Thanks, I have sheik, Sonic, Ike there and just wanted to make sure Sheik didn't come in. Really wish Nintendo would just settle on one release date for the waves

Just got to my Target 7:35, opens at 8. Surprised to see nobody here. Got out of my car and am first, I guess. Hopefully can snag Rosalina and Shiek.
This is a pretty big Target in a decently populated area, so I was very surprised to see nobody here. Maybe it's the cold (although it's not horrible, currently 28 degrees) or the fact that around 25% of the people in this area don't shop on Sunday's (although I figured they would laugh at God of it meant Amiibos).

Back now, the Mario guy wasn't so bad but I didn't take a picture. We had like 20 people lined up, me and the boyfriend were 2nd and 3rd in line. Got a Rosalina to keep sealed and one to open. My Target had 3 cases, so 36.

Keep an eye out for online preorders. Future Shop said their should be up soon. Same with EB and more. Amazon Canada is the oly one who put up preorders but they're gone now.
Is it one of these?
I mean I would be scared too if it was since they confirmed amiibos are board pieces in Mario party 10 and this cart was returning...

got to target around 8:01am, no new amiibos.. ask the dude about rosalina, says they got 8 in and they sold immediately... he says he can look up other stores but, you know... and right then another employee brings a few boxes out and it started raining rosalina... they had at least 13-14 more after I bought my two.. they did not get in any ikes or mega mans tho

I don't thimk "on average," I'd wager close to 100%. I didn't see any Sheiks at the first target and that was at opening, and I didn't see any at the second target and that was at like 840. Both had plenty of Rosie's though. And I haven't seen one person comment on there being a lot of Sheiks anywhere. I'm glad I got mine already.
I think at this point it's safe to say Nintendo is doing this on purpose to create demand for these things.

It sounnds like most targets had about 4 sheik and dozens of rosalinas.

I was only awake by happenstance, up until 3:00 AM drinking pretty high ABV beers. I went to use the restroom at 7:40 AM, saw text from a friend to go to Target and made it happen. THERE WAS A FREAKING LINE. And this Target is kind of tucked away. I almost bought two to try and trade for something I don't have (which is, uh, everything) but decided to be the better man.
From my experience this was definitely the case. 44 Rosas vs like...4? Sheik. Though I guess Sheik can come from elsewhere at least.
Don't quote me on this but Bowser seems to be pretty common, i wouldn't worry too much about finding him.

It doesn't make sense if their not selling that many though...look t the Europe waves of them.

The pda said online only for rosalina too. Those characters aren't released in the US yet anyways, so I wouldn't worry about it.
My target didn't even get any sheik's at all.But had plenty of rosalina,bowser and toon link. Seems like she may really end up being one of the rare ones.

Very similar actually!
Went to the Sterling, VA Target. Got there right when it opened so there was already a short line in electronics by the time I got inside. They had a bunch of Rosalina and Bowser, and very few Toon Link and Sheik. I already had Bowser so I needed the others.
Person in front of me got the last Sheik unfortunately. But I ended up getting the last Toon Link and I got a Rosalina of course. So all in all, I'm satisfied. I'll continue trying to hunt down Sheik.

the guy at my target straight up told me that ppl were waiting and got all the sheiks, it seems to be the low print run of this wave honestly... better grab her fast if you want her..
as they brought out more boxes none of them had any shieks.

Yes, most had 10x the amount. They're the only carrier, that should be expected.

If I remember right, he was friends with a scalper and never actually bought the stock.
His friend is SOL though unless the box was for retail.
I would not since some shipments got delayed.

the one I was at was out when I showed up they said thre was a line and they sold 8 of them instantly and then suddenly someone came from the back w/ more amiibo boxes and it started raining rosalinas.. I had my pick of the litter..

