Is it safe to assume Luigi will be the easiest to get out of wave 2? I got all the others ordered and just waiting to be shipped, wondering if I should just order Luigi too.

You would think he would be one of the ones made into the future but you never know Nintendo is screwing with us already. BUY HIM
 
Just went to toys r us. No wave 2 (no villager/wft/marth either, of course).

I went in to preorder lucario... apparently you can't even do that in-store anymore.

They guy told me toys r us isn't 'sold out' but they've stopped doing preorders. If you want one, you have to show up that morning and pray you get one.
 
Just opened Fox and WFT, my first two amiibo. Tried to cut the plastic off and keep the box on Fox, but it was a pain in the ass so I just ripped them out. I won't be selling them ever anyways, so it makes to sense to waste space on the boxes and the time cutting them open.

Phew! Her and Link are the ones I want most (haven't found a Link with a good paint job yet). I'll probably be checking stores every day until I find one, even before the 14th, just in case.
 
Gonna go grab some dinner, stopping at best Buy and Target nearby to waste some time on it. Doubt they'll have anything out, and I've got 3 preordered already but might grab another Mac if I can find him since he's apparently rare now according to you all and I'm getting paranoid about TRU canceling my order.

Super paranoid.
 
I can pretty much confirm that in Australia, Little Mac is the guy everyone will struggle to get a hold of.

I've managed to snag a spare as he's one I want on display. Got an extra Captain Falcon too. Just called 3 JB Hifi stores in a row and all 3 told me they only got one Little Mac each.

The packaging is nuts no way to even try and save it the paper rips no matter how I tried to open. I guess with a razor might work out.

Just picked up Falcon. Best looking figure yet, in more ways than one.

Will be ripping it open when I get home, along with Marth and Villager when they arrive. Boxed figures are the worst.

Damn there's no way to save that cardboard backing? I really like how it looks. I would open mine but I want the backing without a big brown rectangle in it.
 
Ok due to the craziness of King DeDeDe / Toon Link being sold out of Target and Toys R Us, I had to made an executive decision here and order

I went from only wanting one, to getting 4 on release day, and now having almost all of them ordered.

Edit: Also I opened my first 4 (Mario, DK, Samus and Link) but I'm going to keep the rest of them boxed.

you should ask the counter if they have any in stock, just case they are lazy

however the official release date isn't until friday anyway
 
Gonna look up the DCPI. Dude at the counter couldn't be bothered. Will ask another associate if I can find one, but if not w/e

Edit: they don't show up as an item w/ DCPI. I think I wouldn't be able to buy them even if they had them.

You could but use a razor or scissor to score around the characters blister pack. I tried a few just being careful and it tore up into the nice graphic =(
 
I've got every Amiibo either in hand or pre-ordered except for:

Captain Falcon
Pit
Lucario
Rosalina

Are Falcon and Pit out in the wild yet (if so, where?) or are the people stating that they got them getting pre-orders shipped?
 
My Gameseek order of 2 Villagers and 2 Kirbys is taking an awfully long time to ship, so I grabbed a Villager from Play-Asia and a Kirby from an Amazon seller instead.

I'm not scalping these, BTW, it's one for me and my brother, and I grabbed one extra on the off chance the Gameseek gets cancelled. If by some miracle they do all arrive, I'll sell them on at a normal price to someone not ebaying them.
 
Just got back from TRU. They had one peg for Mac, two for Diddy, and like six for Zelda. And they had sold more of Mac than the other two. Go figure. No, I'm not sorry about that pun.
 
every store around me has Mario, Peach, Yoshi, Link, Samus, DK, and Kirby. nothing else. I would have picked up Diddy tonight if I saw it but came home with Donkey

could I level up my amiibos by just letting them fight each other in a 99lives match?

Love this amiibo community. We're all in this together! I'm super curious if I will get these Wave 2's I pre-ordered. Got Luigi, Zelda, and Diddy Kong from Amazon and nothing is moving there and I got Capt. Falcon, Pit, and Little Mac from Gamestop and not really sure when those will show up in-store. If I see any of this stuff in the wild before any of this ships, orders will be cancelled.

Hmmm, was going to wait until Mon/Tue when I have days off work but I might just run in now before I start later this arvo and try and find a Pit, Falcon and Mac.
 
Just got a package for DK and Yoshi from Best Buy and they didn't ship them in a box like my previous Amiibo and instead put them in a large bubble mailer. The containers came in quite damaged like the Amazon reports earlier but the figures were fine. It doesn't bother me as I open mine but it stinks that the shipping quality wasn't consistent.
 
Just picked up my first three, Link, Samus and Fox. I'll probably just stick to Metroid and Zelda Franchises but god is it tempting to just keep on buying these.

Bowser looks really nice but then I'd have to grab all the Mario guys!

I just preordered Toon Link, Zelda. And Sheik.
 
Just bought a Samus Amiibo. Still can't find Marth and Villager. The Best Buy employee told me Amiibo were a top selling product. No wave 2 either.

Samus,Mario,Peach,Kirby,Wii Fit trainer, Yoshi, and DK.
 
Got all 6 reserved at my GameStop (and the other 8 I can get there) so I'm good, but damn I feel like half of wave 2 is going to be hard to find.
 
Geeze I was hoping to wait and pre-order S3 non-exclusives after Christms, but now I want to do it this weekend when I pick up S2!
 
Well, I just went to all stores in Chulavista, California (In San Diego) (Again) and there is nothing there yet. Best Buy says that by next week maybe, but this one rarely gets stock for nintendo stuff.

Walmart is also saying that be next Thursday they get a new nintendo shipment, a TRU employee told me that Wednesday and Target told me they usually get it on Thursday, as they just restocked on Samus and Fox, but no Wave 2 yet.

Sigh...
 
Ugh seeing all you people with falcon is driving me nuts! Do the states really have to wait till 12/30 at EVERY retailer for the cap?
