The big question is, will this be like the TRU launch or Target launch? I have little faith that Best Buy will be able to accommodate all the crazy Amiibo collectors. My local Best Buy seemed clueless the last time I was there to pick up Toon Link.

Absolutely. I am extremely nervous about this launch. Someone on Reddit who worked at Best Buy said that most stores were getting 5 or 10. My only hope is that there will be a limit. Hopefully my brother or gf is off on launch day and they can grab one for me because I won't have a chance in hell of picking one up during the week.
Worse case I will have to use my spare Little Mac as trade bait even though I'm trying to save him for the holy trinity.

This is the first time that I've seen this many in one spot before so, maybe they'll end up being less difficult to find.
Apparently our local Best Buy thought Sheik was a TRU exclusive, hah. Our TRU isn't much better either. When I called our TRU the other day to ask about the new amiibo coming in (Bowser, Toon Link, Sheik), they had no idea what I was talking about.

In Canada there will be no in store stock for him. All allocation was taken by online preorders. The only ones making it to stores are the ones that people placed for in store pick up at Future Shop and Best Buy.
No non-preorder stock. He will not have a presence on store shelves.

I sure was. I was at the Target in Lower Nazareth/Easton.
Oh snap. Did they happen to have Toon Link as well? I have a Sheik coming in from Wal-mart but if I get Sheik + 2 others from TRU I'll just return the Wal-mart one.
And yeah, Easton is where I grew up! I live down near Philly during the week but usually come back to Easton for the weekends. Were you at the Easton Target's opening last Sunday for Rosalina? That's where I got mine.

EDIT: There was no Toon link at that TRU today. I do have an extra though if you're unable to find one.

Actually, those are accidental orders. When all the hype of low stock flooded the tread (actually, it never left), I placed multiple orders and then forgot I placed them. When the time came, I was getting shipping confirmations for amiibo I already had. I guess I'll keep them around for the time being but may sell them.

Man, im so tense about this release stuff this week. I wish i didnt have to make a grand plan in the hopes of getting a few plastic figures, but such it is.

A word of advice: Make sure you have all the shelves placed and the display mounted to the wall BEFORE you install the door. That glass door is significantly heavier than the cabinet and will bring the whole thing down.
