Yea he threw it in a bag right after scanning. I did call 15 minutes later but no one answers at that store. It looks like someone on CAG forums had the same thing happen. He has a replacement Shulk on order by WIS system. I'll see if i can do the same.
 
I went to six stores this morning. No Sonic, Mega Man, Shulk, Toon Link, or even Sheik. All the local Gamestops and (the one) TRU only had enough stock for pre-orders, and Wal-Mart/Target/Best Buy didn't receive anything. I'm not exactly in the best location for Amiibos. Now the online hunt begins.

Off-Topic, but I did stumble upon a copy of Sonic Colors Wii for $5, so that was nice.

My TRU was only getting 4 sonic and mega man and 2 of ddd and 1 Ike. I drive by and already a line of 20 deep. Yea definitely not worth the hassle. I just wanted 2 mega man, one for me and one for a good friend

Nah, I just got the first one, Mega Man Prime if you will. He'll stay original blue. The other ones are ordered from Nippon-Yassan and Nin-Nin, which will hopefully arrive shortly after the Japanese release date next week.

It'll be spectacular when it's all done. Just you all wait and see!
 
Have to hope that Newegg comes through in the end. Didn't have any luck finding Ike or King Dedede today.
 
Hit Target, Walmart, Best Buy, Toys R Us, and 2 Meijers this morning. TRU had Sonic, Megaman, Dedede but I wasn't in line early enough. No where else had anything new-ish except lots and lots of Toon Link at TRU
 
Back from driving around to a few places after TRU.

Got to TRU an hour before it opened and there were already 4 guys hanging out in the cold so just went out to chat. Second guy in line had the only Ike and only 2 DDDs preordered so knew I had no chance at them, but was able to get a Megaman and Sonic. They were limiting one per customer so up to the guy that came in after me got one of each of them. When it was getting close to 10am a ton of people showed up of various ages, none of which got anything. Store got no MM new3ds units at all either. Enjoyed chatting with people even though it was so cold I thought my toes were gonna fall off. No one from the back tried running past, but I don't think it would have worked anyway with how familiar all the first people were with the people that worked there.

Also for anyone wanting Toon Link, they were out in force. Like at least 5 pegs full of them just on display at TRU. As many as the Bowsers it seemed. Got one of them as well to get the 3 for $33 deal. Still sads that I missed out on DDD and Ike though. Still have no rares for trading so going to have to find them elsewhere.

I said nope, call the manager, these other guys deserve it. FINALLY the manager agreed with us and took the other MM 3DS and distributed as needed. The douche stomped away all upset.
So I walked out empty handed but at least I helped those guys who deserved it more get their 3DS'.
Oh and one of the nice guys was into amiibo and didn't get sheik, so I had an extra I told him I would sell to him for retail this weekend ;)

Stories like that are why I just don't bother with the department store style setups. I physically can't run because of a childhood injury and have been just blown past a few times in the past. Good on you for standing up, and good on the manager for doing the right thing. I've seen it go the other way in the past, with workers just not giving a fuck.

Well, no luck for me. Ended up around 8th in line at TRU, they only had 3 megaman, 3 sonic, and 2 Ike. All got sold by the time they got to me. Drove around to a couple BestBuys, Targets, and another TRU but none had anything new.
 
I didn't get Diddy Kong cos i thought he looked strange compared to DK which i adore but... is the figure actually well made? What is the general consensus on him? I just saw him online for like 11 euro, should i get him or is he not really a must have?
 
Just got my tickets for Dedede(only 2 total), Mega Man(10) and Sonic(4). Ike is not here.

TRU in San Mateo has Lucario but none here in Redwod City.

Would have missed Dedede had I got here a minute later. Today is a good day!

Btw there are couple black and red 3ds's here. 4 of each I think.
 
Was second in line at tru today and got Megaman and Dedede. They had a ton of Toon Link and zero Ike. Only enough to cover preorders which sucked because Ike was the main one I wanted with Megaman.

Anyone else that got a Sonic thing his paint job looks odd? Like the head seems to be a matte blue color that looks dirty while the rest of his body is a glossy. Maybe I just got a bad one.
 
I was in a Walmart here in Tampa today that had Sheik, Toon Link, and Bowser from the new wave ... Almost got one, but I figured I'd leave them for the people that are more desperately searching.
 
I don't understand how Sonic is in such short supply. His games have sold best on Nintendo consoles since Sega went third party.

TRUs today generally have two to three times more Mega Man than Sonic. Sonic is clearly getting "rare" levels of supply while Mega Man is getting "common" levels of supply (but probably still will be impossible to find because of demand). Why would they make fewer Sonic than Mega Man and just as many Sonic as King Dedede and Sheik? It's surprising.

The biggest problem with a lot of Diddy Kongs is wonky cross-eyes.

Hm, haven't heard or seen that. I've noticed Sonics that have the black paint from the nose get in they eyes and make him look pretty bad.
 
Just waited outside of Best Buy and when they opened a bunch of fat nerds starting running for probably the first time in years. I'm sorry but this shit is beneath me.
 
I managed to get a Shulk order when I got Majora's Mask 3D last night. It won't be showing up until May, but I'm glad I managed to snag one at all.
 
TRU in Elyria was insane and really a mad dash. I get these things for my boyfriend. I am not really cut throat with these guys but I snatched a Dedede like weave in a fight because he is just so damn cute.

Got Sonic, Megaman and a Dedede at Elyria, OH TRU. Best Buy had a couple Shieks as well.
