So my Third time playing Dungelot I got to the 50th level of the Dungeon and I kinda feel like there's nothing left for me to find. What kind of stuff is there do unlock/find past the 50th level?
Humble Bundle With Android 5 is up. Initial lineup is: Beat Hazard Ultra, Dynamite Jack, Solar 2, and NightSky HD. BTA gets you Super Hexagon and Dungeon Defenders.
I missed out on Android HB1 and 2, so HB3 gave me HB1's games and HB4 gave me HB2's games (or somesuch). Wonder what week 2 will give users. Repeats, most likely? Still a good deal IMO.
I made it to 100 something before intentionally dying because nothing happens. Terrible game.
Thanks for the heads up.I made it to 100 something before intentionally dying because nothing happens. Terrible game.
Judging from their latest jp game, their next one will be something like dungeon village but with ninjasKairosoft made a horse racing game. Yep, that's Japan.
Pixel Kingdom just came out today. Pixel Kingdom via Play Store. If anyone remembers, this game was mentioned, by me (I'm not the creator, just enthusiastic about the game), and then featured on the kickstarter thread OP. In addition to Android, the game is also being released on other platforms such as iOS, PC, Mac, and Linux.
It's a pretty neat defense game, created using the Unity Engine, with a familiar play style to that of Cartoon Defense, except in Pixel Kingdom you have three lines to defend against invading monsters. It features infinite level generation with increasing difficulty as you progress, unlockable units that have their own distinct stats and abilities, an in-game merchant that offers items which can give you the edge in battle with boosts to things like unit health and mana (used to summon new units to the battlefield), achievements, and much more.
It is supported by IAP's (only for mobile versions), however it does NOT require any sort of purchase to enjoy the full game, just time investment as you can acquire gems throughout the game normally. Granted, it is a rather low gather rate. The IAP's are very reasonably priced, in my opinion, and if you really enjoy the game I suggest at least buying the $1 for 10 gems package as gold is easy to come by or even the gem doubler. Gems can be used to help your units live longer and kill harder by way of upgrades, which I'll get to in a minute.
Unlocking a unit initially requires gold, save for one mysterious unit which requires an unknown amount of gems, which I assume you find out later by acquiring the in-game achievements. After a unit is unlocked, though, they do require gems to be upgraded. The first upgrade rank only requires 1 gem but each subsequent upgrade rank appears to require 1 more gem. (rank 1 = 1 gem, rank 2 = 2 gems, etc etc) There are A TON (not really, but seriously about 16) of units to unlock and use to lay waste to the evil invaders. Such units include the warrior, the archer, the rogue, the wizard, the knight, and so on. There are some really unique units that I won't spoil.
There are many distinct level "themes" which are used in the level generations and each one has it's own set of enemies that will attempt to invade and over take your castle. The levels are basically the same visually in the sense that they are just lanes with a background theme. The generation portion of it all relates to how many monsters, which theme, and which monsters will invade. It could be a few monsters, set in a castle themed area, with nothing more than goblins and kobolds or it could be a literal crap ton of monsters, set in a castle theme, with nothing but giant orges and goblins riding cannons storming your way.
You can also acquire useful items throughout the game which offer different advantages. Such advantages include bonus starting mana, bonus gold per round, unit speed boosts, etc etc. Other useful items need to be purchased, using gold, from the merchant. Such items include a shield for the warrior which offers them more health, an elvish bow for the archer which offers them more damage, bandit boots for the rogue which allows them to be summoned for 3 fewer mana, and much, much more.
One drawback so far, the game cannot be exited without hitting the home button and force closing it. Hopefully this will be fixed quickly as the developer seems to really care and actually listen to suggestions made by users.
EDIT: An update released literally moments ago solved this issue as well as several others.

DeProfundis looks interesting. I'm going to check it out.
Yeah, that was the first game I got. Any idea on how to create a character? It keeps putting me in as the default female character.
Any thoughts on Final Fantasy Dimensions? If it is like FFIv/v/vi I might get it.
I'm was also wondering this, and if it works on rooted devices.
Anyone try Trid?
I started playing it and it's really cool! It's a super simple idea, really easy to pick up, but gets really tricky and challenging the deeper you get.

You have to copy the diamond on the top right within the one in the middle. Just fill in the blocks.
It starts speeding up, spinning, and just totally fucking with you. It's really cool.

Are there games that don't work on rooted devices?
Just made a post about it. No answers yet.Anyone else getting a malware warning when trying to go to the first page of this thread?

So I tried reading the OP.
And Firefox said it was an attack page.
Is this a known issue?
So, bring a PlayStation 3 controller with me everywhere?
I really don't want to do that. Part of the point of me doing this, is because I have my phone on me at all times. It is small and fits even easier into my pocket than my Vita or 3DS.
Thus, the MOGA, and the PS3 "Sixaxis" are a bit big for what I want to do.
What I'd actually like is something that wraps around my Galaxy proclaim and only makes it slightly bigger, maybe around the size of my Vita or slightly smaller. That I can live with and fit in my pocket.
I'm into chapter 2, and its really charming and well done, especially if you appreciate the FF's that are lighter on story and rely more on grinding and mechanics. The art is surprisingly good and the characters are cool. It feels way above something like FFIV The After Years...Any thoughts on Final Fantasy Dimensions? If it is like FFIv/v/vi I might get it.
Still trying to find a good turn-based game i can play with friends during work.
All right... well.. new question.
Well, I hope emulation on Android devices isn't taboo here or anything. I like playing SNES games on my Android phone. Or rather, I would, if the screen wasn't so tiny and the portion of the screen I had to press wasn't so specific to input commands.
And I'm thinking to get this to be more fun, I want to get some sort of gamepad. A gamepad I know will work with popular Android emulators, especially the SNES ones. I've definitely tried researching it myself, but I still have no idea what would be the best pad for my Android. I'm also thinking the best would be one of those types of pads that wrap around the Android phone.
Which in my case, would be a Samsung Galaxy Proclaim.
It wouldn't hurt as well if it could also work with my non-emulated games. Like maybe Chrono Trigger(though that is slightly better optimized for Android interface and doesn't really need one.) I am really sick of playing DoDonPachi with the touchscreen.
Just made a post about it. No answers yet.

Is the apps store still US only?
That's the EU version. I think the US one has different daily apps.
Very cool to get a free kairosoft game. I snapped it up straight away!
I haven't gotten too much into phone games.. So far my favorites are plants vs zombies, peggle (though it doesn't work on my note 2), mayjor mayhem, Rayman jungle run, and I guess angry birds. I grew tired of angry birds though, are there other games of similar quality that I could check out?
