Amiibo Thread 3 | Where release dates are made up and preorders don't matter!

Charleston SC TRU. All out at of 1019. Shit
guy stopped me on way out and said one guy grabbed all the ones that were displayed. Apparently there were a lot of preorders but yeah. Guy told me he asked the CS where they were and they just pointed to a guy walking out. They had 16 Mega Mans too. I assume most were preorders but not sure. So disappointed I went out in the cold for that. I really wanted to help some Amiibros out since I was off today. Good luck guys.

Normally I'd try to get down to TRU to get the new Amiibo's as soon as they're available, but I have Ike, Dedede, Mega Man, and Sonic pre-ordered at GameStop and fully paid off. It's worth the wait to avoid the stress a lot of you are putting yourselves through this morning. I wish you all the best of luck though.
Oh so my target had 3 of the Majoras mask 3ds. Like I said there were like 4 guys there since 6 am.
A new guy showed up 10 min to opening. As soon as doors opened he dashed to electronics. He got there and grabbed TWO MM 3ds'. Only one guy in line before him had the other one.
I spoke up and was like this is complete bullshit as the electronics guy was about to sell the two to this douche. I knew I wasn't getting one at that point but I vouched for the other guys in line. The douche was like well I ran here fastest so I should get them. Finally when threats of calling the manager started, he said he'd give up one but he's definitely keeping the other.
I said nope, call the manager, these other guys deserve it. FINALLY the manager agreed with us and took the other MM 3DS and distributed as needed. The douche stomped away all upset.
So I walked out empty handed but at least I helped those guys who deserved it more get their 3DS'.
Oh and one of the nice guys was into amiibo and didn't get sheik, so I had an extra I told him I would sell to him for retail this weekend

Went to TRU shortly before opening, there was already a line and the people there were already there for at least 45 minutes or so before me. They had handed out tickets for any of the new amiibo before I got there. Supposedly they got in 1 Ike (preorder only), and 7 Mega Man, 2 Dedede, and 2 Sonic.
Oh well, I was only going for one Sonic anyway since it's the only one I couldn't get a preorder for. Just sucks how this is the only TRU for about 50 miles. And speaking of that, it's a similar situation for Best Buy, only one around for the same amount of miles. It sounds like they only got 3 Meta Knights in for the 20th and they were only for preorders.

Well that was a collossal waste of time. I was third in line outside of TRU for a good 45 minutes in windy single digit temps only to get inside and have them be out of Mega Man and Dedede (no Ike or Sonic at all), even with a one-per-customer rule. Bullshit.
Add this to my Target fail this morning -- the store didn't get any Majora's Mask systems -- and today is off to a banner start.

Went to Walmart a few minutes ago, got their last Toon Link amiibo and a N3DS. Got the last black 3DS too, so now I'm afraid I've used up all my luck for this year already...

My Target (Summerville SC) said they had 7 MM 3DSXLs and people were here at 5am for them. Don't feel bad for sleeping through my 7 am alarm ha.would have been worthless. But they said they didn't get any of the new Amiibos. They have pegs for them

Running helps no one, so I hope no one tries it. CH4OS had an interesting story about just that, at Target. Rational management won't let it fly, thankfully.

A million shout outs to Mercutio for making this a reality. Rosalina was my most wanted out of wave 3, and I am infinitely appreciative that he was willing to get this one to me. Yes!
Now the collection stands at Zelda, Link, Sheik, Samus, Marth, Toon Link, and Rosalina. Here's hoping to adding more to it soon, at the very least Mega Man and Sonic.

One guy at the Target I went to said he got there at 5 am. I was like
, it's 1 degree out here man. Funny that they put them up on Target a few hours later, still up by the way. Amiibo wise, I missed out on D3, the one I really wanted, but I'm sure he'll go up for online orders again

No Ikes outside of preorders at my TRU, but after waiting for 2 hours in the bitter Florida chill, I was able to get Sonic, Dedede, and Mega Man!!
