I've started playing Knights of Pen and Paper and I like it so far, it's a fun RPG that is focused on the combat (turn based) and choosing what your next encounter will be, rather than the story (the "story" is that you're playing a D&D style game).

Okay, this looks frigging amazing. Is the story actually fun and lengthy? The video on the store page gives me a huuge Knights of the Dinner Table (and similar) vibe. Will buy as soon as I actually can buy stuff on the GMP.

I got NFS Most Wanted, but when I start it up it gets as far as "Welcome to Fairview..." and then goes back to the home screen of my phone. It downloaded all that 500+mb aswell. This is on my Xperia T.

I got through it in a few days. It was fun, but doesn't last too long and is not incredibly deep. Still for a dollar or two it's well worth it.

(Dual stick shooter, bullet dodging) - I'm glad some of you like expendable rearmed as well-I never played the original but found this to be a lot of fun and well made although I still find it a bit hard to aim, might need to drop sensitivity even further. Looks great and is a whole load of fun for a quid. I moved it near the top of my game folder ;)

(Puzzle) - Been enjoying Splice as well. Initially I was a bit confused about the mechanics and didn't get into it and the text is a tiny bit small on the note 2 (pen support would have been nice too) but as well as the really impressive presentation, the game is a solid puzzler.
Went through it all (not the epilogue stages yet, which I'm thankful for as I needed more than 49 levels and epilogue packs quite a few) yesterday night, I couldn't put it down - really rewarding getting it right and will be playing it again to get them done in less moves once I've forgotten the shapes.

Downloaded that multiplayer runner to check out later today as well, thanks.

Email them and ask for help would be my first suggestion.

Here's what you do if you want a refund.
= Go to https://play.google.com/store/account and sign in.
- Find the app on the list of your purchases
- Click report a problem
- Click the id like to request a refund button.
- Get refund in like 2 mins.

Wow, thank you, I did not know that this was possible. Got a refund for Chaos Rings which I purchased almost a week ago. Really disliked that game and only played for like 15 minute.

Same here. Thanks to the OP of that link!

I'm playing Hatchi free, and I probably will upgrade. I don't know why but for some reason I'm loving it. Probably because I used to own a few gigapets of my own, but whatever. I'm having a blast playing with the little thing.

Anyone playing puzzles and dragons? I've been addicted to it for about 2 weeks now. Pokemon/Bejeweled meets a dungeon crawler.

Whoever recommended Cytus, thank you. Great music game, I'm already hooked. Anyone into music games at all should check that one out.

On an unrelated note, I had no idea that Zen Pinball was out on Android, seems to be a faithful conversion too.

You're welcome :3

Any ideas on how Reckless Racing might run on an HTC One V?

And is there any way to tell how a particular app will run on different devices?

From the online store, (https://play.google.com/apps) and it's the same on my phone app - When you look at the ratings - (click on Read all reviews) then check out the settings it gives you, they are below the star + rating count at the top and the option in the middle says All Devices, click on it and you can choose your device only to get the reviews you want - and also other options for the latest version of the game etc.

I tend to check the latest reviews as well instead of just reading the most helpful which is the default sorting order as I think those probably get bumped to oblivion in the preview reviews (main) page for each game and might not be so relevant anymore.

Awesome AND free!!

Don't let the touch controls turn you off, the game is simple enough that they work for it.

GET IT

Oh, I recall this from iOS! Good little game. Reminds me a lot of a great flash game called Star Guard. I emailed the developer and begged him to strike while the iron was hot and release a mobile version but he never did get back to me and never released a mobile version :'(

I sincerely think he would have made a mint off it.

Knights of Pen and Paper is the best game I've played on the Android so far and I've had one for 4+ years.

I just bought it over the holiday for .99 and it's beyond awesome. I can't stop playing it. I think I have more hours into it than most AAA games I played last year.

Awesome awesome game if you like RPGs.

Battery hog though :(

It locked up my phone and made me pull my battery when I tried it in November. Now it makes my phone reboot. I don't know if that's forward progress or not. I guess I'll try again in a few versions.

I played the shit out of StrikeFleet Omega and beat the whole campaign earning three stars on every level (except the last one). Definitely one of the best Android games I've played even though it was freemium. You don't need to spend a dime to beat that game once you develop a good strategy. I also got to wave 235 on survival. I've reached a point though where you can have to spend money to upgrade in order to the get the better ships for survival because the cash won't cut it anymore. Because of this I don't play it anymore.

Now if only I could figure out how to beat world 5 of Radiant Defense (one of the best tower defense ever) without spending anything. It's damn near impossible. I wish I could just pay one price for the game and have legit access to everything, but at the same time have the game still remain challenging.

And this game is actually the shit. Reminds me super meat boy in terms of simplicity and how addictive it is when you can redo a level quickly.

Just realized that this at the same people who made that Super Stickman Golf game that's also addictive. The make so many levels in their games.

Upgrading to a Nexus 7 from the TF101.
First Gen Tegra device to a Third Gen Tegra device ..... should be fun!
Quick question for N7 owners, being a reference device, does it come with root access out of the box? Or do I need to run some fun stuff to gain root access.

Which reminds me, is there any 'deal' app for android in terms of the play store? Listing if there is any deals and etc

Nope, though it should be fairly simple to root. Lots of guides on the net and on xda for that.

Rooting it will take about 2 clicks and 10 minutes of your time :)

Search Google/Youtube for 'Wugfresh Nexus Toolkit'.

Thanks! Man rooting has become damn easy! Back in the day I had to create a damn golden card! (Which failed like 2/3 times)

Perfect thanks!

Last question, as this is my first 3G tablet device, does stuff like What's App work on it? Considering it's tied to a cell number and etc.

Having some good fun with my android games lately.

On xmas day I bought pudding monsters (by the guys that did cut the rope). Prett good puzzle game. Just like Cut the rope it was pretty easy to 3 star all the levels over just a few hours. However whats really great is they added the ability to get a crown rating. You get this for getting all the required star ratings on that lvl. For example one level you might need to complete it with a 0 star, 2 star and 3 star ratings to get the crown. Great idea.

Also been playing jell defence, which is a nice enough tower defence game. Nothing particularly new in there gameplay wise but its has nice visuals and plays well enough.

Knights of pen and paper is a really great game as well. Interesting how it allows you to play a lot of the quests at your own pace and choose how many monsters to fight at once etc etc. Good humour to it as well.

I have a shit ton of games I am yet to play because they were either free or on sale over xmas and I just impulse bought them.

I like that it gives me a really different kind of game selection than is available on my Vita. The combo gives me a great variety of stuff to play.

Its a shame some companies (like gameloft) cant be bothered to optimise some games to the tegra 3 device. For example NOVA 3. I have the game on my iPhone 4s and its OK, nothing special but it runs like crap on the N7 for no reason I can see other than they cant be bothered to optimize there android games properly. Madfinger on the other hand go out of there way to make better versions for the Tegra3 devices.

The Play store is definately getting better and better as well. Really enjoyed the android system since I joined it on november. Only really used iOS before that.

We have our replacement Nexus 7 now. The first one failed after only 3 weeks of usage (stuck on splash screen, even "booting failed" @ fastboot). When in fastboot there's a reminder that unlocking will void warranty. I'm glad we did not do it so we got our replacement without any problems. I'm not so sure if this would be that easy if you unlocked it and it fails afterwards.
