So with wave 3 coming out, I really have no idea what will be the rares for this batch. Marth/WFT/Villager was universal as the rares of Wave 1, but Wave 2 unanimously only had Little Mac as the universal rare, with reports of Diddy/C.Falcon as the other two in the US, but C.Falcon/Pit here in Australia.

Wave 3 has a lot of characters that don't stand out to me as something Nintendo will mass print because they're super popular like Link, Mario and Pikachu.

I can try to predict Shulk/Megaman/King Dedede as the most rare here in Aus, but I have no idea what to think of Ike/Sonic/Metaknight (which from reading this thread, seems to be the ones to be of concern in the US).

I'd honestly bet any niche character, any retailer exclusive character, and any character that is 3rd party will be rarer. Maybe not discontinued two weeks later but definitely harder to come by.

Expect them to sold-out fast at launch and then suffer to get one without preorder.
-Rosalina I have no idea, Target is weird.
-Best Buy will have trouble fulfilling all the Meta Knight pre-orders, specially for in-store pick-up, I recommend either go to a Best Buy you really trust or enter your shipment and keep track of it, send emails about it near launch and be sure you get it shipped.

I'm a 42-year-old man, married, two kids (one in high school and the other in late elementary school), Masters degree, and nice career. I woke up at 7 AM Sunday morning and laid out a plan on stores to go check. I knew Target didn't open up until 8 AM and I had a choice of Targets to go to (one in my town and the other a 15 minute drive). Checked on my phone to see what either showed for Diddy and Little Mac. My local Target showed Limited for both and the one 15 minutes away showed no Little Mac and In Stock on Diddy.

So, I figured I could hit Wal Mart, knowing they probably wouldn't have it, drive to the other Target right in time for it to open and have the best chance at getting Zelda and Diddy. Worked out great and I hit the local Target on the way home and got the only Little Mac.

I love it when a plan comes together. It's good to be a kid with money and good reasoning skills.

This is off-topic, but how many copies of Adventure Time: Secret of the Nameless Kingdom did you guys get (if any)? I've only seen this game at 1 store in my area (out of all of the retail stores) and they only had a handful of them.

Seems like compared to the last 2 Adventure Time games, this game released with zero fanfare and attention.

We got two for launch, one was reserved. Somebody purchased the other and we just got 1 more copy in today.

I know, but knowing the "Nintendo way", the wave 1 probably will not be reprinted, so probably now is the only chance to get the wave 1.

Short answer is there are no specifics as to when wave 2 part 2 is launching, so who knows.

Wave 2 part 1 is still a cluster, so I imagine some stores will begin selling part 2 before others like what's happening now.

Well....it is Xenoblade related. If your not there day one prepair to pay scalper prices. Also prepair for a couple of low number print runs. Meta Knight sold out within hours here in Canada. It's my understanding Rosilina also sold out fast at Target in America. It's safe to say the retailer exclusives are going to be hard to come by post release unless Nintendo does a reissue.
