pre-order shulks arrived today. They are also apparently the only Shulks
 
Although I didn't receive a call from Gamestop about my pre-order, I went ahead and stopped by when doing errands today and said they had just got Shulk in. I'm a bit disappointed that the packaging on the ones I had the chance to look at were all damaged looking, but I'll just open the one I got anyway, I guess. I asked out of curiosity if there'd been any extras other than the ones for pre-orders, and as expected, they said they didn't get in any extras.

I decided to check out the Amiibo selection when picking up groceries at Meijer's after hearing some people have found wave 3 stuff there, and sure enough there were 2 Ikes, 2 Mega Mans, and 2 Dededes on the pegs, so I bought one of each of them. There were some empty pegs near them, but I'm not sure what might have been on them.

They are, but the bad news is that most GameStops only got enough for the pre-orders, not for walk-ins.

Cool, my pre-order Shulk that I was texted to come pick up was not there. The store did not get enough to cover pre-orders. At least the sales associate attempted to make me feel better by lying and say that anyone who ordered in-store pick up did not get one.

Unreal. Between this and the madness that Metaknight will be, losing the will to collect these.

Anyways, just picked up toon link from walmart, and also got an e-mail they shipped Sonic. Still waiting for Megaman to ship from them.

Now I just need to get my metaknight and Dedede...
 
Amazon US is finally giving me a shipment date for Mega Man: Feb 16th.

Now all I need is for my Gamestop Ike preorder to show some movement.

I've got some questions

1. When are preorders for wave four going up?

2. If I want to get an Ike, where should I go to make this happen? Target or best buy?

3. Does anyone have an extra Pit that would like to trade for either Little Mac or Captain Falcon?

Didn't like Wind Waker, Minish Cap or Spirit Tracks that much and I absolutely despise Phantom Hourglass.

The amiibo, however, looks quite nice. Tempting.
 
Got Shulk, he looks pretty damn good.

Still waiting on my Ike though. The hunt for another is gonna suck, I'm definitely doing x2 preorders on Lucina and Robin.

1- Nobody knows. amazon.co.uk already put theirs up.
2- amazon.fr? Seriously, might be your best bet. But I would rank the store chances: TRU, Target, BB.

ehh, you can get it for about $31 on ebay shipped. Play-asia will be about $39 shipped.

I also see a US seller with one for about $34. that's what I would go with.

It really depends on the store. With Lucario, my TRU was good with the ticket system and having the figures behind the counter, but I've heard nightmares stories, as well.

I just ordered with a new free trial of Prime Link, and Peach and chose No Rush and that says the 19th where TL said 16th-19th so maybe they are grouping it but I checked a second after ordering and it said preparing then immediatly checked to see gc balance, saw a pending charge that shouldn't be there (all orders payed via gc) and saw that it wasn't preparing anymore.

Feel like I'm in the twilight zone now lol. Hopefully I get him.

On that note: I...bought a Peach? WAAAA? I guess having $3 off and actually having the money when it goes on sale will do that to me.

Edit: Also $2 off an eBook. Fuck yeah!

Tough call. Depends on how bad you want it. I don't think Nintendo lied, but at the same time, who knows when they will make a come back. Want to wait until the Summer or maybe later?

Got me, but money may be better spent on one of the other 5 rares from the first 2 waves since there has been no word at all about them coming back.

Also there is JP Marth up on ebay with prime shipping for $29.99, so would go with that.
 
Picked up my Shulk today. Plastic mold in the package was cracked and there was no other option as I was the last to do my pickup but I am happy to have one. C'mon Meta! When they called me to pick up my order I told them to sell my Shiek and Toon Link pre-ordersas I already had them from another store. When I picked up my Shulk a few hours later the guy said that they sold Link and Sheik to a walk-in about 5 mins after he talked to me. Hopefully they went to someone who will enjoy them.
 
My gamestop said the shulks they got were poorly packaged so some of the shulks have damaged packaging. I was lucky enough to get there early to pick 2 good ones.

I don't understand not opening them... they're toys!

I stood in line outside Target and bought my daughters (they have to share) a Rosalina when they came out. The opened it up within minutes and she was playing with the other Amiibos in their dollhouse and train sets.

My wife told me I was crazy for letting them play with such an expensive toy.... but it's a TOY!
 
So out of nowhere Zmart in Chile put all of Wave 3 up for preorder, moving the release date to February 23. They all sold out within an hour (except the common trio of Bowser, Sheik and Toon Link), and by the time I got there I was able to secure Sonic, Meta Knight and Lucario, but I missed on Rosalina, Shulk, Mega Man and Dedede.

I cannot express the weird mix of feelings I'm having right now.
