Was about to get a lot more aggregated with Gamestop,
After 2 weeks of runaround they finally received Zelda today I call to check tell me they have a few.
Get there 10 minutes later and its only w1 on the pegs, ask a manager says he doesn't know and asks who it was that told me that. eventually they find 4 locked in the cabinet.

I bought her before I knew she was rare since I liked her design and constant taunting. I gave her the red alt and named her Jeanne to get a little Bayonetta in my Smash as well.

I originally wasn't going to get her...but then I knew it would bother me that I'm missing it from the collection so decided to keep the Best Buy pickup...glad I did now
!Yep. It's hilarious she's in the game and that they actually made her into a toy. I got her and I'm really glad I did.
(Plus she's fun to play as, too.)
You can, as long as the system allows them. Stores are supposed to have a pre-order limit or something like that.
That's a relief. I need to do this as soon as I can tomorrow. Didn't think all the wave 3 would be sold out on their site so soon.
She's my main, so yeah. I pre-ordered her well before the hype of rarity was in the air.

Finally got Little Mac, Zelda, and Luigi from wave 2.
Zelda and Luigi were really easy to get, Little Mac is considerably harder to find now, but I saw him when he came out at TRU (but I skipped out on him hopping to buy him at Best Buy for a considerably lower price)
Luigi is...well, probably the best amiibo so far...not really what I expected seeing as he had my least favorite pose, but the quality is amazing.
Zelda is...eh. A tad worse than Link with a nicer pose.
Little Mac is pretty good too, the colors look really nice and his skin is well done. Mine had his side burns (his entire hair piece?) put on incorrectly so so his side burns ended above his ear which looked weird but I fixed that with a bit of black paint.
I'm pretty upset at Best Buy with the whole thing that happened to me while I was trying to get him. I came in on monday, they told me "oh, sorry, we have Zelda and Little Mac, but we cannot sell them just yet, but we'll put them on hold for you."
Sweet, I thought, since I didn't pre order Zelda but I did pre order little mac. On Friday I came in the morning and they told me "Oh, we haven't received any shipments for Little Mac just yet" basically lying to me since I saw Little Mac already, but he told me to come back around 5 so they can bring out their new stock. I came around 6, and then they told me they completely sold out "oh, we put them to sale this morning" ...so they lied to me 2x that day. I was annoyed, but not too mad, since I was supposed to have 2 Little Mac's put aside for me. I went to see them (I like comparing faces so I can get the nicest one) ...but then the lady at the help desk told me:
"oops, we accidentally sold your pre order to someone else. Sorry
So if I didn't get them to put another one aside for me I wouldn't of gotten little Mac...that's pretty damn unacceptable.
Really Really hope that doesn't happen to me again especially since i have every single announced amiibo pre ordered (except Rosalina since I can't buy her here)

Any idea what's up with Best Buy's website? I see "Available for pick-up in 3-5 days" on Little Mac and Captain Falcon on the website for several stores near me, but when I click the "add to cart" button it just says an error occurred and won't do it.
I got Zelda and Luigi today for Christmas from a friend, so now it's time to throw myself into the hunt for the rest of wave 2! I'm going to try to keep an eye on things for now in the hopes that I'll be able to pull the rest from Best Buy if at all possible, but we'll see how things go...

yo my yoshi amiibo is a beast, he nearly spanked me when I went against him 1v1. If i didn't cheese I would've lost. but then again, its his fault for falling for Greninja's down air till he got nearly 170 dmg(when he had 0...) I told my brother that and he was like, man you fucking suck. He 1v1 yoshi and barely got the 2nd kill on him, yoshi won. he was upset. amiibo's are so dope! i can't wait till I get the character's I really like to use(Like DDD & the Cap'n)

Absolutely. I think the character is hysterical. Call it a humorous form of ironic love I suppose, but Wii Fit Trainer is one of my favorite characters in the game. If it helps paint a picture I also love characters like Mr. Game and Watch and Duck Hunt. I love the goofy ones.
Yeah, Samus is everywhere from what I've seen.

If anyone isn't familiar with the jakks figures, they are very cheap Nintendo figures. They got the licensing rights for figures and costumes a long time ago (like 2013) but we didn't see anything until recently.
The quality ranges from decent to awful...but at the price it's a good value. The giant bowser is really cool and I look forward to the 4' Fox, Samus, Link, and Skull kid.
They are pose-able unlike the amiibo (and cheaper, for the most part) but they aren't as nice

Oh, and yeah, a lot of their stuff feels like bootleg figma/SHF figures...but officially licensed. It's weird. The Skyward Sword Link is seemingly based on the figma link, but a bit tinier. The 4' Mario is like 1:1 (but...not as good) Luigi looks way too similar to the new SHF Luigi as well although the Samus figure looks to be new since it's based on the prime design unlike the Other M figma.

I have the Jakks Pacific deluxe bowser & donkey kong and their 4" link & yoshi. I need to get wario. skipping mario since I have SHF Mario and he looks almost identical only with better paint and articulation. For that reason I'll probably also be skipping the Jakks Luigi since I'm getting SHF Luigi.
But wow I really like the Zelda micro-world stuff they are working on. Can't wait for their other Nintendo stuff to hist shelves.

Getting back on topic, does anyone know where Ike preorders are still open in Canada? I have a preorder from Amazon but I not sure if I'll actually get one from them, considering it's possible they could cancel it later on.
Hopefully we see protoypes for ALBW Link and ZSSamus as winter wonfes

Not great. Not impossible, but not great. Best thing to do would be to call your local Best Buy, Toys R Us and the like, first thing in the morning to see if they have it in. If they do have it, reserve it and head there as soon as you can to claim it. Ditto with Pit.

Ehh, just noticed that I received an email at 6pm from Toysrus cancelling the Diddy Kong order I placed yesterday. It's obvious they have no idea what's going on with their inventory. I had ordered this after the mass cancellations on Friday (which I had already lost a Pit pre-order from). I'm about done trying to collect these things; what a mess.

I gave up in a way and just put in multiple orders for multiple characters on multiple sites. I had to make a word document with the stores name and what I have on order from them just to remember the orders exist. I will get these one way or another, and I will be returning a ton of them. If they don't like me returning a shit ton they should make them more safe to pre order to begin with.
I sell on ebay all the time and I don't get to sell something that I don't have. I also don't get to ship anything in next to zero packaging. I'll hold retailers to the same standards.
Anyway I already looked forward to wave 3 and have them all ordered again in multiple places (aside from the exclusives).
The day wave 4 is up for pre order I'll do the same thing again, except I'll be quicker about it.
