Is this pretty much Death Rally, or...? Any pay-to-win BS? Hate that.

havent played death rally but from looking at a video indestructible is more like twisted metal because it doesnt have races. you can upgrade your car by winning but I didnt play enough to see if it forces you to buy.. I do know my first online match it put me in my level 1 car against people with upgraded cars who kicked my ass..one guy had a huge tank thing and I had a little machine gun.

If anyone is wondering what the difference between the standard and HD versions of Bad Piggies is, I installed them both and found that they are both exactly as HD.

Standard version:

HD version:

Standard version:

HD version:

I found one tiny difference between them, and that's this:

Standard version:

HD version:

See, the boxes you drag the parts from are a bit smaller in the HD version, which I guess is supposed to be better on a larger tablet screen. And that's literally the only difference I've found. Was it really necessary to release (and maintain) two different versions of the app for that? Oh well.

Just got:

World of Goo
Paper Camera
Dungeon Village
Granny Smith

For the total price of £1!

Also got SwiftKey 3 for 69p, seems like a great price - one of the main reasons I switched to Android too.

How's Paper Camera? Might get it for my wife's Galaxy S2S... it'd be pointless on my N7 w/o a rear-facing camera. I hate that it doesn't have one. :(

wait, doesn't ios has more games on sale? unless you mean window mobile.

World of Goo bought!

How is FIFA? Worth playing on a phone? What about that Mini Motor Racing? Looks kinda fun. I know, they basically cost nothing, so what's the harm in trying them out, but I really don't want to buy a bunch of games I'm only gonna try once no matter how cheap they are.

My guess is he's talking about SwiftKey (which is an amazing keyboard) - there are no third-party keyboards in iOS.

Unless it's an optical illusion, it looks like the colors are lighter in the HD version?

Is their any good DOS emulation for android? I still have my copy of the first Gaberial Knight and would love to play that on my phone.

I liked game dev story but I don't understand why people love it. I've gotten to the point of where the equivalent of the ps2/GameCube type consoles coming out and I've been getting selling well on all my games. Ive kind of gotten bored and I haven't played it for a really long time? Is the dungeon a better game than game dev? Also will playing chrono trigger a lot spoil this game for me?

same thing happened to me with game dev and with tiny tower... fun at first but then it just seemed to be pointless. I got dungeon village today and so far I'm liking it... its using the same gameplay as final fantasy my life as a king on wiiware but im not sure if thats the first to do this type of game... theres more to see and do than with game dev and tiny tower so far.

So you'd recommend Dungeon Village? I haven't played any Kairosoft game, because they just don't look interesting to me. But everyone is saying that they are, so should I jump in with this one?

Pretty sure that's just your screen tricking you.

Here, I took the left half of the standard version screenshot and the right half of the HD version screenshot and put them together:

You can see the split in the bottom icons, but other than that there's no way to tell.

Yeah, game dev is fun but shallow. Kairosoft's later games like Dungeon Village and Kairobotica build on the concept enough to keep things more interesting.

Is it a game you can play in short bursts though, or do you have to spend a lot of time to get anywhere? Not sure that's what I want on my phone. But trying it out for basically no money at all wouldn't really hurt, I guess.

Kairosoft games are definitely games you can happily play in short bursts - they are very addictive though so don't be surprised if you end up playing for longer than you had originally intended :-)

It's a long-term sim but there isn't much of a difference between playing it in small bursts vs playing it all day long. You can basically play as much as you want and I think it'll pick up wherever you happen to leave off. Can't remember if saves are automatic or if you have to save and quit though, but even if it's the latter I don't recall having to go out of my way to save my progress.

Ah, damn, sounds like I'll have to pick it up.

On the other hand, people were raving about Tiny Tower a while back, which is kind of the same in that it's a building and management game that takes a long time (infinity?) to get through but can be played in short sessions. Anyway, I got tired of that game real fast. I realize these are pretty different, but would you say that has any effect on my chances of enjoying Dungeon Village (if you've played Tiny Tower, that is)?

Rayman is really good, hell of a lot more than substantial the endless runner I thought it'd be. First game on my nexus 7, getting used to the form factor versus the ipad 3 I was using prior

For what it's worth, I thought Game Dev Story from Kairosoft was an excellent, and very addicting game. I only stopped playing after pouring weeks into it, and forgot to backup my save, and lost everything I built into it.

dungeon is worth .25 cents. you can see your little heroes go out to fight on the field and you can equip them and give them items, hold events to boost morale, watch boss fights.. theres dungeons but you cant really see inside just a progress map of where they are and who dies flies out of a hole where you can heal them in the field.

I got like 60-70 floors in tiny tower and stopped playing out of boredom. ..thinking of uninstalling that. already uninstalled game dev.

Well, alright then. Bought. :)

Guys, I'm thinking on picking up a Nexus 7 in the near future. Does Jelly bean come with a good stock app to take handwritten notes? I'm asking because the Autodesk app seems like it would serve the same purpose.

Nope, stock Android comes with no note-taking app of any kind pre-installed.

Dungeon Village is digital crack. I'm not even sure I like it that much but I can't stop playing. Well worth 25p either way.

I know it's fucking bull shit. Fuck you Kariosoft
I did stop playing earlier after playing much longer than I wanted. It's a good game and a must try for .25

I was going to check out Asphalt 7 but the pice went up. How is Fifa 12? Picked up Mini Motor and World of Goo. Pretty good games the both. Mini Motor is kind of like Super off road and World of Goo is a good little puzzler.

Jungle Run looks fun but not compatible with my A100. Moving apps to micro SD should be easier than they make it though. =(

Not compatible with my LG Thrill? What the hell, yo :(
Google Play Store said mine (SGH-T769) wasn't compatible. Amazon said it was.
Purchased through Amazon, downloaded quite fast, updated with the 68MB patch quite fast too;...here's the game running (perfectly so far):

Game's blast, well worth the $3. :)

Well, in a week I'm joining this side of the fence by buying a Nexus 7 and the first game I've bought is Dungeon Village.

Right now I can only buy games that run on my ex-wife's shitty Wildfire S, and I was kind of surprised that DV even would but, hey, for $.25 you can't lose. I also picked up the note app.

I can't wait for my Nexus. My only experience with Android was that shitty Wildfire S running 2.3 (Gingerbread, I think?). I wasn't impressed but JB looks really sweet and I can't wait to own a tablet.

is there an app that lets you set the brightness level for a particular app? (independently from the "main" brightness setting).

I was just playing Rayman Jungle Run and its visuals beg to be enjoyed at a not so low brightness setting.

Fuck this dungeon game, I'm actually pissed that I've spent so much time playing it today. And nice to see Jetpack Joyride finally on the Play Store.

Sorry if this is a noob question.

Is there a good way to run apps straight off a SD card?

Do any of you guys do this? What do you use?

Moving stuff back and forth is annoying.

Ah, stupid Minus mobile.

Fixed the image from my last post. Is Dungeon Village supposed to be like that (the Chinese lettering in the menu)

I use tasker for this. Set it to increase brightness and enable auto rotate in my camera and gallery apps. You could set it to just increase the brightness in Rayman
