Analyst picks winners at E3

I think analysts are high balling the Sony figures because of the earnings reports. Sony really can't afford to lose a lot of money... and the PS3 is hardly nimble. That beast is big and has a shit load of ports on it. To me, I would think that MS certainly has the manufacturing price advantage this time around.

Nah, I think analysts are just doing the same thing they did with the PS2 and PSP: They're looking at it from a sane Western Company point of view where you don't sell things at a huge loss betting the future of your entire company on one product.

Sony is awesome because they repeadiately take huge losses to sell high-tech stuff at dirt cheap prices for their system launches. This is fantastic for the consumer since we get a system that should be $500-1000 for $300. It 'can' be bad for the company if the product doesn't take off, but unless you have stocks in Sony you really shouldn't care whether the company has huge losses for a few years.

Don't forget that the PSP will lauch for $400. Analysts are idiots. Both systems will lauch at $300.

I think BluRay will make the PS3 at least $50 more expensive than 360.

Has anyone bought a card reader here lately? They aren't very expensive.

I'm pretty sure I saw a 15-1 card reader for $12 on Fat Wallet yesterday. Not sure why Sony wanted all of those ports when they could just sell an after-market card reader... plugs right into the usb port.
