Just saw Amiibos for the first time in my country and just couldn't resist mostly due to this thread. I bought Fox today and said that I would wait until next month to buy some more. An hour later I see Zelda and pick her up too. What have you people done to me!?

Wonderful 101 is around $26 on Amazon. It doesn't seem like it's hard to find. Pikmin on the other has likely been out of production for a while.

I really wonder if these so-called defects are legit. It seems like people can mod these things easily enough and I can see from my own amiibos that the packaging can be resealed easily enough, at least good enough for ebay purposes.

Morons blowing money on things like this 'for the lols' is why amiibos are becoming so stupidly elusive in places as it is. I don't blame the seller at all, it's the price people are bidding it up to that I'm face-palming at. If I found a defective one I'd shove it on there for a low starting bid just to see what happens.

I got my sealed Little Mac the other day and started to shake the shit out of it to try and raise it's value. Didn't work.

Is there any good carrying cases for these kinds of NFC toys? I take my Amiibos out of their packaging and use them, but I'm worried about causing damage to them (especially those with small parts) when moving them from my apartment to my family's home where I'm spending the holidays.
 
Quick, anyone have a approx avg height dimension in inches for amiibos? At target looking at displays and I only have a few minutes left on break. Thanks!

As long as they aren't taller than 3 inches I'm good. Samus looks to be the tallest so far.
 
pit on toysrus.com now says estimated ship date of 12/31. i don't recall seeing that stamped on there before?

I can't wait to get my Pit :3
 
I really hope Wave 1 and 2 are the only ones that see this supply and scalping fiasco.

Wave 3 seems to already be selling out of preorders so I see those having issues too.

I really hope by Wave 4 this shit is over and that it doesn't come out until May or Summer us and our wallets a break.
 
Score! My GameStop's got them in shipment today so I had to pick it up. I've gotten every single pre-ordered figure from there without issue so that's probably the best bet to pre-order Amiibo's. Haven't had to go hunting for a single figure (except for the trinity but I obtained them at launch) and I have them all.

Any Europeans know where you can order Little Mac? Haven't actively been looking for him in stores, but he seems to be the rarest one yet by far. I can find every other amiibo in stock easily.

I went out and bought two of the bat ones! They are wider and aren't as tall, so I figured why not. I'll spend another $10 for some extra amiibo room!

So i got the email from Tru like most people and reordered my Lucario figure, but I wanted to ask, with the discount deal they gave can you make another purchase of the other amiibos at the discounted price? I personally don't need them as I buy all mine from best buy, but if there was a way to transfer them to someone here who needs them i'd be more than happy to help.

Checked my local walmart, and it was picked clean. Someone even stole the cardboard amiibo display thing, it's ridiculous.

Disney Infinity & Skylanders were fully stocked, but there were 0 amiibos, not even commons.

No idea. Thankfully no one has a colored stand in Wave 3 which will hopefully stick for all future waves.

I do like Pit's blue stand though. Of all the colored stands his is my favorite (would still prefer clear though)
