A shop near me got a new shipment of the first wave of Amiibo.
Quite a lot of Marth but no Wii fit trainer or Villager. Store guy was in doubt if they would ever get them.

Still It allowed me to compare the Marth amiibos. So many small and bigger errors.
(Same for Peach too) Not one was without some flaws.
Even the guy from the store was surprised how many differences there were. Picked up one that I thought was the best of the bunch.

Nice, what store? I don't recall ever seeing a Marth in the wild, though I didn't start really looking at these until 1.5 weeks after release.

I was originally just going to get the amiibos of my favorite characters but all the scarcity makes me want to start picking up anything that might be rare (further increasing the scarcity). I'm sure I'm not alone in this. But so far I'm sticking to my guns and trying to resist temptation so I've only got 3 amiibos at this point.

However, I'm now afraid that I won't be able to get a Pit, and if that's the case I'm going to rage as I'm a big fan.

I guess I'll wait till the end of the week to see if Nintendo World is gonna get more Marth's or VIllager's, but it's not looking good so far.

I guess I'll have to make an executive decision on Friday if I can still import them from Europe. I just wish they all had the same packaging.

The only anecdotal thing I'm seeing is that on Reddit people are saying TRU might have pre-order cards for Lucario in the store.

Its enough that I might take a swing to the toys R us next to my house again. It was absolutely mobbed yesterday and the amiibo racks were smothered with kids and their parents. I suppose I could give them a call as well.

Oh yeah. What's really sad is I swore I wouldn't before they released... glad I jumped in when I did though, otherwise I would've missed out on Marth probably. I'm going to do my best to collect all of them without resorting to ebay, but some of the "exclusive" characters have me a bit nervous.
