Ah, okay. The online store checker tends to be accurate for the most part, so I figured he wasn't able to pre-order anymore.
& maybe I'll get lucky with Rosalina being available in my Target store....though I need to remind myself on only focusing on amiibo that can I get the most "use" out of due to my limited funds. I really just want Sonic, Mega Man, & Pac-Man because they're the 3rd party guests. Otherwise, I wanna aim for characters I can use across multiple games, which is why I got Link first.

It was actually 0530 AM EST until ~0600 AM EST. I was working nights that week and Rosalina was the last thing open on my phones browser when I opened it to check something. I thought it was a fluke but I went for it and was able to check out! It was total and pure luck (especially since I was sleeping from 0830-1530 each day and would miss out on normal pre-order stuff). So if that's what it takes to get a pre-order than yeah, I agree Target is a total joke. Hopefully they are just going to ship a decent amount to their stores, but I wouldn't be surprised if they don't. I'm just super stoked I got a pre-order in and it's (hopefully) one less thing to worry about.

What pisses me off most about the situation is that I am *never* awake at that hour during the week, so it would figure that the one time I actually was 'cuz of an impromptu nap earlier in the night, I didn't even think to check their website. If I had, I might've lucked out too.
Do we know if the Feb 1st date is solid? If so, I guess I'll just have to crash the store when they open and hope that everyone else didn't have the same idea.
Until it gets cancelled... like two thirds of my orders from them so far. Cancelled my falcon, pit but they send me my luigi, ha!
I hope they don´t cancel yours by the way, just a bit bitter.
I think the release dates are variable as we've seen with wave 2.
Honestly, I never check Target and wouldn't have checked at that time (it was 5:35 I think), but I was trying to look something up and being lazy and using my phone instead of the computer in front of me. It was a ridiculous amount of luck I even saw it at that time (or was awake to begin with since I don't normally work nights). But that sucks that you were even awake at that time since it was pretty much a tiny window only open to people on the east cost (or insomniacs on the west coast)
Yeah, I worry about that. The thing I hope works in my favor is that since it was open for such a short period of time it would be quite hard for them to oversell their allotment (especially since there was a limit on pre-orders per person which I absolutely did not go over). I also used a CC that expires in 2019 so I'm hoping I'm safe but if not it'll be a bloodbath when they're released.

I think its a mistake, since they are using exactly the same words as the lucario email...
At least I hope, if they don´t fix it by January 2nd I´m asking my refund.
So I got home from my local Gamestop. They had Pit, Captain Falcon, Luigi, Little Mac, Marth and a Villager. I took one of the Pits home.
For those curious, it's the Gamestop in the Friis shopping center in Aalborg, Denmark. So, yeah, unless you're a local, it's probably a bit far.
Anyway, this makes five. Link, Peach, Zelda, Diddy Kong and Pit. I'm keeping this one a two per month budget, otherwise I'd have cleaned out that shelf. Pit sort of was my first January one. Ike will be the second. Mega Man is locked in for February, not sure on his amiibo partner.
I named my Pit "Q-Pit"

Pit and Captain Falcon just shipped from Amazon.de. Wii Fit Trainer got separated into a second shipment but has the same ETA for arrival so I'm not sure what's up. Must be coming from different warehouses?

Has anyone felt that the Amiibo's make you pick characters you wouldn't otherwise pick? I love playing with Marth now, even though I've never used him before.
The Amiibo's certainly are special LOL.
I wish that you could order some of those other trophies. Alternate costume Link is awesome. LOL

But DeDeDe's wave isn't due out until around Feb 1st anyways. I think the emails are just because Lucario and others said an estimated arrival date of Dec 31st. Whoever set up the pages didn't fill the info out right.

Yep they are all being sold to North America, from people importing and from Japanese folks listing them on ebay. I'm pretty sure if North America didn't have a supply problem Japan wouldn't right now either. It's amazing how badly NoA botched amiibos here.

The Pit I ordered from Gamestop Christmas morning is due to arrive tomorrow afternoon! I will finally be done with the first two waves completely. All but Rosalina is locked down for wave 3 though, so it shouldn't be as stressful to finish that one as it was for wave 2. I anticipate that Rosie will be well stocked in store, and even if she isn't, my local Target is close enough that I can check multiple times a day for her. The scalpers will NOT get my money for these things; I swear it!
Part of me wants the Little Mac amiibo since he's one of my SSB mains, but I don't know what else I could use him in, aside from random rewards in Hyrule Warriors.
.....now I wish for a Wii U Punch-Out where you can fight opponents based on the amiibo you scan. Like how DK was an unlockable opponent in the Wii game.

Got it as well. I found one at a Target on Christmas Eve, but wow. TRU have been clowns about this whole thing. First they packaged my little mac in a bubble mailer and had to replace it, then they canceled two orders (and boy do I have faith in the replacement purchases now, let me tell you), and now this. No wonder they're losing such ground nationally.

I just realized, that picture in the OP should be updated with the Wave 3 characters & the fact Kirby & The Rainbow Curse allows you to use the Kirby, Dedede, & Meta Knight amiibo.
& I also realized I'm only 3 amiibo short of getting all the Mario Kart 8 costumes....& that I need to scan the new ones I got as well.
Edit: I'm guessing JPN-only games at the moment aren't gonna be mentioned in the OP? The costumes in the 3DS One Piece game are part of the reason why I wanted some amiibo, but I'm still waiting for Namco to confirm a localization.

I've set it up at my work from them to send 25% of my paycheck to Nintendo. Makes things easier for me.

Yeah got one too for my Captain Falcon amiibo. As long as I get it, I am cool with that. Worrying about trying to find it somewhere else isn't worth the time or energy.

They look too good in the packaging to be removed, in my opinion. It really sucks that I can't use them like that though, but I haven't seen a real need to do that anyway.
