Nintendo just needs to street date these on a friday so everyone is on the same page. Kinda don't want a reprint because it hurts the ones already out there as a collectible. Alter the stand or something and bring back the low print characters so people can get them all but not a straight reprint.

I'm still kicking myself for holding a WFT at Walmart around release thinking how goofy it looked and of course these were the only ones left besides Mario.

Yeah. I looked straight at the display on the day I bought smash and thought, "I'll probably nerd out hard over these in the end. Maybe I should buy the three rumored to be the shortest-lived. Nah. screw it. I'll resist my inner consumerist whore this time. I'll just buy link and samus and be done. i probably have a few months if I change my mind" Not the best decision.

If? Nintendo is already doing that with Marth and Villager. The Shulk situation is going to be even worse due to its retailer exclusivity. I knew these were for a niche audience, but the way this situation has been handled is very irritating.

They are up now on Gamestop shulk. I even posted a reminder this afternoon. I just ordered today. :)
 
I said to myself that I wouldn't buy Zelda & Little Mac amiibo.

I go to get a haircut, pass by EBGames and I instantly purchase both.

What is wrong with me? lol ;.;

So here's what I have or have pre-ordered so far: 5 from wave 1, 3 from wave 2 and literally all but Sonic from wave 3 :( (I really like those characters :lol) God damn it :P

I've decided to limit myself to only one amiibo per franchise. That way I don't end up buying like 30 of them :P

So I've been to and called just about every gamestop in nortern CA and none of them will let me preorder Pit or Luigi. All other wave 2 are available. I hope this doesn't mean they are going to be rare. I have every other amiibo thats not store exclusive pre-ordered except these 2.

I preordered Shulk and Meta Knight also but plan to get Lucario by hitting up TRU as soon as they open.
 
If you want to own an Amiibo, buy an Amiibo when you see it. Leave the others there for people who want it.

If you want to invest there are better options for your money.

I won't worry about Luigi, but something tells me Pit is going to be the secret rarest.

Its ok, you can just order Dark Pit and recolor it.
 
So I went to the GS where the manager held Diddy and Little Mac for me. He said he was completely sold out of Zelda (all preorders), I grabbed the last Diddy, and there was one Little Mac left. He check his system to see if they were getting any more shipments, and saw that none were even in the district warehouse. He also told me some guy drive 30 mins to his store to get a Diddy.

Earlier I went over to Walmart to see if they had it. They didn't, so the guy checked his computer. It told him 12/17.

I initially planned to just buy a few I wanted to use, but once I was at the store on release day, I decided to just buy one of each. Just in case.

I've since opened five of the initial twelve. I own all 15 of the released characters. Seven are in use.

I wonder if you guys in the USA are getting screwed by this preorder thing. EB here doesn't take preorders on Amiibo. I was able to just walk in and take my pick.

Ha... it was not. It was an extended family member. If the situation were reversed (I died), he would very likely not have attended my funeral.

Oh okay, not so bad then. I remember when my buddy's step mom passed away he attended the funeral wearing his usual (only) outfit which was a grey sweat pants, sneakers and a beat up t-shirt.

I didn't talk to him after

Maybe he was just really distraught and couldn't be bothered to put on anything else? He needed a friend and you weren't there for him :/
 
Cruised around town tonight. Stores had gotten more stuck of the Wave 1 regulars, so I was able to pick up Donkey Kong/Mario/Samus. Managed to get Zelda and two Little Macs at TRU. No other Macs or Diddy Kongs in the city that I could see, though Target and Walmart don't seem to have gotten shipments/stock yet.

So I'll have to start harassing them to find out if they got them.

Also went ahead and pre-ordered a second set of everything yet to come so I don't have to do this stupid retail adventure every wave. I didn't mind trying to track a system down when the Wii came out, but I don't enjoy the 'chase' when there's ostensibly no second shipment.

I called Amazon today because I'm in the same boat; I preordered Diddy and Little Mac in early October and they still don't have a ship date.

The Amazon rep said they aren't coming out until December 14th so I wouldn't expect a shipping update until at least then. I should be getting an email when they're available. Keep in mind she didn't sound fully confident in her answer even after putting me on hold for 10 minutes.

I wasn't encouraged by her response so I went around town and managed to track down a Diddy at TRU and a Little Mac at a Gamestop. Both were the last ones at each store. This is in the Oakland/Walnut Creek area of California.

I didn't cancel my Amazon order yet so if it does go through I'll let you guys know so you can buy them off of me.
