most JP import sites have that kind of policy or they give you strikes against your account before they terminate it...luckily CDJapan doesn't so if it's still there you can try your luck

All its done is irritate me and guarantee that I never buy anything from there again. If I have to import, I'll go to Amazon instead. If you want to lock peoples' orders in the last week or so before it ships, fine. But when my order isn't shipping for at least a month, maybe two, it's a little ridiculous that I don't have the option to cancel it.

Nintendo has talked about doing amiibos for other games. We know Mario Party X will most likely get a new line of amiibos. I'm fully expecting Zelda U and Starfox to get their own lines of amiibos as well since they're flagship Nintendo games next year.

I went to Gamestop today trying to hunt down a copy of Mario Kart for Wii U (no luck, that game is fucking sold out everywhere). The dude working was trying to sell me on fucking pre-ordering amiibos. I showed absolutely zero interest, but he was going to fucking town telling me how the second batch is coming out in waves and the first wave had already sold out within 48 hours so if there are any I want, put that money down. Then he started rattling off all the ones he could think of. It just kept going and going.
They actually had more amiibos than fucking Wii U games. Their selection of actual games was pathetic, unless you wanted Smash Bros. Same with best buy, mountains of Smash, and nothing else. But, amiibos of course.
Shit is crazy out there.

I called my local gamestop a month ago asking if they were still taking preorders for the Shulk amiibo and they said they were all full.
I called 2 weeks ago and they had more.

I have shipping notifications on all three (Little Mac, Zelda & Diddy Kong) from Amazon.com.
You may not have realized this, but Amazon and Nintendo had a falling out back when the original 3DS launched.
Since then, Amazon stopped selling any and all Nintendo hardware, and only stocks small amounts of software and accessories.
They don't even feature Nintendo products, either. Basically, there's no chance of an Amazon exclusive Nintendo product of any sort happening anytime soon.
I don't know, but if you have a amazon account you could try it.
They do indeed ship to America. Just be ready to pay 15-20 usd for shipping.

I sound like a broken record by now, but I've seen all of the released figures on the shelf at Target (Canada). I was able to hand pick my choice of best paint jobs. It's my go to place for these so far.
Frankly I hope a restock of W1 and W2 hit and a lot of speculators/scalpers get killed in the short term
I don't even really want them, out side of the random one or two that will always be available, but to think that Nintendo cold just dial up a run and have them in stores in 6 to 8 weeks means anyone sitting on them for speculation could get burned.

Would love to see Mario amiibo for Mario Maker. Could have Cape Mario from World, any one of the exclusive suits for SMB3, have the Fire Mario sprite from the original SMB, and maybe do something for the New! series. It's Mario so they would sell and the hardcore would probably go for all four again. They could really really milk with the games they have coming out.
Or even Amiibo of the Koopalings that work in Mario Maker and then maybe in some other games like Mario Party or something where scanning them in makes them able to be put in as boss fights in Mario Maker or some other function in other games.
The sky is really the limit and since I'm nerding out hard for Mario Maker, I hope they take advantage of that for amiibos and amiibo support.

This is mostly true from what understand. However last year I did buy a 3ds from them during Black Friday sold and shipped by Amazon.
Still, the disagreement seems to be over hardware, not accessories. Amazon sells a lot of Nintendo accessories, including these amiibos.
I really think there is a chance. But with the disagreement and the fact that Amazon is online only, it's possible it won't happen, sure. Maybe even likely it won't happen, but not impossible.

I preordered all of wave two on the day they went up and have estimated delivery for the 17th on zelda, diddy, and mac but none have actually shipped. I'm getting awfully antsy since others in this thread have actual shipping notifications.
I can't think of a single Nintendo series that I wouldn't make me want to buy Amiibo. Can't wait for more!
