Called Walmart and asked if they had the Zelda amiibo in stock.
They said yes. I go to the store and the person thought I meant the Link Amiibo.
My Face when I went back to the car.
Have specifically asked for PRINCESS Zelda now when I call.
Looks like no where in my area has received them at all aside from Bestbuy who said they had 1 little mac and it was already oos.

The joke would have been funnier if people on GAF weren't actually scalping them.
Yesterday I had Meta Knight in my cart and had every store in my area to choose from for in-store pickup, but got side-tracked and never ordered.
Later, I went back and no store was available, only shipping. I think it's safe to say this could sell out fast - even though the TRS exclusive came back, but I think it was for the sale (I took advantage).

Clerk at toys r us told me the 14th is what his computer said.
After literally having Marth and Wii Fit Trainer in my hands two weeks ago and NOT buying them (doh), I'm finally giving into the hype.. Went out to try and find Diddy + Little Mac.
Target was completely wiped out (see pic below)
Toysrus had a TON of Zelda so I passed on her for now. Only 3 Diddy left, looked like there was enough shelf space that there might have been 8 or so total. I grabbed 2 to get in on the bogo 40% off deal. No Little Mac.
Finally, Best Buy had Little Mac in stock, tried to buy it and the register said it wasn't for sale yet >.< Cashier was adamant about not selling it to me so that was a waste of time.

Man, I'm sorry to hear that, but it's quite hilarious that the Zelda-Link confusion exists to this day.
If it makes you feel better Zelda ending up with you shouldn't be a matter of if, but of when. No doubt they're gonna have her stocked continuously.
Not yet anyway but he just shipped this week. Give it another week or two like we saw with wave 1 and I think he's gonna be gone.

Finally got my first amiibo, Little Mac. It was the only one at the bottom of a bin at Toys R Us, and I couldn't find it anywhere else. No sign of Diddy Kong anywhere. Plenty of Zeldas though.
The thirst for little mac is real, there is none left. People don't seem to really care about Diddy Kong so far, since they are really limited but no one is buying them, Zelda is by far really well stocked.
Talking about Zelda, my target order went through for Diddy but still no date for zelda, why do you have to hurt me so?
Also, I miiiiight get one more villager! Come on TRU, don't fuck it up, this is for my girlfriend, I don't want to give her mine T___T. If they send shipping confirmation am I good to go?

I have a Pikachu. I would probably try to get more if it wasn't impossible. Like Lucario or male WFT or Mac. But they're impossible.So how many are you guys upto now?

Reading through this thread really makes me happy that I'm not trying to collect all of these things. All I have left to buy is Bowser and maybe Falco whenever he is released. Good luck to everyone out there trying to track these things down, my local stores are pretty barren except for a few Mario and Pikachu here and there.

My wife is really knowledgable about this stuff, but yesterday I said "Some stores have Zelda early and I'm thinking of getting one, " she said "You already have a Zelda!" and pointed at my Link Amiibo. I laughed, she figured out her mistake and laughed. Good times.
Stopped by toys r us yesterday.. only member of wave 2 they had received so far was zelda so I picked her up.
stopped by gamestop after work today, they only had 1 diddy and it was pre-ordered so no dice there, but they did have an extra little mac available so I made sure to snag him.

I'll be sure to hit up target/toys r us again on sunday to see if the rest of wave 2 becomes available.

It's getting harder to not buy all of these things, but I am determined to only get the ones I like the most! I just can't afford to get a complete collection as much as I want to. So here's what I have or have pre-ordered so far: 5 from wave 1, 3 from wave 2 and literally all but Sonic from wave 3

Nintendo just needs to street date these on a friday so everyone is on the same page. Kinda don't want a reprint because it hurts the ones already out there as a collectible. Alter the stand or something and bring back the low print characters so people can get them all but not a straight reprint.
I'm still kicking myself for holding a WFT at Walmart around release thinking how goofy it looked and of course these were the only ones left besides Mario.

Shulk pre-orders have been sold out for weeks, and I expect Dedede, Sonic, and Mega Man stock to be plentiful. If Wario and Jigglypuff are retailer exclusive, then pre-ordering will be necessary. v_v
If? Nintendo is already doing that with Marth and Villager. The Shulk situation is going to be even worse due to its retailer exclusivity. I knew these were for a niche audience, but the way this situation has been handled is very irritating.
