And so the E3 2016 Hype Begins

Just realized that today was the 10th anniversary of the Sony E3 2006 conference! 10 years of $599, Giant Enemy Crab, and Riiiiidge Racer memes. Sony sure has come a long way since.

I know its impossible but I want to see a sequel for Alien Isolation. The creative assembly's console team is busy with Halo Wars 2, but what if there is a third small team which already started working on Alien Isolation 2.

My second dream title is Virtua Fighter 6.I don't know why this didnt' happen untill now.I mean it should.all other major fighting franchises have a game this generation except for Virtua Fighter and Soul Calibur.

I'd love to see a Star Wars game in the vein of Ni-Oh/Soulsborne/Dragon's Dogma+Mass Effect. There'd be an emphasis on the melee portion of the game but you could mold your character to be primarily a force user or a ranged combatant. You'd be free to travel between worlds and take part in ship-to-ship space combat as well.

Other than that, the usual suspects are;
1. Dino Crisis 4...really 3
2. Resident Evil 7
3. Onimusha 5
4. Dragon's Dogma 2
5. Deep Down
6. Dead Space 4
7. Last of Us 2
8. Savage Starlight

For real though, is there a reason not to have a Socom 2 remastered at this point? Online only throw it up on PSN for 39.99. So many less worthy games have gotten the remaster treatment IMO!

Deus Ex - Really want this game to be good, hope it gets a showing of some sort, a mission perhaps.
Crackdown 3 - Hoping to see real progress on this, perhaps more campaign details.
Banjo Kazooie - I wish..
Shenmue 3 - Eager to see how the game is shaping up
Visceral Star Wars - Hyped for potential RPG goodness.
Hardware - Really pumped for whatever MS and Sony have in the works, easily my most anticipated aspect of E3.

I hope Nintendo could announce a date for NX reveal event at E3 unless it's like in November or something crazy like that.

Of course if they truly are launching the thing in March rather than it being just a placeholder.

Atlus just push the knife into my heart already and SAY P5 next year. I want to rest from the expectation you build. Thank you.

I hope we get to see Destiny 2. Not sure how much longer they want to keep Destiny alive with TTK.

They'll only talk about the fall expansion pack. Expansion pack talk gets them to September, new content buys them a couple months and then they're back on the clock.

If I say it three times, will it appear on the E3 stage? Worth a shot.

Banjo Kazooie, Banjo Kazooie, Banjo Kazooie...

Yes please! We're getting Yooka-Laylee in October, and that's incredibly exciting. Add a Banjo game to that platforming goodness and the world might explode!

Ratchet and Clank was done by IG's North Coralina studio and the game is great. Even a satellite/external studio from one of Sony's studios could do a great job as long as the talent is there. Remember North Coralina studio are the same folks who pushed out FFA and A41.

Definitely will need passion though and good direction.

A lot of people don't seem to realize this, but their NC studio is where most of the R&C veterans are anyway.

Feeling pretty unexcited about E3 this year. Maybe I've been through one too many E3 cycles of hype and disappointment. Or maybe it just needs to get a little closer. The week before, I usually start feeling it.

Don't get me wrong by the way, it would be amazing to see Agent return. But it's not going to. People really need to move on because it's just not going to happen.
Would it really be amazing though? All we know it is that it's a game called "Agent" (which could have easily changed by now if it still exists). Who cares that there's some random game remains out there when all we know is the title? I'm sure Rockstar has had 50 other game prototypes since then.

Fans just latch on to every word that gets put out there like its of the utmost importance. Hell I've even seen people ask Retro to bring Raven Blade back.

I remember I was bouncing off walls around middle April last year for E3. I am excited but I am far more calm about it. Don't get me wrong, I am looking forward to it but I guess it is just that there are more notable games releasing around this time compared to last year and last E3 brought the house down for me anyway.

The E3 from this point forward are more icing on the cake for me now.

Edit - sorry for double.

Wasnt there solid rumors around console launch, that capcom made an exclusive deal with both Microsoft, for Dead Rising 3 and Sony, allegedly for Dragons Dogma 2?
I mean maybe Deep Down is what became of Dragons Dogma 2 during early concept phase and I would love to see more of it (or finally a proper Dragons Dogma 2).
Can never have enough RPGs on a console.

Sony got Dragons Dogma Online. Maybe that is what it meant.

Man that'd be straight bull. Xbox gets a full fledged next gen title and PS4 gets an online reskin of DD. That's a shitty deal if I've ever seen one. I would've argued for Lost Planet if that were the case if I was someone of authority at Sony. That'd be a deal worth making

I'm excited to see what MS has to show off...can't wait to see new Sea of Thieves and Crackdown gameplay, ReCore too. (shinobi's recent post on here about the customizing robots and the garage sound awesome)

I'm strangely more excited to see what MS has at this E3 compared to Sony...don't get me wrong I'm hyped as hell for what Sony has too but I just want to see what MS has in store and it's been pretty quiet concerning leaks with them opposed to Neo, what we know with PSVR, etc.

You know where this was posted?

"Third person action adventure where you venture into the world for quests, finding your little robot dudes, with RPG and customization elements. Melee, some shooting, etc."

That was from the ReCore delayed thread....

There was another thread where he specifically mentioned customization and a garage, just can't find it now....

Since there isn't going to be NX I'm all in on Crash.

...and a studio that has been under the radar lately all things considered - Rocksteady. Hopefully they've moved on from Batman...would love to see them work on something else. An E3 reveal should be great.

So, do you guys think Criterion is showing their new game? I mean, it was teased at e3 2014..

In case you guys do not remember: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LwRRpnQGLqM

I think we will see:

Bend's new game,
GOW 4
Horizon footage,
TLG release date

I wish we could see:

Sucker Punch spidey game (?)
A tease for The Last of Us 2 (I would acctually blow up)
The Monster Hunter game verendus teased for PS4, but at this moment I just don't know what to believe anymore. Except for Shinobi. Shinobi is Legit

Looking forward to where they take the new ME game. After many of the original team members left over the last 2 years.

Really hoping for some news about that too.

If they do say anything about Destiny 2, I am guessing they will want to be careful about dampening any enthusiasm for the fall expansion.

Tricky messaging there but yeah I hope they give us something to look forward to for Destiny 2. Do we even know what 'when' during 2017 we can expect it?

Ah crap, I didn't even know there's another expansion coming. Has that been confirmed? I know they had more listed in that leaked roadmap but I thought they scrapped that.

I believe MS need to use their actual likeable people more to help Xbox along. People like personalities they can relate to more personally. See Kevin Butler, Jack Treton, Shu.

I think MS should use Phill Spencer for games, Panos Panay for hardware (Surface Team) and Bryan Roper for everything else (˝productivity lime a boss˝ when showing off lumina phones with surface dck product).

I feel like this years E3 is going to be a little disappointing. Announcements of God Of War 4 and Red Dead Redemption 2 aren't interesting enough.

Depend on what they show on God of War 4, they need to change a lot to impress us like the first 3 games since the formula is fatigue now. And I don't know why people are expecting RDR2 at E3. The first RDR was only in a montage and it's not like Rockstar bother with E3 in the past outside of a remaster
