I preordered a single Pit from two different Best Buys, no cancellations yet. Both emails said they would be ready for pickup tomorrow. Hope they are right.

First Wave I ordered Marth and they said it was ready for pick-up.

Got my import Villager and Wii Fit Trainer from Nippon-Yasan today! So happy they came in good condition.

Well, Wii Fit Trainer is in customs in Poland. Anyone who used Amazon.de to ship to the states, how long did this step usually take for you?

Usually my Japanese imports happen almost instantaneously.

Most of the problem seems to be Pit for in store pickup.

Yep. Depends on the region. Some places didn't get certain Amiibo period. But then again, the higher chance of shipping orders getting fulfilled had a lot to do with a good portion of folks opting for pick up.

I'm glad I didn't cancel my other ones yet after seeing retail stores are still having issues and canceling orders like Pit at best buy. Surely at least ONE of my sets will make it to me unscathed, right? Right?!

amiibo are region free and will work on any wii u.

packaging is different but the figure itself is the same functionality

Pretty sure they're exactly the same. Somebody had thought maybe the .letters on the bottom were different but I don't think anybody actually confirmed that.

Amiibos are 100% the same across regions. Even the bottoms of the bases are exactly the same. The only difference is packaging.

From what I could tell, it looks like the difference is that instead of 6+ in the right corner, there is actually a number indicating which number that Amiibo is in the series.

Underneath that, instead of a blank space like the US box, there is a list of different languages there?

The bottom where it says Nintendo and Amiibo is identical. I have not seen the back of the packaging, so that may be different.

Ike and Dedede are the safest guesses, especially Ike. Being a Fire Emblem character seems to be a kiss of death regarding amiibo availability

If Dedede does end up becoming super rare, it's gonna suck for anyone who actually wants to use him for Kirby Rainbow Curse. :/

I got my Pit no problem. Maybe pay for it fully and not the $5 minimum to be sure, but I had no problems with Pit and plan on preordering atleast Toon Link from them soon.

Nah. I have almost all of the regulars (and Shulk) preordered there for in store pickup and I'm fairly confident they'll deliver. They're good about online preorders too. I ordered some amiibos off their website and the shipping was fast and packaging was excellent.

So.. I decided to change my Ike and Dedede order to pick up at store to save a few bucks.

I had to cancel one order and put in a new one, so hopefully I didnt fuck anything up lol.
