I'll be at BB Friday. I'm hoping there won't be a line until around 15 minutes before they open. I'd like to stay in my car, temps around here have been in the single digits in the morning, with wind chill making it in the negatives.

Might I suggest a heated jacket? I have a Milwaukee jacket that has a rechargeable battery that also works with my drill and has a usb port to also charge your devices from your jacket. It's perfect for those of us have to wait outside in cold climates. Saved my butt waiting out in the snowstorm for Rosalina on super bowl Sunday.

I'd like to go Friday morning to try and get a metaknight but I have work.

Y'know, full disclosure: before I knew this community existed, I actually had 2 spare amiibos, one Captain Falcon with a weird helmet defect, and a Pit I forgot I ordered online. I didn't know what else to do with them, so I put them on ebay. Shortly after, I found all you awesome folks here and now I'm wishing I could go back and never have sold them.

I feel dumb and guilty for doing it, honestly, so now, whenever I can an get extra or 2, after helping my brother and a friend of mine get what they need since they don't have the immediate means of hunting for amiibos online or in stores, I do what I can to find anyone who's looking for something specific here.

superNESjoe, trading with you was great and I'd love to do it again. I'm very glad I could help you with Rosalina, and you with you with the Lucario my friend needed. Draconestra, if you're here, the Pit I got from you is gonna be a hell of an awesome surprise for my brother's birthday, especially if I can get Captain Falcon and Little Mac with it. I really feel that trading with the community is more helpful than harmful, though obviously many people buying in bulk just for trade fodder are stopping those who simply want to buy at retail, though it's a big grey line compared to scalping, but, again, only when the trade fodder is unnecessarily bought in high amounts. What I do appreciate about trades is that the scalpers can't get 'em en masse, and it ensures a $12.99 figure is exchanged for a $12.99 figure, regardless of rarity.

I've been reading into both sides of this for the last pages, and I want to remain neutral, but I do think that trading within reason with the community is definitely way more beneficial than just scalping...which is unfortunately what I did.

Hope you guys can forgive me, and know that I'm only buying extras for my brother, friends, and even-price trades, and that's that.

You did absolutely nothing wrong despite what others might tell you. That being said, most people that do sell these keep it to themselves because it doesn't add anything to the thread community. I think you'd be surprised by how many people browse this thread and resell.

But anyway, I'm just saying, don't let it get you down too much. if it does make you feel guilty, yeah totally try and help others out. That's what I do, I post any time I see an amiibo go live somewhere.

Go in and ask. Talk to people that are around the vidya games and the customer service desk. Like seriously. If I can't get a number on how many extra a place will have/if they are limiting how many people can buy/if they are going to just let people run in then I have no reason to wait hours before opening.

I was in another forum and almost everyone grabbed 3 Meta Knights. How many will be sold to fellow members for MSRP rather than simply traded out for rares or scalped off? Probably very little.

Since a rare has a higher value, it's the same thing as scalping.

See guys, THIS is what Amiibo hunting is all about! My daughter was so excited, she was literally HUGGING the box at the store (Link is her favorite character. Mostly because she likes watching me play Wind Waker HD)

Awesome - its nice to have kids into the same things.

My daughter right after we got home. Got Kirby at walmart and the other 2 came from a gamestop order from last week. She likes to do youtube videos and without any coaching from me or her mom she says "Leave a like and subscribe!" at the end. She has watched a ton of cookiefan and other dumb shit and it wears off like crazy.

rjinaz, it was bugging me for a while now since I became active, and I just felt I had to come clean already, of which I feel very relieved now and glad I haven't had the pitchforks driven at me. I really couldn't keep it to myself, so it's good that I was able to get it off my chest. I keep reloading pages to alert everyone here of possible orders, and I'll definitely be doing more trades, so I want to help out when I can, as others have done for me and everyone else in the past.

Heh, hell of a way to get near the end of OT3, eh? I think there was a lot of pent-up frustration, and it's good that we were able to address it. I'm in this thread for the long haul, so I just wanna know that we'll all be maintaining this great community for now and the future. Here's to a great OT 4 and Wave 4!

Yep, and I completely understand it. i don't think name calling, shaming, and pointing fingers is necessary, but I understand the frustration. Getting these amiibos in NA is quite a ridiculous endeavor. I have the feeling wave 4 is going to be worse in some ways. The fact that they still are not available for preorder really makes me worried for more exclusives.

The only way rarity comes into play is if you're hoping to specifically get much more than the original price you paid. So whether it's MSRP or trade, it's even. If it's a rare and you're selling for more than $12.99, you're scalping.

I can't speak for others, but you're making a blanket statement that anyone with untraded extras will scalp them, and that simply can't 100% be the case. I figured he didn't, yeah. There's the blemish on the cheek too. It's hard to see in a close-up pic, but it's definitely there. It wouldn't have been so bad if the armor had marks, becauae then I could just send it to Saludos Amiibos as one of my 7 custom Mega Mans commission, but why did it HAVE to be the face? Ugh, aggravating.
