I hope nintendo reissues these over next year when all the smashbros characters have been released. It would make sense to do it through their online store.

Yep all £14.99 in my two local stores. They had all wave two on Friday, but no little mac yesterday. They said the price hike was down to Nintendo, but I doubt it as the Nintendo online store is still £10.99 a figure.
 
Trying to figure out why Amazon is being so weird about Wave 2. They still don't show Captain Falcon, Little Mac, or Pit as available to order. My Zelda or Diddy Kong hasn't shipped even though they should be released tomorrow and Luigi I assume will one day shipped.

I ordered Captain Falcon, Little Mac, and Diddy Kong from GameStop and got a call from their automated service and went in and they had none of those in and told me not until the 30th.

Was so easy to get Wave 1
 
Picked up 2 Diddy Kongs and 2 Little Macs, opened one of each and added to other 2 to my sealed collection. Zelda was in large supply in my area so I decided to wait on picking her up.

Anyone have a better idea on when 2.5 is coming?

Well, yeah. Fuck Game. I preordered them ages ago too, so hopefully I actually get them no problem.

Little Mac will be mine. Oh yes, he will be mine.

I'm a little concerned that I haven't bothered with Diddy Kong.

Had to drive to four different stores to find Link. A lot of shelves that were well stocked with Amiibo previously are now looking pretty slim in my area. I panicked and picked up whatever commons I still needed from wave 1. I was able to find one lone Diddy at GameStop which was the only one I couldn't preorder from Best Buy. No other sightings of wave 2.

They kind of need to if they still plan on bringing Amiibo support to 3DS.

In the UK we seem to have plenty of stock for Mario, Link, Kirby, and Peach, with donkey kong and fox being available in most places. Villager, Marth and Wii Fit Trainer are sold out everywhere instore and online.

Yesterday Game started selling all the wave two characters and from a look this morning it seems that little mac is the one that is selling the quickest. Zelda, Pit and Luigi were the ones most in stock.

In terms of the third wave amazon and the online Nintendo store have stopped taking pre-orders on Shulk, King Dedede and Meta Knight, however Game is taking pre-orders on these three.

I have not checked other retailers, but stock likely to be similar. I get the impression that the limited characters are in demand to gamers and collectors and the more popular characters are selling out for that very reason.

The fact that these have sold out has far greatened my interest in these. I've gone from not being bothered to ordering 8.

Want me to make a UK table? I think its a good idea to add Online UK retailers for our friends over there who wants to now its availability. Or if someone from UK, or any other places, want to make a similar table we can fuse them too!.

My experience in (mainland) Europe, specifically the Netherlands so far is that most characters are widely available. Wii Fit Trainer and Marth are getting rare, but they keep getting restocked here in the Netherlands and apparently amazon.it, amazon.de and amazon.fr occasionally get new stock too, although it gets snatched up instantly. But getting them is still very much possible if you look carefully. Villager and Kirby seem to be the rarest figurines here. Finding those two in stores is getting nearly impossible and online they sell out really fast.

Wave 2 is coming out December 19 here and I haven't heard reports of them being released early in retail stores yet, unlike the US, Australia and UK. Could be wrong though.

Wave 3 pre-orders aren't even open at any retail or online stores as far as I can tell. Doesn't seem like there will be store exclusives either.

Marth is so hard to get here >___<, I'm about to receive an extra villager and I want to trade it for a Marth, no matter the region.


Fake Edit: I am going to update the chart tomorrow after my trip to all the stores x), also forgot to add amazon, and I may add international sellers or ebay if someone is interested.
 
I was able to find Zelda in plentiful supply today, but apparently someone in town cleared out all of the Little Macs and Diddy Kongs from every Toys R Us at the very least. According to one of the TRU employees the Nintendo rep was pissed someone was hoarding them all and will be sending more on Monday.

I swear, these scalpers are going to end up with hundreds of copies of these amiibos and then Nintendo will restock them all.

