Okay so, I'm talking to pete_clarf now about doing a giveaway. Not entirely sure what the best way to go about doing it is.
As of now, the extra Amiibos I have (which right now are 6 - most of them are to sort of hard to find)...I'm going to set aside for some giveaway. Not sure which one yet. I guess my vision is, getting together a really big community giveaway that is like 10-15 amiibos. Just to celebrate OT3.
In terms of pulling that off, I know I could probably get up to 10 amiibos on my end. If anyone has any extras they would consider giving away, then PM me. In terms of, if we end up rolling my idea into Clarf's, or I end up rolling my idea into his, not sure yet. So we might just have ONE giveaway, or two giveaways. Either way, everyone wins.

Ugh, you should call TRU corporate and complain. Collectable items are supposed to be limited one per person, especially if someone's been waiting outside the store for an hour. Manager should have known that they'd easily sell the Lucarios they have anyway, so there was no reason for them not to enforce a one per customer rule unless they deliberately like pissing people off. I've heard people get giftcards/coupons for stores doing stupid stuff like that if they call the corporate number with their complaint.

I wonder if it might be better if we wait until wave 3 are completely released in the public so people can donate extra wave 3 amiibo for people that didn't have a chance to get it.
I would support giveaway by modbot since it's most neutral way you could go with.
Those look really good. Speaking of custom amiibos. Anyone know the best way to get to the NFC chip without breaking the whole thing? Do we just get like a knife and around the circle part to weaken the glue or what?

For the record, I'm not speaking on behalf of pete_clarf. They still might do their own giveaway. Still working that out. But just for curiosity sake, does everyone agree that, it would be best to wait until After Wave 3 is out? So beginning of March?

I was planning on doing Modbot because it's easier on me due to the fact I've got college & try to do any homework I have on the weekend (got some PR homework done today, wanna do AP Style homework tomorrow & out of the way. I wouldn't mind some kind of creative contest, but I'd want to give it away Sunday morning, then that way, on Monday morning, a winner can be chosen, I can get their address, then I can ship it out later that day so it can get to the winner sooner.
Plus the fact it's random makes it the most fair. My only rule is that if you're from Canada or EU, I'd like to ask the winner for shipping (like, $8?) because of my budget.

Hey man, I'm a massive fan. Had no idea you were using the old thread for help. This community has been amazing. They helped me out when I was really struggling after cancer. We've organized many free giveaways, we've helped each other complete our own collections. We run a google doc that organizes all the members and lets them each other know which ones we are missing, and which ones we have for trade/sale. It's an extremely loving community.
If you ever need any help, just let us know. Doesn't matter who you are, as long as you are apart of the community anyone will get helped.

Just anything from wave 3 really. And maybe I'll somehow enter a portal while driving and find a store in an alternate reality where Little Mac is abundant.

Heads up to anyone in huntsville: our LOD got a couple of calls about Rosslina and asked me about it. Since I'm not working tomorrow, he said he'd watch electronics when we open do there's no funny business (scalping).
Nice, thanks for the heads up. Would it be smart to call our local targets, and speak to the electronics and just kind of...make sure they are going to enforce the 1 per customer? I don't mean pester them, but just ask politely (maybe to kind of remind them).
Or would that be pointless/insulting? I know you folks in retail have it hard, so wouldn't want to make it worse.
Me and my fiance are going to try to get an extra for someone on here. I already got my Rosalina, so I'm going to line up 1 hour early to get it for someone on here that needs it (for free). But I would hate for us to go through what we did with TRU and them selling all 4 of Lucario to ONE scalper.

Yeah, that's right. Once Wave 3 got settled down so we will figure out what we didn't get and what we have. It might allowed us to able to donate extra Amiibo if it's possible.
I'm going to toss up my suggestion. I think you should set up a hard rule for people who already owned that specific amiibo shouldn't apply for amiibo that are up for random? Mainly because I would love to see everyone in this community actually complete their own collection or getting their own favorite characters that they missed out.
Tomorrow is gonna be madness. Almost like Black Friday. With tons of "we do not have they new amiibo" on every retail store in the US.

Great thread title! Though I loved "They Amiibos" as well. I have to say I had no idea we had so many Jersey Amiibros. Represent! Just know that if I run into one of you at Target tomorrow, any alliances are off! 
Perhaps it could be done like how ThisBeJason did it & mention "Hey, I want to to enter, this is who I already have & this is who I need". I was talking with MADGAME & he was gonna throw in a Fox, so I was gonna have it so people could enter for both him & Rosalina if they wanted to, but they're not allowed to win both.

Essentially, he wants to make it like a tournament. So the first step we would have modbot select winners. And by winning randomly, you get an entry into this tournament. Once all the contestants are picked. THEN we go to phase 2. That's the tournament.
Then we will allow people that entered to pick the Amiibo they want to represent them, and we will have the amiibos duke it out on Wii Smash U.

Anybody have a US Luigi they'd like to trade for a US Diddy Kong? I bought two Diddy's thinking he would be a bit rarer in the trade department, but that's not the case heh. Thankfully, I still need some commons as well, so it all works out.
Also looking for a Toon Link, most likely. Didn't see any today. Our Toys-R-Us' are flat-out PITIFUL. One of them only had four amiibo in total, and two were Peach. So if anyone has one for cost + Shipping, lemme know.
