There's a Lite version of it, just try it out for yourself

reminder said:I've only bought Game Dev Story yet at a low price after playing the Lite version, but it gets repetetive very fast. I don't regret it, though. It was very fun and i also liked the Lite version of Grand Prix Story. Since i have enough to play right now (3 free games from Gameloft for Xperia Play owners, yay) i'm not in hurry.
But i hope they make some kind of Soccer Team Story or so. Would be an instabuy for me.![]()

Just bought my copy, could do with a tower defence game, and thought I'd do my bit to support the Market.
andycapps said:If it's only $.99 I'll probably do my part to support the market as well soon. I just got it on the Amazon Market as the free deal, great game.
sionyboy said:Sadly Amazon Market isn't available in the UK (well, not without a bit of shenanigans anyway) so the option wasn't there for me
Now, when are popcap going to bring their stuff over the Android Market? Stupid Amazon hogging all the peggle.
I'm sure that the original news reports said that they would be timed exclusives for two weeks, although it's been way longer now a and still no sign.andycapps said:I don't know about that. I'd assume that Amazon signed an exclusive deal with them for a period of time to help boost visits to their store. I'm just not sure how long Amazon's store will actually last since they're not the official one.. I'd guess that there is a hardcore following that checks their deal of the day but how many people would actually buy apps through it over the real Android Market? Most of their apps are usually not as up to date as quickly as the Android Market cousins. Plus, if you buy something there, and the Amazon Market ceases to exist, you wouldn't be able to get updates anymore, or potentially transfer the purchases to future phones.
Well Amazon are meant to be launching their own range of Android devices this year. Unless those flop it's going to create a large userbase for their app store. I'm sure it wouldn't be hard for them to find ways to encourage networks or manufacturers to preload the store onto other devices as well, and have it placed in a prominent position.andycapps said:I don't know about that. Android version of Inotia 3: Children of Carnia (RPG by Com2uS) is out on the market, I haven't tried it yet but it's currently free so you can't go wrong.

I hope they have plans for an Android version of Third Blade too.
Age of Zombies, 180, Paradise Island, Majesty, Cut the Rope, Plants vs Zombies, and Peggle. I believe Plants vs Zombies and Peggle are only available on the Amazon App Store, could be wrong though.HadesGigas said:I'm gonna be getting an android phone today, what are the best games that I'd maybe not heard of? Like something that isn't a port of an iphone game.
Also, Toki Tori is only 99 cents until monday.

Menelaus said:So after about a year of testing the "2 version" method in the market (1 free ad-based version, 1 paid version with extra features/no ads), we've decided to test the completely free to play model, and crammed all of our pro features into our free app. I'm very curious to see how it works out. No matter what we tried, we just felt that the money is in ads at every turn.
We made this update live yesterday, and are now getting a bevy of chronic force closes that we can't replicate across our test device pool. Would anyone be willing to try our newest version, and report back if it's FCing on them?

Thanks!
VanWinkle said:Age of Zombies doesn't work on my Asus Transformer tablet, unfortunately. I have the game on my PSP Go, but it still would have been nice.
By the way, if anybody else with a Honeycomb tablet tried Fieldrunners HD and had it show up with a black screen with a HUD when the battle started, all you have to do is a pinch-to-zoom out gesture and it will show up. No idea why it's like that, but it works.
I gave it a quick 2 minute trial and it seems to work fine on my HTC Incredible. Cute little game to pass a few minutes! I'll try out more when I'm not busy being lazy and post again if anything happens.Menelaus said:We made this update live yesterday, and are now getting a bevy of chronic force closes that we can't replicate across our test device pool. Cool, thank you for trying! I'm thinking the problem is relegated to 1.5 users, and unfortunately, we haven't been as quick as other developers to cut them off. They represent about 15,000 of our active 250,000 user base.ZZMitch said:Oh man, I forgot a Gaffer was behind this game! I just played it for a few minutes, no problems on the OG Droid.

The Quadsphere said:Hey GAF.
Not sure what the self-advertising policy is around here, so I'm going to try my luck and present our games.
We're a 2 men team eager to make fun games without a publisher.
Our latest release is FMX Riders, an Arcade freestyle motocross racer.
Gameplay is a lot like the SSX series with tricks giving you boost and both race and freestyle events (and also time attack and hotlap modes).
It was designed around Tilt-to-turn, Auto-acceleration and Touch-to-trick controls from the start: simply tilt your device to turn and swipe across your rider when in the air to do flips and spins. (You might have to hit the brakes from time to time though, especially in 450cc and the harder tracks).
FMX Riders comes in 2 flavors:
FMX Riders HD ($2.99) optimized for the following GPUs: PowerVR SGX540, Adreno 205/220 and Tegra 2 (twice the draw distance, bigger textures, higher-poly models). If you can see this version on the market from your phone, then it's the better version for you.
FMX Riders ($2.99) for every other device
If you give us a chance, we'd love to know what you think! (and fix bugs if any).
And if I don't get perma-destroyed by a mod for shameless advertising, I'll be back to present our other game
edit: Nevermind, apparently it's ok![]()
Huh. Just tried Age of Zombies and it indeed worked fine. Sweet.LuchaShaq said:Huh?
I have an ASUS transformer and have had no problems with either fieldrunners or age of zombies. Played them both for 20min or so yesterday.

Congrats for getting featured, guys. I've been tweeting to Maurice trying to get Cubes featured...guess I'm not big league like you guys =P
Great game my friend! Looks fantastic on my Transformer.wondermega said:wow I didn't realize Destructoid gave us a nod!
Yeah we got featured on Amazon App Store today, so I have kind of been making the rounds spamming it out..
I am very happy with the reception on Amazon, as with Android in general the app has generally just had a much more positive reception overall than the previous iteration's iPhone rollout. Of course, I still am very far away from making any actual money with any of this, I'll let you know how it winds up - hopefully some better times ahead
BTW we also made the iPhone version temporarily free to help drive the point home, so grab it if you got one of those too!

Looking forward to trying out android apps now, originally wanted to buy an android tablet but I did need a new phone so went with that option.
Is there a must have list going around?
