It seems that it's an issue difficult to avoid (I'm not even sure that there's a perfect paint job there, seeing how all have the same problem)

Yep, what I meant. Good to know, pretty much flawless besides that. I am 100% happy with it.

I thought I would ask this here: I bought SSB Wii U and three amiibos for my nephew for the holiday, but could someone tell me what they do. You can't use them to unlock anything on SSB and you can't fight as the amiibo, right? It looks like you just level it up, battle it, and? He plays Skylanders and I thought he would like the amiibos as they are figures, but they are nothing like Skylanders... or are we missing something? Thanks in advance. And you guys can make fun of me, too. No worries.

It would be lame if it was like Skylanders. You can play as the characters without the need for the toys. The Toys are virtual amigos (friends). Your kids fight against them as they both get better. Then they can team up and fight against others. It's a more personal advanced CPU opponent attached to a neat figurine. Really fun at parties since it allows for 8 player mutli with 4 friends and 4 amiibo.
They also do other stuff in other games like costumes for your Miis in MK8, bonuses in Hyrule Warriors and there's more planned in the future. If it's selling as well as we think they are, you'll see a lot more amiibo implementation in future games

In SBB you just level it up by battling it and it learns from your playing style, yep.

In Mario Kart certain ones unlock Mii Racer Outfits, and in Hyrule Warriors Link unlocks a weapon and the rest give random bonuses daily.

My second preorder for Lucario from TRU on Friday doesn't appear in the system. Just the one that was cancelled. They might be looking at names and addresses, and figuring things out. I am not sure we will be getting dupes.

EDIT: Nevermind. I placed my second Lucario preorder after all the cancellations on a different account.

Yeah I wouldn't buy these for some unsuspecting kid. They aren't fun like Skylanders unless you're just collecting them.
 
Zelda/Diddy Kong/Little Mac all showed up from Best Buy today! Now I'm only missing Captain Falcon and Pit, which should hopefully both show up from Best Buy later this month.
 
Jeez my lvl 50 Little Mac is a beast of a fighter. All my other lvl 50 amiibos can't handle him 1v1 at all and I can't ether ;_; they grow up so fast lol Can't wait to see how my Marth amiibo handle him when he gets in.
 
I'm weak, saw a Fox at Walmart and got it.

Still want Captain Falcon and Pit. Maybe after the Holidays Nintendo can get some in stores.

Managed to find a Luigi today and it was the last one at TRU.

It sure was a coincidence though because of the fact that I originally went to try and find a Fox amiibo. When I got there someone had it in their hands and it was the last one sadly. The guy then asked a worker to see if they had any of the wave 2's but the only one they had was Luigi but that they sold out. Then out of nowhere another worker comes and shows that he found one last Luigi and I was like "I'll take it!" I was pretty happy about it but I think I made the guy with the Fox amiibo all salty lol when I got it. Today was a good day.

Messing up the packaging huh. I know about that.

For some reason. A Store here likes to add security stuff on the packaging that can't be removed without breaking it.
Another store does the same and while the thing can be removed. It leaves a hole in the package.
Honestly. Was there no other way?

Lots of retailers just don't care about packaging. Target puts the spiderwrap shit on stuff, which ruins bluray slipcovers or digibooks.
 
No Lucario email yet :( Hope it's not because of the free shipping promo being the reason that I'm not getting it. Can anyone confirm if theirs was?
 
My cancelled Toys R Us orders are all un-cancelled now. That's good. Now I hope they actually fulfill them. Whether or not Captain Falcon ships will be the main test as far as I'm concerned.
 
Went to a Target after work, they only had about three Mario's, two Yoshi's, and one Link. That's it, completely sold out. I was looking for a fucking Pikachu as a Christmas present. Yoshi will have to do lol

I got an email from TRU saying that my Lucario amiibo was reinstated and I ordered 2 of them because they had a B1G1 40% off deal at the time. I also got free shipping.
 
If anyone has extra Lucario orders in, I may want to see about snagging one if I can't get one locally (I'm in Atlantic Canada), so if someone has an extra maybe we can chat. :p
 
So now my pit and falcon Amiibos at TRU are saying they're on hold until release day, which is listed as 12/21/2014.

I guess I'll keep an eye on it tomorrow.
 
I really can't believe how hard these things are to find. I think very few people (with the exception of us) will have a complete boxed collection of these things and if you haven't started already it will be a bit difficult. (Unless of course they re-release).

This hunt is pretty fun though. Don't know what I'm gonna do until Wave 3 after I find Pit.
