Not all of them were pre-orders only. But a lot were ONLY pre-orders. We talked to someone at our TRU and they checked their computers. I also had someone else checking up in North Cali. The situation was the same. Read on Reddit and various other places (different stories from various states/cities), the same story of TRU either only getting pre-orders (so no extras) or only 4-6 per store.

I'm sure some stores got 50. And you are right, they based it on pre-orders. But TRU having the exclusive to Lucario and having that bad of a supply on release date is a fuckin joke.

Yeah, from what I've heard that the west coast in particular got screwed on the number of Lucarios they were sent. It sucks but sadly doesn't surprise me since I've seen some stupid stuff like 50 Xbox Ones all sent to only one store in the area when all the stores were pretty wiped out from Black Friday and holiday sales, forcing the store to do small transfers to all the stores that were still out of stock.

Ok, so about TRU shipping Lucarios, this is important:

The one I ordered in 12/06/14 is shipping.
The one I ordered in 12/13/14 is shipping

This two happened before the whole cancelation fiasco,

Then my falcon/pit was cancelled, so I got the code to reorder. So I did and ordered all the other they were offering for the discounted price. So also ordered 2 more Lucarios.

The two I ordered in 12/24 /14, along with toon link, bowser and sheik (Lol, I forgot I ordered those, I was so paranoid) are located in stock. They share the order with sonic and megaman.

Also EVERYONE watch Rosalina at target.com it appears its gonna go up again soon along with other extra Wave 3's!
 
Please people, be rational tomorrow morning. If there is a blizzard and the roads are really bad, do not drive to Target. I know Rosalina means a lot to most of you, but don't take the risk of getting into a bad accident. Driving in the snow, and in the early morning is just going to cause many problems.

And if someone gives you a hard time in line (wants to cut line, etc), do the right thing. Act calm and assert your dominance. Have control of the situation, stick with a group of necessary. Strength in numbers is powerful tool when dealing with someone stubborn (without violence). Don't let them push you around, if a punch is thrown or anything physical (I will hope not), call the police. Assault and battery is a criminal charge.

If anything, I expect some unlockable armor sets that will get outclassed quickly by in-game armor. Maybe a cool skin for the Monado or something. A limited edition with a recolored Shulk seems totally possible, but it likely would have been announced for Japan already. Maybe it would get a retail release over there? The idea of a whole Xenoblade line is super appealing to me. It's really unlikely, but I'd totally be into buying all of them even if I'm meh on the Amiibo brand overall.

Anyway, I wouldn't write off pretty much any reissue. It think it's inevitable for the vast majority of these guys. I'm really interested to see what a recolor or different pose reissue will do the price of these guys.

I think they probably have their phones automated so you can't get through to anyone unless the store is actually open, unless you have a direct phone number that bypasses that.
 
You know what'd be hilarious? at 11 o'clock, while the entire country is out in search of Amiibo, preorders for Wave 4 go up...

AHHHH! Thanks for telling me, guys! I just checked and I got the same email.

Rosalina en route from Target and will be here Monday and Lucario shipped from TRU (from the B1G140% off deal no less!). WOOT WOOT.

My only concern is they show up damaged, but the thought of getting to Target in the morning...o_O
 
In stock status just updated on target.com to show available stores for rosalina.
And toon limk and bowser are available on their website.
 
Welp, I've decided not to venture out to Target tomorrow morning. Too many variables that makes it not worth it to me, plus I'm choosing to believe that they'll get restocked at some point. If not, I guess I'll just break down and pay the extra for an import.

Happy to hear people getting shipping confirmations on their Lucarios. It's also another thing that makes me believe that Target will get restocks for stores and/or their site.
 
I was actually playing Smash with a lot of the new Amiibo's today for my YouTube channel. Its funny how quickly they start getting 'good'. :P 8-player chaos can be tough lol.
 
This was under my description in the confirmation:

"Lucario amiibo (TO GET CORRECT RETAIL, ADD ITEM TO CART AND ENTER PROMOTIONAL CODE RECENTLY EMAILED TO YOU)"

Anyone know what it means?
