That HDD looks great. I only have windwaker, Pikmin and smash on mine but I'll need something eventually.
I thought it was recommended that the external hard drive have it's own power supply?

Ok, well I had a nice conversation with my 9 year old nephew during our family christmas celebration over Amiibo. He seemed genuinely interested in getting a bunch more, and I felt bad that it's so hard to get some of them.
So I used my Toys R Us coupon code from my cancelled pre-order to order him a Sonic, Lucario, Bowser, Sheik, Captain Falcon, and a Pit.
I have my other pre-order, so I hope they don't cancel a Sonic, because this says limit 1 per customer. But I'm hoping it pertains to the coupon order. Anyhow, I have him pre-ordered at Gamestop in-store as well, just in case.
Hoping he enjoys them, even if he's opening them and I'm not LOL

Anyone have any suggestions as to what I should use to display my amiibos? Kinda stuck on ideas, I'm going to roam around Hobby Lobby for some ideas tomorrow.

Ugh just makes me realize I still have 5 more to go, all common except Fox. At least I got wave 3 all pre-ordered. It's a lot of work and a lot of cash getting all of these things.
Fox, Pikachu, Luigi, Peach, DK. Just a matter of setting the cash aside for the 4 others. I'm not too worried about them so I saved them for last.

I was like you, but then I gave up on that and just imported. No way I'm paying $50 for an amiibo. Though you never know, maybe Nintendo will restock after all. I decided not to take that chance though and imported while I could for not so insane amounts.
I'm fine now with the boxes of three looking a little different

I had to do that with disney movies on bluray thanks to the amazing vault shit disney does. I'm not paying out the ass for something I can import off amazon for cheaper.
Exactly. I mean they're the exact same thing, the only difference is perceived value. I have the feeling though that people are going to care less and less about that when even importing is no longer an option and the US versions are going for over $100. They'll wish they could have an imported version for a reasonable amount. All said and done I paid about $18 extra to import 3 amiibos. About the cost of an extra amiibo. I can live with that.

Hoping my stuff from Best Buy ships tomorrow. Will be nice to race with the Captain Falcon costume in my Mii finally.
I put one of my villagers on auction at my store (since a lot of people where fighting for it), it finally went for 70 bucks, the thirst is real.
I kept the other one and I have one for insurance in case I'm not able to get a rare one later on. The last one I gave it a fellow gaffer for retail price+shipping since he wanted to gift it to his daughter.

As crappy a deal as that seems, especially when most people here are being extremely fair and helpful, it's actually a steal considering the cheapest US version on ebay right now cost $95 (buy it now). That person is offering it for half off.
