You can sort reviews by phone type I think, so you could just look up reviews with that phone and see.

Jon - September 5, 2012 - SEMC Xperia Play with version 12.07.04
Amazing game

Don't sleep on this one, buy it, it's awesome. Works great on xperia play. Controls are good and graphics faithful to the arcade. This and dodonpachi are the best shooters on android by a mile.
Thanks I got my answer that way. :D

I won one of these from SEGA:

Does Espgaluda II and Dodonpachi Daifukkatsu work on it? o:

I won one too, haha. I already have an S3 and a Vita, so it won't be of much use, but it will be kind of cool to mess around with.

Has anyone here tried touchmix fx? I want to like it but I swear that it's not recognizing some of my taps and giving me misses when it shouldn't. Maybe it's a sync issue. I haven't had this problem at all in O2Jam.

I hate that my phone has three app stores on it - Amazon, Google Play and Samsung. Urgh! They all seem to have different apps etc too... it's nice to have choice, but damn, I don't get why developers would put something onto a store other than Google's own...

Big advantage of the Xperia Play over the PSVita is the size, it's practically impossible to fit the Vita into any reasonably sized pocket.

What the F happened to Jetpack Joyride? Wasn't it supposed to come out on Google Play the week after the Amazon release or something like that? Well, it's nowhere to be seen.

(Amazon Appstore is not available in Sweden.)

What is the site to go to for android gaming news/reviews? Anything outthere like toucharcade?

*high five*

That and the fact that I can play SFIII 3rd Strike, TLoZ Majora's Mask, Mega Man X4, etc. on the bus during my school commute everyday.

Isn't the Vita around the size of a 3DS XL? That fits my pockets fine, a little more snug than I would like, but it still fits

Very cool -- thanks for the tip!

The promotion page, for those who are interested:

Granny Smith is fantastic and totally worth 25 cents. Curious about Symphony of Eternity as well.

Hmm, not much for me there. Already have Granny Smith (which is great, and definitely worth that price, but way too short and easy). I might get the Tasks app, I'm missing some good integration of that on my phone (it's pretty bad that the Google Calendar app doesn't have that functionality).

just got this game for free from market

INDESTRUCTIBLE

its a bit like twisted metal and has online vs play. I like it so far but hope I can get a gamepad controller to work with it.

only played 1st level and one online match and like it so far.

I was thinking about picking up that Super Monkey Ball game. If it had SMB Racing then it would a 100% sure buy. If it had local multiplayer over wifi and was a nearly complete port of SMB 1 for GC, I would spend 7.00+ on it.

Sega did such a nice job with that tennis game too

so Monkey Ball is good? Loved the first 2 on Gamecube but never really played any of the mobile versions.

might get that and Rayman... haven't bought any games since I got my GNex.

New titles at 25 cent

Mini Motor Racing
Shark Dash
Fifa 12
Cut the Rope: Experiments
World of Goo
Dungeon Village

Dungeon Village is a steal for that price. Download if you dont already own it.

I liked game dev story but I don't understand why people love it. I've gotten to the point of where the equivalent of the ps2/GameCube type consoles coming out and I've been getting selling well on all my games. Ive kind of gotten bored and I haven't played it for a really long time? Is the dungeon a better game than game dev? Also will playing chrono trigger a lot spoil this game for me?

Also has anyone tried FIFA 12? (I know that this is an EA game but just have to ask)

Which games do you say show the more stark difference? Anyway, I do know that Nova 3, GTA and Shadowgun run better on my GNote than on an iTouch 4.
Right, but the iPod Touch 4 is based on 2010 hardware while your GNote is much more modern.

The 4S and especially the 5 do much better. For games without a frame limiter the performance is really incredible. Nearly every game I have on my phone runs at 60 fps, in fact.

And iPhone 5? If so, I don't dispute that. :)

I think you are the most single minded non-joke poster here. It is pretty impressive in a way.

Yeah, the 5.

I just looked it over even. I have 30 games installed on my phone and all but 3 of them run at 60 fps. The three that don't (Doom, Infinity Blade 2, and Lili) all have framerate locks in place and could probably run faster.

Ha ha, not at all, but it is important.

Rayman was being a bit laggy on my GNex. Graphics ran great all except one time, but the audio was chopping a bit.

I'll have to investigate further.

Yeah, the 5.

Does Nova 3 runs at 60 locked?

I only tested it briefly (removed it due to the massive 1.75gb file size) but it actually runs very well. It's not a perfect 60, but it's remarkably close. It's reminiscent of Call of Duty on consoles in that regard. In multiplayer, however, it does actually seem to run at a locked 60.

Not a huge fan of the game, but it LOOKS fantastic.

Thanks! Gonna double-dip for WoG... that thing's usually $5. Been waiting for a sale on that one!

yeah if you've never played world of goo, shame on you..

It's 95% off and virtually the same as console/pc versions.
I've had it on Steam for years, but it seems to have problems with my dual-monitor setup... plus, I like the idea of playing it on a tablet surface. Now's my chance.

So awesome. What's with the 'probably' eh? :D

Heh, don't know, bought it shortly after writing that post. And yes, it is indeed pretty awesome!

SMB2 for Android is really good. The mini-games suck pretty bad, but the main game is a solid portable rendition of classic SMB gameplay. The tilt controls take some getting used to if all you've played are the Gamecube originals, but once you're comfortable with them you can have a lot of fun with the game!

This is what it looks like on my Nexus:

Not the best-looking smartphone game out there, but perfectly adequate for its style.

Rayman was being a bit laggy on my GNex. Graphics ran great all except one time, but the audio was chopping a bit.

Hmm, really? Seems to run great on mine, haven't noticed any choppy audio or anything like that.
