Pretty ridiculous how accurately they've described my feelings on this madness. I've preordered every single one of these. Amazon delivered wave one no problem. No reason to doubt they won't deliver on wave two, the three out in the wild are even showing estimated delivery dates. Yet, they haven't actually shipped so I ran around this weekend looking for zelda, mac, and diddy like some heroin fiend.

Yes Amazon is the only place that has the non-exclusive Wave 3.

Only Metaknight was up on Best Buy's site, but already sold out.

If you must have the exclusives 100% you should check Amazon.co.uk or Amazon.de, you will have to pay more. I think 2 Amiibos with shipping from UK are about $52~ Canadian.
 
I don't trust best buy with my wave 3 pre orders. Even though it doesnt involve a physical store i dont trust them. Anywhere else you suggest I order? In the us.
 
It boggles my mind people buying multiple little macs and diddy kongs , they are only selling for 30 each on ebay, that is about a 12 dollar profit after ebay fees. So fucking stupid
 
add the special edition ps4 this is really not fun.

I hope nintendo waits a bit and then re-releases the whole batch again. Why not? They want you to use them in their games. if everyone keeps them in their boxes the whole idea gets kind of lost and they want to seel consoles and software.

Hopefully they learned from that pokemon game that game out and needed some toys to play with it. They underestimated the demand....they never did come out with more.

Yeah today. They only came out 2-3 days ago. Wait until it's been another week or two and you can't find them anywhere. Might jump to $50. Totally not worth it right now though, no.

Yep hoping after wave 3 they take a little break to kinda work on supply especially on the ones that dissipated quickly

It'll be like when any speculative market starts. People buy everything expecting it to be huge then end up with a ton of them a few months later with no one that wants to buy them. Beanie babies for Nintendo fans.

Sure if you hold on to them for too long. Hopefully the people that are buying out all the stock have that happen to them for being foolish.
 
Hopefully i won't go crazy over the lack of Diddy Kong like I did with Marth. I don't care for the character and I already have the Jakks Pacific figure. I wonder if Nintendo is using the data from the sales of the Jakks figures for their Amiibos. Nobody wanted to buy Diddy Kong and he was always left with a ton of stock available while the other characters were sold out...I also wonder if Jakks is still making the figures. They were of decent quality and cheap prices, but I haven't heard of anything new even though they promised a Fox, Pit, and Captain falcon figure later on

I hope so too. I loved hearing people try to return ps3s in February expecting full price after trying to charge 1200 bucks. Crash and burn.
 
It seems so weird that people are having a hard time. I've bought every figure off the shelf with no preorders. I'll do the same for the future releases. I guess if you are late to the party, but these figures will probably be available again someday. If not, no big deal, Amiibos aren't thst useful in reality. Just play with level 9 CPU and save $15.
 
I do really think that Nintendo will do a second run of all of them in the summer or something. Even if its just through the Nintendo online store there's no reason not to.

My bad pic won't work (mobile), Jakks announced a wave 2 of figures recently. Olimar, Toon Link and Ganon and more Mario of course.

I think so as well. This is not just a collectible, it's a peripheral to be used in several games already, they can't simply let them disappear, it would a bad business move. I think everyone should calm down and wait for the inevitable restock. I mean, no Mario Amiibo? Come on.

It's funny that late to the party to obtain certain figures in the U.S. is less than 3 weeks after launch and in some cases it seems before people can even preorder.

Mario will always be in circulation. Maybe not the Smash Bros. branded one but yeah.
 
If I can't get a Rosalina once she drops and she sells out, I have an extra Mac/Diddy to trade someone for her. Just throwing that out there

I'm guilty of this too, but I've only bought multiples of a few figures. I have two of Diddy, Mac, and Marth. I opened one of each and have kept one of each sealed. Haven't "scalped" or sold them, nor did I buy them with the intention of doing so. However, I did technically buy them without the intention of using them and that denies somebody who might have actually used it.
 
Ugh...Just bought a 40$ japanese Marth on Ebay...

I was just watching the number of sold ones rising from 39 to 57 within a day and I cracked, the thing's price will just rise with time. :(

I really think the port stuff is hampering availability in the US.
EU has some inventory problems but still seems easier to get a hold of stuff over there.
 
So I called my Target out in Maryland. The employee on the phone said they had them in the back but there was no official release date for Wave 2 so they couldn't put them out? What is going on!
