Best Buy came through with my Shiek, Toon Link, and Bowser preorders. I was concerned after Pit was late last time and some of the horror stories we have all heard.
TRU in store preorder came through yday and Rosie is in the mail due for delivery on Tuesday.
It feels real nice to have additions to the family. Good luck to all out there!

I got Rosalina, Shiek, Toon Link, and Bowser.
Got there about half an hour early. There were 4 other Amiibros waiting in line. Seemed like the nicer sort of folk you'd see on NeoGaf, no scalpers. We all went in and everybody grabbed 1 Rosalina, Target looked to have maybe 10 between the shelf and the cart, maybe more than that in box. They also had Shiek, Toon Link and Bowser and since Amazon's still giving the March date, I grabbed them. I think I'll keep the Shiek preorder though since that one is sounding more rare.
I'm happy though as Wave 3 is completely accounted for. Lucario shipped this morning, haven't heard anything from Best Buy or Gamestop but I have preorders down on those and the rest at Amazon.
Onward to Wave 4 (and Toad)!

Your point is that a sale is a sale no matter how the sale gets made. And yet you are complaining that they won't sell it to you the way you them to.

All stored seem to have 20-28 and they came back up for sale online. Some CS are saying scalpers are hosed because more are coming. If you are using her to trade I would do it soon before they start seeming more common. Perception might as well be reality. I bet ebay is flooded with them. Will be curious to see how low they go.

Got the last Rosalina from Target. I felt bad because a dude showed up like 5 seconds after me and was visibly upset. Sorry, guy. Also got my gohastings pre-orders of Toon Link and Sheik in. Once I get them and hopefully Dedede I'll be satisfied with this wave.

not sure why shes been deemed common by some in the past couple of pages. granted, most everyone who wanted one this morning was able to get one. but try scoring one later on today. but then there are also whispers of target restocking her in the coming days. so we'll see.

No ZSS yet. If we see a new link pose it will be more than likely with the new Legend of Zelda game.
Toon Link has the same functioality as regular link if you don't care about which style.

They do seem to be pretty common (for now). Target had them available on their site this morning too. I just can't see anyone being desperate enough to get Rosalina that they'd be willing to part with Little Mac or some of the other rare amiibos.

I had the weirdest experience this morning. I have two Targets within 10 minutes of my house. My wife went to one, I went to the other. We both got to our respective locations at 7:20am, with no one else there.
Around 7:30am, an old guy got to my location and was smoking a cigarette far away. 10 minutes later, his wife got out of the car and they both moved up to the front of the door. I was sitting against the wall to the side of the door.
Around 7:45am, a 17-ish looking kid came up.
When they opened the doors at 8am, the kid grabbed a shopping cart and TORE down the aisles towards the amiibos. I casually walked with the old couple to the aisle, where we saw him crouched down scanning everything.
There were 7 Rosalina, 2 Sheik, tons of Bowser and Toon Link, and standard fare otherwise.
The old guy made a comment about how the kid got there so fast, and he just seemed pretty worked up. He then just walked away with his empty cart. What was he even looking for?
The old couple then mentioned they were just looking for some "Toon Link" character. I pointed it out for them. I told them the big event though was the Target exclusive Rosalina, and to a lesser extent, Sheik. They took my advice for the Rosalina, and mulled over Sheik.
I grabbed two Rosalina (one for a friend in case he had no luck), and one Sheik (I wanted the other for a friend, but I wanted to give the old couple a chance). They passed up on Sheik, ultimately, so I grabbed a second for a friend.
The phone was ringing off the hook with people asking for Rosalina, and the guy was getting pissed. As he was ringing me up, he suggested that I buy all the other Rosalina to piss off all the annoying callers, who were demanding he hold them aside over the phone. We chuckled.
My wife's location was a bit more heated, letting in "team members with guests" on the side door 30 minutes before 8am. After that, they only allowed one per customer, but they were claiming they got 100 Rosalina units in stock. Funny that the store that got 7 had no limit, and the one with 100 limited to one per customer.
Oh well, I got my Rosalina and Sheik; I'm happy!

