right? how can they just say that and not follow up with any details. and why just Marth? they didnt say anything about Villager. The good thing is it brought down eBay and CL prices if you cave and have to do that. It makes me think they are going to bundle him with that STEAM game or whatever.

Also give me my Wave 4 preorder opportunity NOA! It felt so nice getting new figures the past couple days. It had been a while.

They're only reprinting marth because he has a use in an upcoming game. Maybe they'll do another villager with a new animal crossing, but this is clear that they aren't reprinting anyone else.
 
I submitted a mildly-pissed support ticket on the TRU website saying that this will be my 4th unfulfilled preorder if it gets canceled. That's not even counting the backup eBay order that's in limbo. Never buying from their website again! :D

Uhh my gamestop orders for shulk and Ike say "Closed". I have them on In-store pickup and haven't gotten any emails or calls about them arriving yet. Anybody else have experience with gamestop in store pick up? Should I call them? When is gamestop supposed to be releasing them anyways?
Didn't someone said that they'd be cancelling some in-store pick up orders if they hadn't been paid for or something? I can't remember.
 
I didn't get any cancel email about my Lucario from ToysRus yet, after all that shit they gave me for Captain Falcon and Pit I'm actually a little surprised that they haven't.

This is only getting worse instead of better. I can't wait to see how much of a circus wave 4 is.

I also sent a pissy message over eBay to TRU, and they said lucario orders will ship this week. If it doesn't, I'm done with them forever.
 
So yeah, I'm pretty much sick today and I'm sure it was because I spent 3 hours in the cold yesterday waiting for Rosalina (and Sheik and Toon Link of course). I guess it was worth it, especially since it seems Rosie was a one time deal. Looks like my Lucario shipped too, and I have Metaknight pre-ordered at Best Buy and the rest pre-ordered at Gamestop (including Shulk). I feel extremely lucky that things are working out for me and it would seem I am going to finish Wave 3 without much issue, but I'm starting to sour on the whole thing honestly. It should never have been this hard to collect these things, and it boggles my mind why Nintendo is so adamant to ignore peoples willingness to buy them. At the same time I suspect that if scalpers were taken out of the equation, there would probably be plenty of these to meet demand from collectors as it is.

Also, I wanted to say that I am going to end up with an extra Sheik which I will keep hold of for trade later. I have a feeling Wave 4 is going to be the hardest on me, and quite frankly I am losing my drive to collect these at retail cost. I may give in to scalpers in the future, just to avoid the headache of it all. I hate saying it, or even thinking it, but I want a full set.

Don't. Just import or trade on here. Feeding the beast won't help anyone, except the scalpers (who we're trying to defeat).
 
Took the plunge and made my first import on Amazon.de for Lucario and Wii Fit Trainer. That leaves Marth, Meta-Knight, and Villager (lol) for the first three waves!
 
Yeah, lets not give in to scalpers. Let them sit and burn on their pile of amiibos for eternity.

Still hoping for Nintendo to flood the market, oh I want to see their faces when everything they own becomes worthless.

It was the 2 most important ones from wave 3 wavefor me too, DDD and shulk :( pls GameStop don't bullshit meme. Already salty as it is that I couldn't get Rosa don't take my precious DDD and shulk from me
 
I haven't been following this amiibo stuff but I saw that people in the snowed in Chicago thread said they were braving the blizzard to pick them up. On the day after here in Chicago I just walked in to my Target and there's 3 Rosalinas. Should I buy them?

It always says this when the order is being processed prior to ship to store.
You won't get any notification that's going to the store just when it gets there.
This is how it's always been. But be happy that means its going there just make sure you paid off and your set...
 
Used brick checker and found 4 stores in the area with some Rosalinas. Called and they will hold them no problem for the rest of the day. If anyone is looking still looking try that. Code 207-00-5021 in this search http://brickseek.com/target-inventory-checker

One store had 1 and one store has 17 so its a real shit show.

Interesting. It says the store I went to has 1, but they told me yesterday that they did NOT. Maybe they are holding it for an employee or someone returned one. The store I did eventually get Rosalina at is out of stock. There's still a store in town with 12 of them, apparently.
 
