I dont understand the crash hype honestly. If it happens, theres no way in hell itll be developed by nd, and we already had crash games that werent made by nd in the ps2 era and they were all meh.

Theres no way we will get a crash thats as good as the last ratchet. If we get it at all, itll 99% be half assed and mediocre, or a super low budget kickstarter game, and nothing more than that

How would you know? If it's done by a passionate developer, it can turn out good.

Ratchet and Clank was done by IG's North Coralina studio and the game is great. Even a satellite/external studio from one of Sony's studios could do a great job as long as the talent is there. Remember North Coralina studio are the same folks who pushed out FFA and A41.

Definitely will need passion though and good direction.
 
If they started work on GoW4 in 2014, when they moved to their new studio, around August of that year, then I guess showing atleast a teaser at E3 would be reasonable. They can dive into gameplay later. Just confirm it and the Norse mythology and I'll be happy knowing we're getting something of the sort.
 
My hype has been kinda soured since Nintendo's basing their entire showing on a single Zelda game. I'm still having trouble wrapping my head around that. How do you go to the biggest video game expo of the year with ONE GAME?

I'm sure MS and Sony will have some good stuff. Probably more of Horizon from Sony. Maybe something from Recore from MS. Hopefully Crash. But most of my hype for E3 this year was for finally seeing what the NX is, and now that's not happening, so I'm just left super disappointed.

Go to E3 and talk about a game that has already been confirmed to be coming on a sony stage(not to mention leaks). Yeah IDK about that.
 
For the Xbox conference (from another thread):

Open big with Gears, Battlefield, Forza Horizon 3, other blockbusters, then do some OS stuff, indies, some epic BC bombas mid-conference as things start to slow down, then new IPs for 2017-18, and finally reveal a new more powerful Xbox alongside a slim Xbox One. Sexy designs, newer controller, say everything shown at the event was running on Xbox One so people need not worry they were bullshitted, then show either Gears 4 on the new Xbox or a new IP built for the new Xbox, then close with another blockbuster.

Sony:

Modern Warfare footage, GT Sport, PS4K, Horizon and new IPs. Uncharted 4 DLC, TLOU 2 teaser.

Red Dead wherever.

Ratchet PS4 was a collaboration between the East and West coast studios but a majority of it was handled by the NC studio.

For example, I have to look at Sly 4. The team behind it were such huge fans of the franchise that they wanted to carry that legacy and not screw up what Sucker Punch had established. And in the end, it turned out being a fine game all around.
 
Dates for fall games while showing them off and hopefully some answers on the Microsoft/Sony hardware stuff, and I'll be happy!

I'm most excited to see Titanfall 2 and Horizon: Zero Dawn. And more Ni No Kuni 2 would be awesome.
 
I'm starting to get excited for E3!

I think there are a lot of unknowns going into this year.



For Xbox I am hoping for Sunset Overdrive 2 (hopefully), and maybe announcements for Below (been waiting forever!!!) and Inside releasing (would love to have them as "out today" announcements).
I am interested to see more of Recore, BF1, Sea of Thieves, and Scalebound.
Also I hope to see a slim with $299 as permanent price going forward, and some big games announced for BC.


For Nintendo, zelda is all I want to see, so not having a direct and just zelda treehouse is actually fine with me.
Would be cool to finally see NX, but if they are not ready then they are not ready.


For Sony I am interested to see more of TLG and Horizon. I am also curious to see if they will finally let sucker punch try out with a new IP (not that infamous is bad). Also, I am sure that there will be plenty of cool indy games to see at their conference.
Personally I am not too excited about PSneo, but will keep an open mind, and see if it can actually deliver a noticeable difference besides just better IQ & framerate.
Will also be interesting to see how developers handle it.
 
I usually request off work to watch Nintendo's E3 event the Tuesday of E3....but this year the hype is dead. Though we get Zelda. I'd be satisfied with just a Trailer I can catch whenever they decide to upload it and that's it. There's no hype for any Nintendo breaking news.

Since it wouldn't come out for at least 2 and a half years from this E3 I hope not. They should wait until it's only around a year away to announce it.
 
Even though I'm not really a Nintendo fan I was interested in what they would show in this year's E3, dissapointed that they're doing so little with it.

This will either be a great presentation or a shit presentation. Sony has a terrific upcoming lineup, yet with NEO and PSVR in the picture, they might get pushed aside. NEO's messaging will be key to avoiding pissing people off. There will be at least 1 megaton probably, but it may not be as big as Sony thinks it is.
 
Persona 5 2016. Still clinging onto that hope. That would make E3 for me, I literally don't need anything else.