Well, I must say that I had a very pleasant experience this morning while waiting to get Rosalina. I was expecting the worst after reading horror stories, but the group that I was with(for the most part) were wonderful people. For about an hour there were 6 of us waiting for Target to open its doors, and it was really fun swapping stories and chatting about games in general -- really helped to pass the time! An older woman, whom we had made friends with on Friday while camping out for Lucario, was the first one in line this morning for Rosie/Sheik. We learned all about how she has been going to different shops on release days to pick these up for her grandsons because she doesn't want them to have to wait out in the cold/one is handicapped and he can't make it out to these types of things. It was touching to hear how dedicated she is to getting these for him, and how she will reluctantly buy a villager at a high cost off of eBay just because she knows how badly he wants one. It made me really wish that I had one to offer to her. When it got to about 10 minutes till' a larger group showed up, and when the doors opened we were asked to please not run to the electronics department. Of course, the newcomers all sprinted to the back, and they were ahead of all of us that had been waiting for over an hour.

Ugh, I can't stop thinking about that scalper and his two cronies this morning getting into it with the electronics guy. Real Comic Book Guy (Simpsons) type character--I hope he doesn't keep popping up for the other releases. Then again, I'm hoping that I get preorders in and don't have to wait on line at 7:30 AM for any of the others...
Yeah the Rosalina panic at this point might have been unnecessary if they keep her well stocked. Her going back up online on Target after stores opened is a blessing too since I didn't go to the store this morning. I'm willing to play the waiting game on Lucario even more now after today, although I don't expect there to be as many of him as there are of Rosalina due to the comparison in their availability. Meta-Knight remains my biggest worry though, plus getting a Shulk from Gamestop for my friend will be a nightmare.
There should be a few people doing that I imagine. I should have an extra if my Target order goes through. Managed to find one in store on a whim after already ordering one online this morning. Decided to grab it for a Texas/Canada Gaffer that might need it. Will sell it at cost ($19.41) plus shipping (if not in DFW) if it comes through.
I wonder how many people have pre-ordered it. We only received one Sheik at the flagship store. :/
Well the preorder has been up for over 24 hours so I'm guessing a lot more than they have? I ordered a Diddy & Mac from them, they cancelled Mac and I got Diddy. I threw in an order for Sheik just in case since I have some friends who want one.

Funny how a lot of you bitch about scalpers but pick up extras to trade for rare/expensive figures. Possibly not letting another collector to show up to the store and grab a figure they're looking for.

33 here as well but who cares. If anything that puts you in the age that you were raised by nintendo and probably more likely to covet a physical representation of a childhood favorite character that may have never been made available in the past. Plus I have an amazing 7 yr old girl that is as enthuastic as me.

Ebay is a decent judge of scarcity or demand.. In Rosalina's case, results give me an astounding 850+ results. Usually I get between 200-350 for any particularly uncommon/rare amiibo. So it seems a lot of people got her to sell rather than keep, which would hopefully deflate the resell market, but it hasn't yet. Apparently there are tons of people who didn't get one, and fear they missed their best chance, because they are going for $40 dollars right now on average. So the jury is still out on how common she is or isn't, depending on any future shipments, but for right now, a lot of people are paying a high price for her.

Whoohoo, I got these about 47 minutes after they opened, and that was the only Sheik, so I'm pretty gamed right now.
....It's too bad I have 3 Rosalinas coming my way >_<. I mean one can be a desk ornament at work
There was also definitely a line of people at the store from what I can understand from the cashier at Target, so I'm honestly surprised I even got these. They also had a 1 Amiibo per Character set up too so that was nice.

How much would it cost to ship an amiibo, within the US? I'm assuming USPS is the cheapest option. Going to sell my extra Rosalina to a GAFFer for cost plus shipping, but I don't really ship things often so I don't know what to expect.

My girlfriend managed to score me not one, but TWO Captain Falcon amiibos. Purely by accident, but considering how well she barely tolerates my video gaming, I am beyond ecstatic. It was my money anyhow, but she lives close to the US border and found them while she was shopping for other stuff.
