From my store, Diddy is the rarest of this new 'wave'. Got 4 Diddys. 32 Zeldas. 16 Little Macs. And today 32 Luigis.
Target and Toys R Us, respectively.
Any word on the number of Falcons coming in?
Thinking of heading to TRU in the morning to see if they have Falcon or not...

Okay, so I know I can order Lucario from ToysRUs.com and have it ship to Canada, but it looks like Target.com doesn't ship to Canada.

Question out of curiosity: was SkylandersGAF or Disney InfinityGAF this frantic about looking around for the figures? Not sure how their distribution or rarity was, but I did work at a place that sold Skylanders and people had a hard time hunting down certain elements.

I remember when skylanders first came out there was a following here on gaf, man i remember one person who had a room dedicated to the stuff, wish i could find that old thread and see whatever happened to that collection of stuff.
Still Target. Target.ca is garbage and unusable, but in-store they should still have it. Gonna check tomorrow to see if it's preorderable. Otherwise, Europe doesn't have store exclusivity, check amazon.de or amazon.co.uk

Edit: If anyone is aware of TRU in the U.S. opening up more Lucario pre-orders can they drop me a PM or something? I just want to cover my bases if I can't get one in Canada (as I did with Shulk).
Double Edit: Is there anyone south of the border that has shipped something to Canada recently via USPS? Trying to get an idea b/c it may be cheaper for me to get my order shipped to someone in the US and have them USPS it to me afterwards...

Some areas haven't gotten anything.
Here in upstate new york no gamestops got them in yet.
Shipping was $15. I had three amiibo in my order, total was $53.96.

Has anyone pre ordered Zelda from Best Buy? It still hasnt shipped yet, it comes out tomorrow. Doesnt Best Buy ship before hand so you get it close to the release date?
At least with Amiibos, there will be a finite amount of figures. Well, that is if they ONLY do Smash characters and don't expand from there. I would be happy with that. Not quite needing a room full, but a good amount of space.

well it depends, do we get special edition amiibos, games with amiibos, and so on and so forth, thats where this guy had every edition of most figures(he didnt have all the odd colored skylanders like the clear ones but he still collected as much as he could) but it depends on how nintendo takes the sales of amiibos to see if we'll only get the smash characters or if they'll expand on it.
I'm not sure if it's based on the weight of the item, I think it might just be a flat-rate charge. It's been a while since I've used Gamestop.com though [for obvious reason], so my memory on it is a little fuzzy.

UPS' site is not at all favourable regarding what they'd charge. For my $45 order, it'd be $20.

Well, I complained via customer support chat that the item is limited stock and a replacement really isn't an option, so they issued me a $5 credit and forwarded my story to the shipping department.

Yeah, I have all of Wave 2 (and Wave 3 + Meta Knight!) pre-ordered at BB but nothing has shipped yet. :S

Oh I didn't know that they already had the confirmed expansions. I wonder if they will use the same trophy format, since it would stink if the bases and such changed style.

Has anyone tried using an amiibo with the Nintendo holiday greeting site (https://holiday.nintendo.com/) to see what it does? I was browing from my computer so I couldn't scan one and check.
No padding either?? Geeze, where's Amazon's quality control on their packaging? There's going cheap, and then there's losing money on shipping back, returns, etc.

I preorder nothing but Nintendo stuff at my local GS.
Guess its just patients on my part I preordered first day first person on every wave.

What? You just click and drag one of the amiibos on the page to the gamepad. You don't actually scan an amiibo you own.

Turned on NFC on my phone...nothing.
Tried on the Wii U...nothing.
You just either click each figure...or drag it to the gamepad picture to pretend you're using one, then you get a greeting card with the 3 characters.
It's really dumb, it basically takes 3 words using the characters and makes a holiday greeting. Text spills out of the tag too. This is awful.
Also, comic-sans.

Yep, it was just as crazy. I expressed either earlier in this thread or another one that this is what happened during Skylander's first year; figures were sold out most everywhere until April/May.
GameMaster78 is the guy. I'm not sure if he used the same one here, but his stuff is astounding.
Most recently he got enough of the Swap Force characters to create ALL 256 combinations of the swappers. Absolute Insanity but I love looking at his stuff lol.

Well if you're lucky they'll have your item there on launch for you to pick up/you'll get it all nice and delivered right to your front door.
If you're unlucky, you can have your special edition preorder sold to someone else, refused a refund and instead given the cheaper regular version of the game you were trying to buy. Which is what happened to a friend of mine.
EDIT: Swear this is the last edit. A friend of mine at TRU said the actual brick and mortar stores will/are getting cards you can preorder your Lucario figure with. So if you haven't preordered yet or were worried about online canceling/ worrying about TRU sending your things in a bubble envelope, you can pick one up at your local store.
No you can't, there's no current way to access an NFC radio via the web. It's just telling you to drag and drop the icons.
Haha, shows me what I know! I was like "darn, I'd have to try this on the console for it to work".
