Mine's really cool about that they don't put stickers on anything that's preordered just stuff that goes on the shelf. Prolly because all of my GS has collector's that work there though so this is YMMV.

Like I said. To discourage scalpers. Say they have a shipment of 1000 and there's 500 scalpers. That's already half. What if they make a new account, use a family member's address, or alternate credit cards. Still will end up going to scalpers. So to truly beat the scalpers, you need to make it so it'd be a somewhat of a turnoff for them.

ugh literally all gamestops within a 5 mile radius opened up their shulk deliveries except the one gamestop that i go to cause its only like 3 blocks away

Just called 7 stores. All had them in stock, but only for those who pre-ordered. I was told the ones that don't get picked up would go on shelves Saturday morning, first come first served. But I find it pretty unlikely anyone who took the time to pre-order a Shulk amiibo wouldn't bother picking it up.
Anyone else in the UK have any pre-orders with Argos?
They initially took the money from my credit card back in January and then refunded me. But my order status doesn't seem to indicate that it's been cancelled:

Not sure that inventory tracker is working properly. I find it hard to believe no stores within 100 miles don't have them yet. I am on the west coast though, so maybe it's true.

I would've tried ordering had I seen the post --- not entirely sure why since I ordered a Shulk from Japan after coming to the conclusion I wouldn't find him --- but I was on the phone with Best Buy trying and not getting a price adjustment for the Yoshi figure I ordered last week. They wouldn't price adjust since I partially paid with a gift card? What kind of bologna is that?
It's so shitty that they're the cheapest for these things (not counting sale prices) but you can't trust ordering from them because they send in cheap plastic mailers instead of having the decency to box stuff up so it arrives to you in the same condition you'd expect to find at the store. I sent them an email complaining at least...
I'm a little annoyed the figure arrived with its box dinged even though I'm 95% planning on opening my figs up at some point. I *was* going for a boxed collection of the NA figures but I got in the game late, and after cobbling up 18 or so of the figs decided to check the secondary market for Villager, Marth, a couple others, and figuring I probably wouldn't be able to find at least one of the three excluisves I didn't have, tallied it'd cost me hundreds of dollars extra trying to get them in NA packaging, and that I'd just probably just open them up because of it and order imports to fill in the holes. That was a long sentence, I know
Please excuse my ramblings.

I tried to get a Little Mac amiibo the day before "launch" at Target. The POS said it was not available for sale yet at the time.
How did you hear that Target started selling Majora's Mask New 3DS early?
I heard nothing my friend came to show it too me today...
I was disheartened but I'll take pics later if I see him again before Friday.
Pics please, not saying I don't believe - but that would solve this really quickly.

Haha no not you buddy, I just had 4 bad issues with Mac. Gf's mom had one in hand but they said they couldnt sell it to her before launch and then they sold it, My GS preorder was sold, Gamestop.com cancelled it on me twice.... Mac is elusive for me lmao

Hey guys, I'm just posting this again. I'm sorry but I'm really tryign to get find someone to buy a Shulk from for my kid.
If anyone has an extra Shulk they'd like to sell to this poor GAFer, I would really, really appreciate it. I have a couple of extra Amiibos as trade but I'd rather be able to buy one at retail if someone would be so kind.
My kid is dying for a SHulk and I missed the preorders. (shame on me)

Unfortunately this just means the store received their pre-order shipment. No Gamestop in my city has any extra for sale. Just stating the obvious in case anyone gets their hopes up.

How do you know they were sold? If they on the shelves they probably just put them in the back. Target is insanely strict about street dates, so if they really did sell them they can get in serious trouble if you complain.
I went into the Gamestop near work today and asked if they had any of the new Amiibo in stock. They had them all, but only for preorders. She also said that their DM told them they wouldn't get any ever again that weren't for preorders, which I don't believe -- I think she was just trying to get me to preorder the Super Mario Bros wave.
She did take my name and tell me she would call me as soon as Ness and Pac Man are up for preorder, which is nice. I want to say I will stop after those two, but what if they make Zero Suit Samus, Olimar, and Dr. Mario? Of course I will want them.

Picked up my Shulk at Gamestop over lunch. The employee there took a call checking to see if there were any extras, and even before he picked up the the phone he had this *not this shit again* look on his face. Kinda felt bad.

Whelp, that certainly is a new 3DS Majora's - I hope they didn't break street date, 'cause that could be really bad for them :/ But grats to whoever got one if they did! I'm really hoping that I get a shipment confirmation soon from GS for mine.
Well they did open up online orders for a small window earlier :/ But yeah, I think you're absolutely correct that there will not be any extra in store today.

Most of ours are in the box still but we have been debating opening them all as of late. If we do I think this'll be what we end up doing, hahaha.

Just called my local gamestop because I saw they had them in the stock tracker. Only enough stock for preorders and they say they wont be getting anymore. Even their normal policy of being available to anyone after 48 hours isnt being applied. Not giving up though, I will keep trying!
