Amiibo Thread 3 | Where release dates are made up and preorders don't matter!

Holy crap... nearly one month later Rosalina actually arrived from France. I now own every Amiibo save for Meta Knight, who will be here in a week.
 
Managed to get an in-store web order for Shulk when picking up the new 3DS XL this morning. I thought for sure I missed my chance again once the website sold out yesterday.

Na, it's not like paint in the wrong spot, It's that all the blue on the head looks odd.

My TRU had the same amount of Sonics as Megaman's I think. Dedede was way lower with only 2 total and they were both preorders. I think Sheik is more then those since she has been on and off for like a week or two now.
 
my dedede shipped from toysrus.com today

sonic shipped yesterday from amazon

mega man is still on pre-order at target.com... no telling when that is coming

my goal is to never stand in a line for these, ever :( I hope I can achieve that
 
Went to TRU and someone already snagged the 1 Dedede they got. He was here at 7am. No way am I doing that.

If anyone happen to get an extra I'll pay plus extra or trade. Long shot I know.

How much of each did they get? Curious about supply. Sonic cannot be this rare at all.

That's the one piece I wanted. I was surprised there were so many people there to be honest, I was able to get two MegaMan's and a Toon Link though. I'm sure D3 will come up for order online at some point.

They got 4 Dedede, 12 Megaman and maybe a handful of Sonic. By the time I got to the shelf space all they had was 2 Sonic, the ONE Dedede and maybe 4 of Megaman. People were snatching up Megaman before anyone else.

There were only two Sonics left when she grabbed ours, so there may have been four total. There were four Dededes, 12 Mega Mans and no Ikes.

I was a little suprised too because when I got Lucario there was maybe 8-10 people there. I think you were there earlier in the day for Lucario. It was your post that made me catch LCT to the mall. hahaha

I should've preordered Ike and Sonic...or at least Toon Link.
 
Amazon delivered my Mega Man on time and in perfect condition. Still need TRU or GS to come through with a Sonic and GS on my Ike and D3s. Then, provided Best Buy has my pre-ordered Meta in store next week, I should be good for this wave.

I wouldn't say easy, but probably easier then Lucario. Like this is just the first US store that has put out Magaman, so there will be other chances, while Lucario is just from TRU and who knows if they will restock.

This is coming from someone who would gladly trade you his Megaman, but really it's just because I think I can get another one while I don't think I'll see Lucario at a store again. So would be in bad faith.

Probably won't sit on shelves long, but who knows. I'm sure all from this wave will eventually up on different sites like Target, GameStop, etc for order at weird times to be honest, which is why I'm not super worried about missing out on D3.

And yes, that was me who got the Lucario a week before street date lol
 
Can we get those release dates per store added to the OP? Cause now I'm asking is King Dedede and Ike released only in Toys R Us stores today?

... but the tracking number doesn't work. wat do gaf

That would be a custody battle for the history books. There is always visitation as well. XD

Well judging by that info it seems sonic and De3 are the short supply ones. I'm really amazed that Sonic was in such small supply. That does not make sense at all.
 
Dammit, I have to wait until next week for my Sonic. And I can't cancel the order & buy him elsewhere on account of how rare he apparently is.

Some greasy nerds took all of the stock at my toys r us. No one per customer rule. I also had to shame a guy for trying to run through the store and cut the line and he got pissed at me. I thought I was going to have to throw down over amiibos

Try checking your tracking number on the FedEx site even if they tell you it's UPS. This happened with their recent Lucario shipments.

That promo message was a way for people with cancelled preorders to place an order back in December. Don't worry about it!

I was the last one in line to get a ticket for one of the seven Mega Man Amiibo they had. It would've been a sour birthday if I didn't get him. They had zero Ikes for anyone who didn't pre-order and had two King Dededes available for non-preorder but the first two in line grabbed them. I wasn't too bothered to get him. Apparently Sonic was delayed for my TRU so who knows when he'll come in.

The people who showed up toward the last thirty minutes before opening jogged inside right to the shelves. Nobody seemed to care that myself and others said that tickets were handed out earlier. When they eventually found out we weren't lying, they scattered away within a minute. I'm sad about Ike but I'll see if any are available at BBY next week.

One of the TRU employees I spoke to yesterday told myself and two other guys that he's seen the Duck Hunt and Game & Watch Amiibo already. It was pretty funny.
