I really hope Nintendo realizes "Amiibo cards" is a terrible terrible idea. The reason people are crazy for these isn't the ability to fight Fox or Pit in Smash Bros, it's the figure aspect itself.

I don't think Target has received Pit yet (at least mine hasn't). They got a few Capt. Falcons last Friday. I'm going on Friday to check.

The ideal scenario would be another Fox amiibo when the new Star Fox game drops that retains the same functionality as the Smash Bros Fox amiibo, but it just looks different.

Same with Pit and hopefully a new Kid Icarus title.

Characters like Wii Fit Trainer and Duck Hunt Dog, though? I don't foresee another Duck Hunt title in the near future, so that might be a tough one

Fortunately, I was able to obtain Luigi, Captain Falcon and Pit yesterday, however I am still missing Diddy, Marth, Villager and Wii Fit Trainer from my collection thus far. I have pre-ordered most of the batch of wave 3 (with the inclusion of Meta-knight) except Shulk and Lucario. Still though, I am a bit disappointed that Roselina is not available for pre-order at Target in Canada...it is, what it is.

Maybe they could be used in other games to celebrate or pay tribute to the character, rather than have to be used in an actual Duck Hunt game. Like Namco is using the amiibo in their upcoming 3DS games!

I totally agree. I'm sure more people are buying amiibos for the figures itself and not for the gaming functionality. Cards as replacements? Nintendo pls.

This is what I did for Falcon, then ended up finding him up by luck on target, abd cancelled all the other Falcons, they never shipped anyway.

Wow, really pleased with how TRU handled this! Re-ordered all of wave 3 again for 10.99 (except Ike and DDD). Plus I had my $25 credit I used for complaining about this situation in the first place which brought my Amiibo to just over $7 each! 😁

After getting Pit and Samus, been trying to think about future amiibos to get. I have $200 to spend soon.

I think I'll stick with the Luigi and Yoshi Amiibos (probably from GS since most likely won't be on amazon)and preorder Toon Link from amazon now and have it paid off with amazon credit.

Then save $40 of the remaining dollars on amazon credit and wait for Wave 4 to be announced. Do you think it'll be announced sometime in January? I think so but idk. Once its announced, immediately preorder three of Wave 4 and have them fully paid off on amazon too. (None of that "charge when shipped" bs when you have gc money.)

The three from Wave 4, if its only the remaining 3DS starter characters I will go with Robin (want female Robin, but who knows if they'll make one so I'll atleast get this.) Palutena, and Greninja. Some of these can of course be excusive to other retailers, but with me also wanting Pac-Man, Olimar, Charizard, and ZZS to some extents I shuld be good for three wave 4 preorders.

This feels so stressful lol.

Outside of Smash, every single Amiibo use is "Scan and you have this thing forever."

It would be incredibly easy to buy amiibos, unlock content, and then return them.
