Anyone who is still looking for Diddy Gamestop seems to have it right now (along with Luigi)

Seems these will be easier to find as December ends, but one never knows.
 
I have all of wave 2 pre-ordered except for the Metaknight and Lucario >.>

Will probably just resort to importing though to avoid this shitshow.
 
So I'm going through sorting out my preorders and it seems the official nintendo store is already out of stock of Rsalina, Shulk, King Dedede and Meta Knight. I was thinking of using ShopTo however I ordered a few amiibos through them before and they were really damaged as they only use padded bags. Does anyone know of anywhere with them in stock that ships using cardboard boxes?
 
Looks like my local Toys R Us has Little Mac in stock, but they won't open until tomorrow. So that's where I'm headed tomorrow. It's the only amiibo I'm having a hard time finding. Villager, Marth and Wii Fit Trainer are nothing compared to this.

Captain Falcon is up on Amazon (US) available through the site itself. Only 13 left as of this post. My preorder is finally shipping.

Lol nope. I just bust up in here fast when I got the email that my preorder shipped and looked to see if they had more for people. Diddy has been up for ages.

Preordering from Amazon hasn't been bad, you always get your figures but they rarely all ship on day one. I had all of wave 3 preordered on the site, and I'll be lucky if I get one or two of them on day one, and the rest whenever the hell they decide to get a shipment.

If you want your figures on day one, GameStop is your best bet.
 
Ooooo ooooo, my bestbuy.com order for Falcon and Pit have changed from payment validated to preparing order! I have Falcon already, but can't wait to open one of them. And Pit, I couldn't find whatsoever in the store, so he'll be my only one (not opening him) :-).

I actually don't really care about the Smash Bros functionality, but I do like the unlocks in Mario kart 8. I wish they made an amiibo costume for all of the Amiibos.
 
My son is having a blast playing SSB with his amiibos. They do level up fast but when you quit out, just don't transfer their progress and they will revert back to the level last on the figure. It's good for him because he's pretty much button-mashing. He's 5!

Sweet, found 2 Captain Falcon amiibo at my Meijer in MI. Nabbed one just to be safe. Now I just hope my GS has Fox.

Now I need to decide if I should bother with Dedede & Meta Knight after hearing how they work in Kirby & Rainbow Curse.
 
Someone tweet Sakurai that it's too hard completing the same collection that he has and that we want them to reprint figures and not replace them with cards!

Bowser looks boss (pun intended). He's actually short but I guess it's because of his mass.

Wow, BestBuy still hasn't shipped Luigi? They had a ton of Luigi's like a week ago at TRU.

That's interesting.

But they have been late with shipping out the Amiibo's. But if my Pit and Falcon come like my Little Mac did, I'll be very happy!
 
Why would Nintendo hype these things up and just stop manufacturing several of them after they became successful, and then decide to replace them with cards? Do they not want to sell these things to us? It' kinda ridiculous.

People want to buy them. Sell them to us, Nintendo!

They'll restock all the rare stuff post-holidays, you can be sure of that. The cards thing is more a "we're thinking about alternatives" thing, so like 3 or 4 years from now people can still buy Smash Bros character Amiibo Cards to use with Smash Bros even if they never work with other games or have second printings.

Right now the demand is just outpacing the supply. They'll both even out once we're past wave 3 I bet.

So yeah I would do this but some how I think this is all apart of his plan some how. I think that he enjoys watching us struggle.

I hope you're right because I've already invested quite a bit a money into these things and once I get started, there is no turning back until I have them all haha. I'm hoping this Amiibo platform evolves into figures from games that are not simply Smash Bros characters.

GS held it for twice the usual holding period and sold 'em to me this morning. I went ahead and pre-ordered every upcoming Amiibo also at GS since this is far more headache than I care for.

Managed to get a Captain Falcon at a nearby Gamestop. It was the last one too, I'm still waiting on Best Buy to ship out both Captain Falcon and Pit. The website says they're not releasing until 12/31.