Had to go to 2 Targets, but found one at the 2nd. Both were dead. There may have been a line at the 2nd one but they were gone by the time I got there around 8:45. Grabbed the last one on the shelf.
Also met 2 people who exemplify why I hate going to these stores. I was very nice to the guy helping me, trying to see if they had stock or what was up. As I'm standing there this guy comes in, gray sweatpants and hoodie, kinda bigger build. I guess up front they told him they weren't selling until the 3rd which was their release date. He grabs an ad, runs back to electronics anyways, and then proceeds to complain about it. I talked to the guy working there for a minute about how it's weird and he guesses smaller volume stores might be the reason why- all while this sweatpants guy has a mini meltdown away from us in electronics. So I figure I'd go with my plan, thank the guy for his help and just go to the next store. This guy gets on his phone, very loudly complaining to someone at the OTHER store since they're selling them, the manager (thinking he's talking to her when he asks if they sell the figure there) tries telling him again that they won't be selling them until tomorrow, the guy straight up complains again to her about it, then proceeds to get back on his phone and says "Sorry this very rude store manager was yelling at me." Then continues to ask them over and over why this store isn't selling them, but the other store is. At that point I'm pretty sure he stopped so he could complain some more to the manager there. It took a lot in me to not turn around or at the very least loudly call the guy a jackass.
Then I'm out the door shaking my head about this guy, when I see another guy walking in with a Mario hat on. I think "Oh he's probably looking too. I'll save this guy the trouble." As he approaches I go "Hey man, if you're looking for the amiibo they're not selling them until tomorrow." "WHAT?!? WHY?!?!" "Because it's a low volume store. That's their release date on them." He scoffs at my advice, walks in anyways. All I can think of driving away is "Holy shit, please don't let me have to deal with more of these guys and let me find one at the next store."
Good luck everyone...hope the peace is kept, and the asshats get nothing.

So it seems like Rosalina will not be as rare as people were making it out to be. Almost everyone who went this morning seems to have gotten one or two. Good to hear!
Now if only Lucario and Shulk were in the same situation...

Try calling first and see if someone picks up
You could call the specific store. I find it hard to imagine that the website is so dynamic to be up to date of the current inventory, unless they didn't receive any at all for said store.

Got 2 rosalinas and 1 sheik/toon link. Line was pretty civil with only one shady scalper type that snuck through the line. Thankfully my fiancee was with me to get the extra.

We got to Target (in Beaumont, TX) like 30 mins early, and there was one couple in line and several people sitting in cars. Another couple got out of their car when we got there and got in line, then we did (so we were the 3rd couple in line) and another one ended up behind us. By the time the store opened, there were about 5 couples there (including me and my bf), a kid with his parents, and like 4 people on their own. The girl in front of us had apparently talked to them last night and said they had 8 in stock.
People started speeding up when we got inside- I wasn't about to run, but we still ended up being the 4th couple in line. I don't know if they had a one per person rule or not because everyone in front of us only tried to buy one, but they had them behind the counter, so I assume they did. My Target must have gotten several Sheiks because the people in front us us were getting her and we still managed to get one (and I think there were still some there).
So happy to get my Rosalina! I owe my boyfriend a lot for getting up this morning- he was gonna go without me to get one even though he wasn't feeling good because he knew how much I wanted one. I'm glad I went with him in the end.

The lady was like "Yall are here early for some medicine and water" and my boyfriend was like "actually, we came for these silly figures." Like all the Target employees around there came up and were like "Oh can we see? We've been curious what everyone was lining up for!" So, I pulled out my Rosalina and they all passed it around and looked at it. One lady asked me if it was Link (lol) and another lady looked at the back and was like "Oh, so it's like a game?" I told her it worked with some games on wii u and 3DS to which she replied "Whoa, they have a wii u?"

it certainly sounds like Sheik will be hard to find. If it isn't trouble for you, I'm sure another gaffer would appreciate you buying the spare so they don't have to worry about missing out on it or paying scalpers prices.

Ugh, went to a Target and they only had six Rosalinas. I booked it to the Target across the border in North Dakota, forgetting that stores don't open till noon there. Went back to the one back in Minnesota to see what was left and only got a Boozer. I really need to get some sleep before work, so I'm not even gonna bother going back to the other Target at noon. Guess it's back to Amazon.de for me.
