Went to Toys R Us when they opened this morning. They didn't have them up for display, but I asked the Woman working the area and she knew what I was talking about and went on a search for them. Eventually they found a box of Little Macs and a box of Diddy Kongs under the register and I was able to get my Little Mac. They had no idea where Zelda was, which was interesting since she's the only one on their website right now of the Wave 2 ones, and has a pick up in store option.

all of this really brings me back to try and getting skylanders when the first game launched that was a nightmare i remember sitting outside of toysrus a couple hours before they opened trying to get them cause activision had major issues with supply for the first game.

Just got 3 Amiibo at Toys R Us.
Apparently one worker told me that major company send out limited numbers of Amiibo to Toys R Us because they were advertising to have it today Instead of delaying for a week. He assured me that they will get more shipments next week and might get last 3 waves next week.
Apparently they ran out of time with the products or having difficult time with production so they really want to delay it for a week.

Marth seems to be uniquely bad. None of these figures' faces are going to be perfect given the size/price of these figures, but I think she looks pretty good.Here is an update from my previous post. I went to Toys "R" Us, Best Buy, Walmart, GameStop, and Target today looking for Marth.
I intially looked at Zelda because she was the one I wanted the most. And the paint quality on her was really good. The first one I picked up was flawless. But I looked at five or six more couldn't find any issues.

I'm guessing a bunch of NA people ordered the last three as they are retailer exclusives in NA, but why is King Dedede so popular? Wasnøt he sold out at Nintendo UK's store too? Or is he just getting an extremely small print?
Also, a reminder that Villager and Marth are still available at Amazon France. Villager costs €14.99 and Marth is €12.99

I hope not... Wave 1 arrived a week after the US, and the EU release date for wave 2 was 19/12.

All of the humans seem to have the potential for face problems. The Zelda's I have seen have been generally pretty good, the only major difference between them is how bent/moved her front hair pieces are.

I'm trying to imaginatively name my Amiibo but I'm coming up pretty hard at the moment for some of them. I don't think my current ones are the most clever of names but they're better than just using the stock characters.
Here's what I've got so far...
Mario -> Mario (yes, I know)
Samus -> Dark Samus [with matching colours]
Link -> Dark Link [with matching colours]
Peach -> Queen Bee [Yellow/Black Dress]
Villager -> Jack (as in, Jack The Ripper)
Fox -> LaFleur (as a dumb homage to LOST) [Wolf colours]
Zelda -> Serenity (from Sailor Moon) [White Colour]
Pit -> Metatron (based on the archangel) [Pink colours to match artwork)
Anyone got any ideas for the characters I'm missing?

Got Lucario locked down. Shulk and Meta Knight are already taken care of - now I just need to wait for Rosalina.
Also that buy one get one 40% off made me get Luigi, especially since they threw in free shipping. Which means I went from going to get only 3 of Wave 2 to all of them.
