Yep. My only issue with the stands, period, is the colors. Yes, some of them have to be supported to maintain their pose. Why draw extra attention to it??

I think the clear stands look fine.

I keep imagining that Nintendo, with some weird backwards thinking, colored them to draw attention away from the fact that those figures needed the stands.
 
Man, I'm at this weird middle ground between only intending to get the amiibo for the characters I personally care about and having that number be a large enough majority of the whole Smash roster that it feels like a waste not to just get them all...

I've only skipped Villager, Wii Fit Trainer, and Marth from wave 1, Little Mac from wave 2, and Ike, Lucario, Sheik, and Shulk from wave 3. What's eight more amiibo?!

Anyone else in a similar position?
 
Had a shitty night at work, the LP guy got sent to the hospital by a thief. He was a cool guy too. He ended up coming back later at night but good god. I called the police and asked them to come, but they said no even though the LP guy saw the thief steal two boxes of chocolates and the LP 100% knew that he was a violent druggie.

Basically once he asked him to give back our crap, he fought immediately and I had to call 911 again lol.

Need more Amiibos...:p
 
How frustrating. Just went to check status on my Amiibo preorders/orders and discovered that my King Dedede order from Argos has been cancelled with no email or phone notification.

Any idea if there's anywhere in the UK/Europe with him in stock, as he's now the only figure I don't have or have a secure preorder for?

Yup.

I was thinking I was going alright, but then I realised from all the unannounced ones I want all but Doctor Mario, so why not just grab the few I've skipped up until now and grab em all?

List was Mario, Peach, Donkey Kong, Villager, Wii Fit Trainer, Luigi, Diddy Kong, Sonic, Wario and Pac Man.

I've since grabbed a Villager and WFT from Germany and I'll be grabbing the rest as I see them :P

You suck for skipping Shulk

Haha, nice. Glad I'm not alone in that feeling.

And yeah, I'm actually regretting not pre-ordering Shulk, so rest assured - the joke's on me. :P I'm not exactly a huge Xenoblade or Shulk fan, but I like him enough, he and the Monado have cool designs, and he's fun to use in Smash. I'm keeping an eye on the GameStop.com product page to see if he goes back up for sale at any point. I still think they'll restock him for the release of Xenoblade Chronicles 3D...
 
Only thing that sucks about ordering online and or being rushed at the launch of some of these things is checking the quality of the individual Amiibo. I know I've spent ten minutes looking at some of the commons before picking one. Found a Donkey Kong with a weird clear glob (glue?) near his left armpit at Target yesterday.

Hoping I can pick up a good looking Mega Man and Ike tomorrow. Not sure who I'll get for my third with the deal.

I wish BB would have split the 3B up evenly. Sonic is the only one releasing on 2/13 from them. Dedede, Ike, Mega Man, and Meta Knight are all on the 20th. It is lame knowing TRU will be selling all on the 13th. Friday the 13th!!! Ominous Amiibo Day.

Again I really like the pace of the thread. I can read it all and most are informative and entertaining! Thanks Amiibros

WHY DID I SEE THIS NOW. Real talk, are we going to see Shulk for Villager straight up as a fair trade? I know that Villager has the longevity behind him, but I don't see Shulk ever dropping too much, either. The main thing bringing imbalance is Villager's rarity all over. Still seems like a slightly skewed, but still relatively good deal to me. Maybe with $10 on the Shulk side?

I though it was kind of agreed that trades on here are one for one. Like someone said if you trade 2 Amiibo for one then it's just another way of scalping. It's charging 26 bucks for an Amiibo. so adding 10 bucks is the same as just asking for 22.99. Not to mention if the person is sending an Amiibo they are having to stack 4 to 8 bucks on for shipping. I am not saying there is anything wrong with it but maybe take it to to Buy Trade Sell thread since it's not the normal community trade or selling for MSRP and actual shipping and handling fees. I know trading a Yoshi for a Marth isn't equal on the secondary market but they are exactly equal as far as cost. So maybe just find a one for one deal you are comfortable with. Just my Amiibro opinion.

Don't worry, we'll still get plenty Mario, Yoshi, Luigi, and Peach Amiibo. The dock issues, for whatever reason, only seem to affect certain Amiibo.
 
Just got a notification email from Best Buy saying my Metaknight preorder would be released/shipped 2/20/2015. Was starting to get nervous not having heard anything yet. Also got a call from Gamestop saying my Shulk is in, that covers all 4 of the retailer exclusive ones now. Big relief on my side.
 
Just need Meta Knight and Dedede and I'll be finished with Wave 3. Then, I just need to find someone that won't gouge me on a Villager :(

Man I wish I was able to order a second Shulk...

Not really no. Villager is far rarer at this point, especially US villager which easily brings in over $100 on ebay. As more people get Shulks and put them on ebay, the value will drop from where it is at even further. Maybe in 3 months they will be the same but not now. Sure if you are talking about the actual worth of the two figures sure, but perceived value is far more skewed into Villager's favor at the moment. It would be a bad value trade. Unless you don't care about that, then sure, do it.

I'm not suggesting anybody do anything on here, by the way, I'm just talking real world values. People should trade how they like.
 
Technically this is Amiibo related - has anyone checked out Ace Combat Whatever Legacy+? I've got it on hold with my New 3DS to pick up tomorrow largely because of Amiibo support but I have never really played an Ace Combat game other than a demo on the PS1 years ago. Is it any good?

Target and BB are both guilty of this. Advertising for an exclusive amiibo they don't really have. Target even made an alteration to the website for Rosalina, after they sold out. Ridiculous.
 
I picked up my Shulk the other day, by far my favorite Amiibo yet. Don't let Pit know!

Now I need to keep searching for Captain Falcon..... -Sigh- I wish B&H would had honored my backorder for him.
 
I just got an email from Best Buy that my pre-ordered Meta Knight amiibo release date has changed to 2/20/2015, but no confirmation that it has shipped yet.

So damn lame, I agree. Why even promote the figure at all if you have no intention of carrying it in store? Smart move.
