit got crazy.

I'm guilty enough of buying Hot Toys. These are a lot cheaper but will get expensive if I don't draw the line. I have ordered:

Peach
Meta Knight
Diddy
Megaman
Bowser
Link
Toon Link
Zelda
Dedede
Sonic
Rosalina
Fox
Pit

I 'think' that's it.
Some of them are for the kids tbf.

Oh and I ordered Villager from Japan. Customs will probably arse rape me for that.

I'm in a similar boat. Though Zelda and Luigi both list a release date of the 14th, so Amazon probably will not be shipping these until tomorrow or Monday. Still probably going to go out tonight and see if I can find any in stores though.

[Edit] Plus she's only 5.5 inches tall. I probably shoulda looked at that ahead of time. Definitely worth the eighty bucks.

This is what's bothering me. I've had a Little Mac pre-ordered at Amazon since the DAY it went up. Still no ship date or anything. Of course the only one I want from this wave is going to be rare.
