Oooh Mightyape (NZ store) is still doing Ike pre orders unlike every Aussie store.
Costs an extra $5 because NZ is even more expensive than AU, plus another $5 for shipping.
I think the peace of mind is worth the $10 because I know he's going to be extremely limited like others, never even saw a Pit, Little Mac or Captain Falcon here :'(

I got mine, but I placed it went it first went up. Ended up getting a second Mac/Zelda locally, and a friend is shipping me a Diddy.
I ended up putting a second pre-order in for Wave 2B after that debacle. My first order has Pit/Luigi as the second week of Jan and no date on Falcon, while the second has no dates. Wave 3 only has dates for Sonic/Sheik/Bowser (on both orders).

Just found Captain Falcon at a Smith's Marketplace aka Fred Meyer in Logan, UT.

I've decided that I am not going for the full set. That means characters that I have no care for will eventually be sold since I have the full set so far. Villager, falcon, Marth, wii fit, Mac, etc are all pointless to me. The next few waves are packed with characters that I would never unbox such as King Dedede and Lucario, so what's the point?
I'm going to sell off these extras next week probably. It will be interesting to see if it's like Skylanders was, with the demand skyrocketing after Christmas.

Came up empty handed on my hunt for Cap Falcon again. I've heard way too many "yeah a guy came in here and bought all 4" stories at the Targets I've been to.
Want to go out tomorrow with the hopes of catching a GameStop with an extra or two (I preordered all the Wave 1s, but for some reason didn't think about Wave 2 until it was too late.)

So, when it comes to training them in Smash, which amiibos have the most potential, you think?
I'm happy that my Peach can low-hover, didn't really expect that i could teach an amiibo that, but sure enough, she's an evasive menace thanks to just stopping her jump out of range and floating away. And she spams toad if you look at her in a hostile way. Link is... eh. Not that exciting.
So, who can be taught interesting stuff? Planning on getting Zelda, I want to teach her the art of telefragging. But who else has silly stunts like that? I don't want to set my eyes on Pit or Captain Falcon if I can't teach them something neat. Well, Pit vs. Link could be a pretty nice rivalry, I suppose.

Don't give up yet. I've been searching for about 4 days and finally managed to find Captain Falcon. Learn what days your local shops get shipments in, and come in on those days.

The US version is selling for about that now. I bet it'll go higher still. It's been rising slowly since release and has gone up about $20 over the last week or two.

I've actually already named my Villager Killager, WFT is going to be a hard one to name.
I named my Little Mac after my favorite beer!
I was thinking of naming mine Side-B when I get him in a couple days...

I was also allowed to name a custom Smash Bros stage "Dix spray on tit," I think you can imagine what the stage looks like.

If you want a nice straightforward name for Luigi you could go for "Green Man" or "Coward."
It's incredible really, I can barely keep up with it.
I named my Luigi "El Weegee" simply because I couldn't think of anything and I'm bad with names. If I get Captain Falcon I have no idea what to call him.

Quoting myself, because I just got an e-mail from Amazon. My first order Falcon got the same date as Pit/Luigi (Jan 9 - Jan 15). Second order has nothing. I guess I should have checked things out locally today rather than gambling.
re: nicknames, I named my Peach "Millionsof". Gave placeholders to the other ones I sent up today (Link is "BendySword", Zelda is "PatBenatar" because it fit, and I can't remember what I named Mac).
