I GOT THE WORD. My 2/13 amiibros have arrived!!! I can pick them up tonight, just gotta wait for my father to come home with the car so I can pick them up.

Take this as rumor, but a GS employee showed me in their system prices for used Amiibos. Not a big surprise they will buy used ones for a pittance, and resell for just under retail. The kicker, he said, was he expects to see a Shulk situation similar to Xenoblade Chronicles. The current used price for Shulk in the system wasn't currently inflated, but if Gamestop mysteriously only sells "used" Shulks in the relatively near future then you can expect to much more than retail.

I'm sorry you're a sad, pitiful person who pretends to love Nintendo without caring of the idea of community behind Nintendo. You took something people love and turned it into a big joke and mocked it, then you used it as a hostage to receive a false sense of respect.

I honestly don't care if you burn them. I only feel sorry for the people who put their time and energy into making them. I feel sorry for the people who carried them in their trucks earning an honest paycheck. I feel sorry for the customer service reps who had to deal with angry or disappointed people who genuinely wanted to collect or play with those figures. I'm sorry for all the money you wasted that could have gone to better causes then spite, like children, or charities. I'm sorry that your channel failed so unbelievably that you had to resort to negativity to get viewership or attention.

Do it. Melt them. Destroy them. Make a nice long video of you setting them up, set them on fire. Watch them burn. Whatever makes you happy. Because at the end of the day, you may have felt like you've won, that you got your payback. But you'll be in the exact same spot you where before you bought them, a no body, who everyone will forget after a week. If you're smart you'll sell them, make a profit. People have made it clear they're dumb enough to buy them at 3x the value on eBay. And like many parasite, you take advantage of weakness.

I don't have a Villager, I don't have an American Marth, or an American WiiFit Trainer, I don't have any pre-orders for Wave 4. But I have community, I have something I can share with someone I love who in turn shares the same interests and hobbies I do. Do you share your pitiful days with someone just as low as you?

Picked up my 2 x Shulks from my local GameStop! Plus got confirmation that my Ike, D3 and Mega Man shipped from Amazon and should be here tomorrow!

Likely not the case, in terms of SKU conversion. Gamestop started accepting used game figures a few months ago, and they've all been reasonably priced.

That being said, rarer / more sought after figures will obviously command a higher price than, say, a used Peach.

The guys at my local GS straight up told me that used Amiibos would be a thing, just like Disney Infinity and Skylanders. Unfortunately, it's not quite a comparable situation; even the rare ones of those are still at least somewhat available, so they don't get sold used for absurd prices. Hopefully GS won't join others in gauging Shulk prices. I'm hoping he'll get some sort of reissue when Xenoblade 3DS comes out, like they're doing for Marth when Code Name STEAM comes out.

Some of the used DI figures do trade in for 1/3rd to half their cost, which is surprisingly high for that kind of thing. I know my extra Merida I got with the Toybox bundle went for almost $5 store credit. Maybe that'll credit incentive will bring a few of the rarer ones back into other people's hands down the road.

If Shulk remains somewhat obtainable I agree. I hope it doesn't turn out to be true, but if he can't be found anywhere except used at GS he isn't going to be cheap.

Got my shulk and my toon link from gs. They also had about 4 shieks but all of them were reserved. The guy told me that the 20th Is when they expect the rest of wave 3.

Thats the ultimate limit of my acknowledgement he exists.

My overall aim to kick his pride in the dick. He has absolutely nothing that could make me retaliate any further, no bullets left in his p-shooter. He won't admit it, but I know he considers himself a failure. Thats good enough for me.
 
Just picked up one of my Shulk from Gamestop. Girl working there told me that the other two (I ordered three) wouldn't be available to pick up until the 20th.

This happen to anyone else today who preordered more than one?
 
Nintendo is certainly making the situation fun. Had Shulk pre-ordered months ago, and they called me in to get it. No problems on that front thankfully, but the guy mentioned the store only got 3 pre-orders for it, and they were only sent those 3 for the store. Fun stuff. :\
 
Anyone here in the US shipped an amiibo to Canada? I think it's going to cost around $9, but wanted some 2nd options. Can't wait to open Ike & Dedede up.
 
I got the call from GameStop yesterday to pick up my Shulk today. I just came from there and they said they didn't get any in and don't know when they will.
 
Anybody know if TRU will have the new amiibos up on the racks or will they have them behind the counter?

How was it like for Lucario?
 
Got my Shulk preorder today. Associate who checked me out mentioned they got quite a few preorders for him, but didn't get a specific number. My store actually called me earlier today in addition to the text yesterday to confirm they had him in and I could pick him up within 48 hours, or call them if I needed more time, so that was nice of them.

Well, I'm officially out of the Amiibo game until they do their inevitable Pokemon series or they do a better Fire Emblem set or a Xenoblade set. Good luck to those still on the hunt!
 
Got Shulk today. Got an email from Best Buy about my Meta Knight. Picking up Dedede, Mega Man, and Sonic on Friday. Sheik and Toon Link are on their way via Amazon. Already got Bowser and Lucario and I have Ike still on pre-order from Gamestop's website. It is a good time to be an obsessive insane fan.

Though I guess I need to bite the bullet and spend a bunch on a Rosalina.

No idea. He claims he is lurking on a friend's account. Why do you need a friend's account to lurk? Also for a lurker he's doing a bad job considering Azula stopped coming here for over a week now and the info is even on the twitter account.

Anyways is this guy part of ISIS? It's like the demand of Japan to get Jordan to release the prisoner for them. Seriously, most higher ups at NeoGAF probably don't care about amiibos enough and even if it did, they wouldn't want that kind of person around.
 
Wait, so Gamestop is putting these out on the shelf today? I thought the 13th was the day. I can't keep up with this thread with so much work going on. Hopefully all of these Shulks are just preorders folks are picking up.

The Shulks coming in are all for preorders, and if what I've heard turns out to be correct, they won't be getting any additional Shulks for the foreseeable future. Seems like he's preorder or bust.