Maybe a KH3 confirmed 2017 release would be nice.
 
Mostly Persona 5, Crash and Final Fantasy for me. Looking forward to Sony's press.

I like Nintendo but it's a continuous train of disappointment after 2010, and this time it's worse than ever. I'm just not interested in Zelda atm.

In terms of games, only thing im excited for is a new, proper star wars game anouncement and more info on mass effect. So i guess im only looking forward to the ea conference this year, which is strange to say, its like im willingly setting myself up for dissappointment.

Actual video games aside, nx not being there is a bummer, and we pretty much know what neo is at this point, i also dont care about vr at all.

So yea, i think this e3 is the one im the least hyped for in a long time. I think itll be very underwhelming.
 
I mainly get hyped for E3 for the Nintendo stuff, but I also want to go into Zelda knowing as little as possible... So there is little hype here. :(

And if crash is returning then that will be my megaton!

But seriously Sony surely has to show what its first party studios are up to...Bend...Santa Monica...sucker punch is hiring again, I think at least one project from these guys will be announced.

Also hoping for shadow of mordor 2 - with a developed nemesis system
 
I guess I'm most excited for Microsoft's cause of Rare, Scalebound and the potential dream of Phantom Dust returning.

Nintendo is just Zelda (hopefully gud) and Sony's is usually boring, but I am hyped as fuck for Horizon so I will be tuning in.

Because of the NX no show, I have close to zero hype for E3 this year now. As a big Zelda fan, I would usually be excited by the prospect of finding out more, but nowadays I like my experience to be as unspoilt as possible. I'll likely watch the new reveal trailer but no treehouse stuff.

After last year's showing from Sony, I struggle to see what they'll one up it with this year, especially as most of their big reveals last year are still some way out, so there's the potential to regurgitate a lot of what was big last year. The hope is we'll at least see a new God of War.

Square Enix had the most titles I was interested in last year, so hoping they can repeat it this year, but again, I can only assume we will see a lot of the same stuff from last year, just further progressed upon.

Finally, id love Ubisoft to blow me away with Zombi2, a new Rayman and a follow up to Child of Light.
 
My top 5 E3 dreams:
1. An AAA PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale or Karting from a great developer
2. God of War IV with an epic trailer like this. I watched it over 30,40 times, but still gives me goosebumps! "I hope for nothing... I fear nothing."
3. A new 2D Rayman. Rayman Origins/Legends were amazing and I really want a new one.
4. The Elder Scrolls VI teaser
5. Return of the Crash Bandicoot... :(

Yep, best trailer of all-time. GoW IV unveiling has me hyped more than anything and I wouldn't be surprised if they closed the show with it.

I knew you'd say that, but that just doesn't fly with Agent.

All we got in 2009 was a logo. Nothing more, and we have heard absolutely nothing since, and there was never a huge following of people to get it to come back like with TLG.

Agent has been dead for a very long time.
 
This is what I would like:

- Single and Multiplayer BF1 gmaeplay.
- Release dates for Wildlands, For Honor and Horizon.
- See a push for games with the graphics of Dice's last two games with the competition following (looking at you Ubi) like single player games, adventure/horror, etc.
- See what SWWS is planning for next year (the next wave of big games).
- Continue refinement of PSN.
- See how gorgeous GT and GoW will look like.

I still believe. The pictures that got posted from development last year gave me a bit of hope...I don't know how real are my expectations, but after seeing Shenmue 3, TLG, and potentially Crash soon, I believe Sony can do anything. Plus Rockstar is a pretty big company to abandon a game like that...I believe we'll see it sometime, if not this E3.

Blizzard are a company just as big and they abandoned Titan.

Also, those leaked screenshots were from development in 2009/2010. We've seen nothing for 6 years.

And I cannot see Rockstar releasing an exclusive in this day and age.

They may have done an Overwatch and taken inspiration from Agent and made a new game out of it, but the Agent we saw in 2009 is gone.

At least Titan got officially canceled. We haven't heard anything about Agent! And yeah I know those pictures were from years ago...Just gave me hope. But Rockstar had a deal with Sony, I don't know what happened backstage but Sony gotta be pissed if they just abandon it like that. Maybe they changed the agreement, but it didn't get cancelled yet and Rockstar can't just avoid it, can they?
Also, in 2011 Take Two said it was still in development and in 2013 they renewed trademarks about it.

They've been avoiding it for 7 years, and there's only a couple of people like on this forum who keep bringing it up.

Also, trademark renewals isn't really an indicator of that much.

Don't get me wrong by the way, it would be amazing to see Agent return. But it's not going to. People really need to move on because it's just not going to happen.
