Damn Little Mac went fast. :< Glad a few were able to nab it, though. Looks like Diddy is still up.

Question: Would importing from Amazon.de be considered "over the border"? Or is buying from them is just like any other website?
 
Since people have all been posting bad news...

Did in store pickup for Kirby and Villager at a GameStop location.

Walked in to another location to purchase a Pikachu.

Reserved Diddy Kong and Pit at a third..

Received almost instant emails that my Kirby and Villager are ready to pick up.

And GameStop sent me a text when my Diddy Kong arrived.

Hoping for the same once Pits there. When I go to pick that up ill be pre-ordering my wave 3 choices im store.
 
Wasn't sure if this is an amiibo issue or a Hyrule Warriors issue (because it's both), but I've had a strange thing happen.

So, I have a Samus and a Fox amiibo. Almost every day, I tap them to get the daily Hyrule Warriors reward, been doing this for about two weeks now. For the past four days, however, every single time I tap either one, I get the 8-bit Sword item, from both amiibo. That's eight 8-bit Swords in a row. Is this just a weird anomaly?

I did something I'm ashamed of... I saw a Little Mac amiibo at the stores today and I bought it. I thought I could resell it for a profit and use the money I gain to buy me more amiibo.

Anyway, I preordered seven amiibo from wave 3 today: Ike, Mega Man, Bowser, Toon Link, Lucario, Dedede, and Meta Knight. I also wanted Sheik, but I'll try my luck with her.

I'd preorder Sheik. Of all of Wave 3, that one feels like one you won't find much of in stores.

Of course, I've not got a lot of wave 3 yet. Waiting until January.
 
It's amazing how much these lil' guys liven up a shelf space. Between that and the great sparring partners they make when you don't feel like facing people in Smash Bros., and all of the other assorted bonuses that are popping up in games, I don't think it's rocket science how they're appealing.

I think I'll buy Pit and Captain Falcon next if I see them on store shelves. Not sure about Diddy Kong -- his eyes seem a bit off.

I think I'm in this for the long haul now. I hadn't planned on buying any amiibos originally; I didn't see the point. I mean I understood what OTHER people would want them for, but to me, I didn't see myself having any use for them. They looked kinda cool, but I didn't think I would ever use them.

I don't know what changed my mind, but I'm planning to buy every last one of them now. I don't even have a job. My wallet will hate me :(. Hell, I don't even plan on using them I don't think. I'm gonna take them out of their box, probably buy / make a display case thing for them, and just have em all in there lookin' pretty. I will regret it by the time Wave 4 comes out, but I will have sunk too much money into the rest of them that I won't be able to turn back.

What's wrong with me :/

...as an aside, anyone know if TRU Canada's 3 for $30 promo is in-store, or online only?

I'm a 19 year old broke college student - and I'm buying all 49 of em too. Its really ridiculous. Like you, I don't plan on using them as NFC figures. But the allure of Amiibo is too strong. Man, Amiibo are going to be the end of my wallet :3

And yes, the TRU deal is both in-store and online.

i like how one of the comments tried to imply that no one is buying them based on the stock they have, well i guess no was buying skylanders either because i dont think i have ever seen them sold out. They are little figurines, there is supposed to be a lot available, the fact that there are actually a good number of rare amiibos is surprising(well not to me) because these things are so small and easy to ship. I just hate visual stock evidence, sorry about the rant lol
 
Uhh, is captain falcon and pit amiibo available yet? It would be nice if Nintendo gave us a release date because I'm looking at online store like amazon and target and those 2 appears out of stock already.

Available yet? No. Sold out? Yeah, been like that for a little while.
 
Picked up the Last Little Mac, and two of four Zelda's available at my nearby Target. Was a fun little trip and very glad I got my first two Amiibos :D

No sign of Capt. Falcon or Pit being ready for shipping from bestbuy.ca yet even though I preordered them as soon as they went up.

Atleast my Little Mac is on the way from Amazon.

I've got some page trackers on some amiibo pages just in case they go on sale. All of Future Shop's and Best Buy's amiibo pages (at least the unreleased ones) just changed from the red to the green. Cyber Monday? Wasn't that weeks ago?

I have every Disney Infinity figure out (and all crystal variants), and all Amiibo's (wave 1 and the first three of wave 2) for a whopping 76 figures. Should be 6 more for 2.0 (hopefully) and then 34 more Amiibo's for Smash. 116 figures...

And then I know there will be other Amiibo lines and then Disney Infinity 3.0 which will most likely be Star Wars related.

All I have to say is thank god I don't like Skylanders.
 
Sooo...what's the current situation? I didn't read this thread for the past one / two days, just now, and it seems there are still availability problems for specific characters, right?

Seems some stores in the US are prohibiting sales of some characters (Little Mac and Diddy). No such problem exists in Canada.

It looks like Mac and Diddy are not that hard to find yet lol.

What exactly is Disney infinity from a gamers point of view what do their amiibos do?
 
Got two Amibos in the mail from Toys R Us today, Lil Mac and Diddy Kong. They dropped them in an envelope and let them get smashed. The figures seem to have survived but the packaging was destroyed.
 
I finally finished my exams, actually levelling my Zelda and stuff now. I wonder if I can be lazy and use my Pikachu Amiibo to train.

Zelda's 23 now, Pikachu is 46 lol.

The match is pretty fun to watch actually.
 
The limit per order is 3, so I ordered 3 Little Macs. Don´t need Diddy, but Little Mac is a fan favorite here and everyone wants more.
 
Alright, I'm gonna ask my friend on vacation in London to pick me up WFT, Marth, and Villager, since there are supposedly a lot over there? The only thing is, I don't want him to have to go too out of the way - would someone be able to tell me where to direct him? I've no idea what stores actually sell amiibos across the pond there. I've found Game, Toys R Us and Argos, but they all seem to be out of stock of the 3.

There definitely isn't a lot over here, your friend won't be able to walk into a shop and get any of them. GAME currently have Marth and Wii Fit Trainer in stock online but they won't last long