My Ike/MegaMan order closed as well, so I'm guessing they just closed out all ship to store preorders or something. This is bullshit, but I'll let you know what I hear from Customer Service

I didn't even know you could go in and pay in store until my boyfriend mentioned paying for it this weekend. The only other time I've ordered online for in store pick up, it went fine, so I assumed this would be the same but alas. :(

I haven't been following this amiibo stuff but I saw that people in the snowed in Chicago thread said they were braving the blizzard to pick them up. On the day after here in Chicago I just walked in to my Target and there's 3 Rosalinas. Should I buy them?

Just used Brickseek, and apparently a Target 50 miles from me has a Villager, Sheik, and Little Mac... does anyone know if Target does a store-to-store transfer? Or am I gonna need to drive out there?

My Ike/MegaMan order closed as well, so I'm guessing they just closed out all ship to store preorders or something. This is bullshit, but I'll let you know what I hear from Customer Service

Here's what he said to me:
"I deeply apologize for the situation, however we cannot view or modify in-store pick up orders via online customer service. If you would like to get information or modify your PickUp@Store reservation, please contact the store that is holding the game. If you need the address, phone number or operation hours for a local store, please feel free to use the Store Locator option on our web page at www.gamestop.com/StoreLocator.aspx . They should be able to provide any information you may need, also keep in mind that PickUp@Store is absolutely FREE to use. The only payment you'll make is for the game when you pick it up at your GameStop store."

I pressed for more info. Surely, I'm not the FIRST ONE EVER to ask about a ship-to-store order. He didn't need my order specifically to know why it might be closed, right...?
"The status Closed means your order has been completed, so I would recommend you to check this with the store directly."

I asked if the system thought I had picked them up, and he said:
"Probably, however I cannot confirm this since the order information its in the store. Please feel free to call them, I am sorry, I wish I could give you more information."

Guess I'll be calling the store when it opens it 2.5 hrs...

That would be worth the drive! Not sure about store-to-store transfers. I would definitely call them first. Seems hard to believe that they'd have all three.

Gamestop has yet to fail me on pre-orders and have yet to pull the BS other stores have with canceling orders as the live and die off there pre-orders.
 
Has anyone heard anything about TRU stores getting restocked with lucario? Should I be calling every morning, or just give up? Employees claim they don't know what comes in w/ shipment ahead of time. They just kinda open boxes and put stuff out.

Oh man, sorry to hear about all the Lucario pre-order delays and possible cancellations. I was nervous but just got my shipping confirmation. What the hell, how can there not be enough for online orders after stores got so few?

They did that with my Pit too! They told me that he could be cancelled, so I just went ahead and cancelled the order since I had already found one. An hour later, he had shipped and they charged me twice! One charge went through and the other one has been in "pending" since Thursday. I think it will eventually go away, but it has been four days.

Don't GS "pick up at store" pre-orders basically become in store pre-orders 24 hours after the order was originally made? I went and paid off my Amiibos last week, and they all showed in there system just as anything I'd get from that store specifically would. I just think this is a matter of the online folks passing the buck to the actual stores.
 
FWIW, north jersey bergen county Targets should have plenty of rosalinas in stock due to the snowstorm and the blue laws having stores closed down yesterday.

Weather's still very yucky up here.

Hackensack one still has 46 in stock according to Brickseek.

yea i have had 18 of my amiibos from pre-ordered at gamestop including rare ones like villager, pit, little mac, and captain falcon all arrived with no issues at all though i did pre-order them in store instea dof using the website but like i said they have been good to me.

I worked at best buy for a while and when we would show one in our systems it could be on the floor or it could be behind something in the store. Sometimes people could grab a thing and leave it somewhere else in the store so we had to account for that item being sold or just gone. Our computer would not allow in store pickup unless there was a few if I am not mistaken.

I even ordered something online while I worked there and went in to find that the order was not going to work out. The item I ordered was near the doors and no one thought to get it there and pack it for pickup so they no picked it even though there was 3 in store.