This is complete utter fucking bullshit. It's one thing to have a strong wave for a few months then pull production but to discontinue shit weeks after release?!! Now scalpers and ebay whores hitting up the stores before the hard working Nintendoges and they buy up everything to serve a nice big giant power mushroom Dick in our ass. I'm done. I wanted to collect all these but this is a fucking headache. It's not even fun anymore. Wave 2 isn't even fully out yet and it's seems near impossible to get a order in. I have a friend who works at GS and he said other than pre orders most Ammibos they are getting in are 2 per new character. Fuck this.
 
I'm trying to preorder Shulk off the GameStop website and it isn't working. Seems like an issue with my credit card.

I am in Canada, so do they not take international cards?

Using my Canadian billing address but an American address at a local border store.

Could that be the problem? I don't know. I live in Canada and I pre-ordered Shulk from Gamestop's website just fine.

Well, around South East London, I have:

- A Game store which sells them behind the counter, but don't have many on display.
- A Smyths Store which had at least one of each last time I visited on Wednesday, also behind the counter, but a couple Marios, Peachs, Yoshi, Link and DKs on the shop floor.
- A Toys'R'Us which had only 6/12 Amiibos when I went there on Wednesday, but had a few of each of them.


The rarities are the same it seems though, but I don't think I need to resort to ordering online just yet, giving me a chance to select better looking ones (but not that bothered by the quality besides them being 7/10 in Quality at least).

If I was casually interested in Amiibo, I wouldn't be all too excited about the functionality of it if it was limited to Mario and Kirby. Disney Infinity has a lot low rate characters in their line up and those are at least of decent supply for a while. Does Nintendo need to reissue? Yes. Will they? For a least a little while, I hope so.

I'm on Tijuana and I have the same problem, GameStop won't accept my mexican Credit Card. Something similar happened to me with Best Buy, what I did was I got a gift card and paid with those, maybe that also works with GameStop online (Be sure is an american Gamestop code)
 
I went to Best Buy and added Kirby, Pikachu and Yoshi to my first six. I still need to find Fox and WFT. Checking Walmart(s) on my way home from work. Florence KY Target had the common six in stock with shelf tags for Fox, Marth and WFT LOL. LameStop had commoners as well and I was quickly reminded why I never go in there including giant stickers on everything.

I guess I don't know what else to expect from a video game forum.

On topic, my Little Mac that I preordered through Toys R Us on eBay is marked as shipped. Still mad I didn't get on the Toon Link and Mega Man that were in my cart before they got pulled from the TRU website...

edit: Now TRU website is acting way weird. It won't show which I can add to cart without clicking them, it seems near none of them are available for anything other than in-store pickup...

Should I preorder Megaman and Toon Link from Amazon? What are the chances they will be rare?

double edit: OK I just preordered Mega Man Toon Link & Sheik from Amazon. I am so weak, and now poor. Free shipping at least... Just two and a half more months 'til I see the fruits of my weakness!

Yes they do, at least right now though we can only speculate if ultimately region will matter. Right now they are rare in America and hence the English ones are more valued. For one it's Christmas time, people don't want to wait for Japanese shipping. Two, there is value in having an item in your own language, and three there are people that don't know they are the same toy but different packaging.

But it doesn't really have anything to do with the popularity of the character, it's about supply constraints.

Does anyone think that Luigi, Pit or Captain Falcon will actually be in any stores tomorrow (US)? I was Target earlier tonight and noticed that they have tabs for all of them.

There's a target near here that has Villager listed as "in stock". Before the madness began, tried in-store pickup for him, bu i was cancelled. Wonder if it's the same one.
 
Just secured a Pit/Cap. Falcon and a Mega Man/Ike on amazon.ca

Now I'm tempted to import a Villager on Play-Asia, or buy a 40$ Marth on Ebay before the prices rise too much. D:
