argh too late :( I will have to settle for "tweetcaster pro" instead :/

Have any devs here submitted their apps to Amazon yet? Any thoughts on this? I am thinking of sending 180 over..

I was looking at it myself, but i don't think my game is polished enough for it yet. I've made major updates to Scavenger yesterday and uploaded them to the market, but with the way the market app works I doubt anybody will ever see them. I think you should do it with 180. The process for submitting/modifying anything might take longer on Amazon, but chances are that a game like 180 would get more visibility on it than on the Market.

Just got myself a Samsung Galaxy S II and I'm anxious to get something innit. What was the name of that game developer game on IOS and which (I believe) was ported to Android also?

You guys don't seem to know about Rocket Bunnies and that's very wrong: Best game in the market IMO, paid or not (it's free).

Hey thanks for the feedback!

Yeah, like i said, it's still a bit early. I just wanted to finally get it out there, with the basic mechanics working. I've had a bunch of ideas already, I wanted to stay somewhat away from the typical tile breaker game mechanics from the other games. I figured I'd just release something that you can play to chill at first, nothing too complicated. But adding new game mechanics and effects is actually going to be the easiest part for me now. The hardest part was figuring out, and working around, all the quirks that make Android development such a pain in the ass at times. I've worked on many platforms before and I can't say that I'm a fan of Android's tool chain. I can't say I enjoy mixing my C++ with Java either!

That sucks to hear man. Glad you still brought it over. I thought developer tools were inproved recently?

Shitty colorblind support too. I can't play it. I expect better from popcap.

Have you tried my game (linked above?) We worked hard to make sure it was colorblind-friendly, but never got much feedback unfortunately :( Interested to know how it holds up.

I'm thinking the answer to this question is likely no, as I've not found anything after various searches, but just in case... is there anything even remotely like Beatwave on Android?

I started to play Majesty recently after it had just been sitting unplayed on my phone and I really enjoy it. Probably one of my favorite games on Android.

So...the Official Playstation app has been pseudo released for android phones. From What I gather. it is only for non US accounts currently, and only lets you see your friends list and whatnot. Either way, figured I would share incase it hasn't been already...

Haven't tried it myself yet though. Yeah, PSN hack, personal data, blah blah blah.

love this game. Own it on the 360 and my phone. I'll never beat it, but it's a fun distraction.
This game beats the hell out of me. I guess I'm a glutton for punishment, because it is one of the most brutal games I've ever played. Its like what super meat boy would have been if it was made in 1989 lol

You did well. The symbols on the game pieces are super helpful, especially once the new colors start showing up. The star and music note could have been issues for me under bad lighting conditions, but with the symbols there's no worry.

FAKE EDIT: Also, that Rocket Bunnies game is pretty great.

Anyone who complains about the android gaming scene being subpar, owes it to themselves to purchase ths fantastic title and support developers that are actually putting forth a quality effort on a very risky platform.

I'm incredibly impressed with this title. Its the kind of game I'd expect to see on Xbox live arcade or psn; its more than worth the $7 asking price. Impressive viuals only rivaled by infinite blade (ok, bested), a catchy Techno soundtrack, plenty of unlockables, well designed tracks (with multiple paths) and surprisingly well done tilt controls.

You have a tegra 2 device, you HAVE to have this game.

Just downloaded the demo of cordy from marketplace.

Great game with lovely side scrolling 2.5 graphic style - looks like a PSN title.

Would reccommend it!

Sorry for no pics, posting from phone

The controls are terrible. That's the only problem with it, but it really hampered my enjoyment of the title.

I didn't get it, but reading the reviews for it on Amazon's app store makes android owners look like assholes. It's got 2.5 stars and a bunch of people are whining that it isn't peggle or they have to download it through wifi.

That baseball game that was free on the amazon marketplace is literally sucking the life out of me.

i dont even like baseball...

Favorite game right now is "The Impossible Game" which was free on the Amazon Marketplace last week I believe. Addicted, but can't even pass level 1.

I like how you didn't name it once... 8) It's Riptide GP.
I'm probably LTTP but I just discovered AirAttack HD which is pretty good. Are there any other good shoot 'em up for Android ?

PikPok is rolling out updates to all the Android versions of our Flick Kick games this week. We finally tracked down some stability issues, so if you had trouble with any of them before you may find it much more stable for your handset after the update.

FlickKick Chelsea on Android?! Need to get that :D

Anyway, we were watching The Apprentice the other day where they made (terrible) Android apps, I asked my girlfriend what app she would make (thinking it'd be something I could just quickly go and grab from the store) and she said some kind of fantasy game where you go on an epic quest and solve lots of different riddles and puzzles... and I drew a blank! Is there anything like this on the market right now?

Cheers

Hopefully we'll have Flick Kick Chelsea on Android in the next 3 or 4 weeks. Right now we only have Football, Field Goal, Field Goal Kickoff (free), and Rugby available for Android.

I seem to only be able to enjoy roguelikes on my tablet. I posted awhile back about Dweller, which is alright on phones I guess, but the interface is borderline unusable on a tablet.

Legends of Yore has been my kick this past month. Great pixel graphics, and though I'd like a better tablet ui (menu items like inventory to screen corners), it's really fun. And very frequently updated (once it twice a day this week).

If it would work on my EVO I'd support it. Oh well. Keep these game recommendations coming, guys. Looks like we're getting a lot more traffic in this thread, which is good.

Thanks for posting this, I hadn't seen this game on the market yet. I bought it, seems pretty awesome so far.

Already put more than 5 hours into it. Some levels are quite hard. Sometimes it's hard to select a character if hes behind/at the same position as one other but it's still a lot of fun.

I think that 3 Knights/barbarians as tanks and 1 healer is the best combination so far. But i just got the 5 second time freeze ability with my wizard so he maybe becomes handy now.
Hate the skeleton archers . Got 59 kills today in the arena but my characters are all only level 13.

More games like this please. I hope they update some tweaks in the game or are already working on Battlehearts 2.

What really would fit to touchscreen gaming are round based games. I don't know why there aren't more in the market. Want Jagged Alliance on my Desire HD *drool*

Top man, thanks Mario! Will look out for that :)

Battleheart is the closest I can think of to be honest, especially with a current lack of Dungeon Raid on Android... but there must be something that more closely matches the request please?! :(

Thank you

(edit) wait up, you can get emulators for Android? SNES would be immense! Chrono Trigger & Super Mario All Stars alone would be worth the purchase, woo!

That'll be Game Dev Story, and yup, there's an Android version.

Sigh. Region locking sucks. Do companies hate money?!

Apparently, there's Puyo Puyo and Shiren the Wanderer on Android... But the market is regionlocked and won't let you buy it. There's a Disgaea port too . . .

I had plenty of fun with this game and it's also free.
Pumpkins vs Monsters. Part Puzzle game, Part Plants vs Zombies.
Boss level after each world and it quite challeging.

I'm still waiting for the last level of this game and
Rocket Bunnies (I also recommend this game).

Nice, I'll have to check this out. Dweller seems cool but I'd like something with a more touch-friendly interface. And the Oryx tileset is always fun.

To all the people saying this is free. It really isn't because sooner or later you will run out of charge and have to buy more.

just dont lose :)

it's hard at times. the tougher enemies (two and 3 stars) have just more hitpoints but thats enough to beat you.

it is really difficult to dominate the enemy (3 bots and shields, then only attack with microwave/laser/shock and repair the shields)

battleheart, robotek and some other nice games + the Tegra2 stuff gives me faith for android games.
