I saw people freaking out about this, and I'm excited for them. But then I immediately remembered that it's available on mobile on both iOS and Android. Which also has crossplay. Which means everyone can have it right now.
But, I guess it's just people having it on their preferred platform which happens to be the Switch.

The game itself has no native voice chat and most people just use discord. Hell, it actually supports the Nintendo phone app for voice chat and that's more than mobile users have.

Mobile users can still use discord on their phone while playing. I've don't that once or twice.
If you notice my comment covered your weak counter. There is NO GOOD NATIVE(MEANING ON THE CONSOLE AUTOMATICALLY FOR ANY GAME DEV) solution for voice chat on the Switch.

my son insisted I play with him the day it came out and I swear every single game it would start, one person would stand still at spawn and within 10 seconds a meeting is called and they are making accusations .. it was so dumb we just voted the person who called the meeting and when they were tossed we noticed they even voted for themselves.. this happened seriously.. every single game we got in.

What weak counter? The game itself doesn't have built in voice chat on any platform it's on. Whenever you play Among us, you have to have an external application for voice chat. Doesn't matter if it's discord, steam chat or the Nintendo app.
