Also they came to steal crypto, which is easier to just hack an account than try to steal in person.
The police are also not even on her property and her gate is sealed shut because clearly they wouldn't want access to the crime scene. She saw some police presence near her house, recorded a very brief video so that you can't see what is actually happening and then came up with some nonsensical story.
