How's Super Hexagon on a touch screen?

The controls for the game are "clockwise" and "counter-clockwise". And the controls have always been digital.

So, PERFECT.

If you've never played before, the first time you do you're probably gonna wish you could turn down the sensitivity because it's a really fast paced game, but you get used to it and get better quick.

Chopper Mike is live!! Enjoy! :D

Click for Google Play...

(Hope that link works)

Bought it and have enjoyed it so far. I do have a question: why is impossible to get the "Fast" star without getting the "Perfect" star? It seems to defeat the entire purpose of giving off 1 second penalties if one fault is going to prevent you from getting the fast star.

Manos: Hands of Fate seems perfect for you.

I wish that had support for physical controls. How could they forget to add that?

Also the latest patch broke the controls of Towelfight 2 on my Xperia Play, now they're bound completely wrong (d-pad shoots, no movement keys)

Cool :D

You make a really good point! In my mind Fast was always the ultimate, so I saw Perfect as a requirement for it.

Edit: I thought it through a bit. The penalties will still add to your Total Game Time, and the times for the difficulty modes. So, if you're working on getting those down, penalties are still important past the first one!

Bought and love. Really impressive controls.

Thank you! :D

Simpsons tapped out is released on europe, did not know it. It seems very Farmville, but these are the simpsons...

I messed with the game a little, but it seems kind of pointless. There is literally really nothing to do than to assign tasks to people, then wait 8-24 hours so you can do it again. The game seems to be built just for the sole purpose as a vehicle to sell micro transactions. Even though it is the Simpsons, I really can't believe that it is in the top 5 grossing titles on the play store.

I will probably jump on Chopper Mike and see how that is, I am itching for a new game after finishing 10000000.

http://www.androidpolice.com/2013/0...episode-2-super-hexagon-and-more-all-on-sale/

Plasma Sky (50% off - $0.99)
Sonic CD (80% off – $0.99)
Sonic 4 Episode 2 (80% off – $0.99)
Sonic 4 Episode 2 THD (80% off – $0.99)
Sonic Jump (80% off - $0.99)
Super Hexagon (66% off - $0.99)
PacMan Championship Edition (50% off – $0.99)
Superbrothers Sword and Sworcery (61% off – $1.95)

Anyone can recommend something off this list? I already have Super Hexagon, are the Sonic games any good?

Is there even any difference between Sonic 4 Ep 2 THD and regular? Except the THD version not being playable on non-Tegra devices.

I've hear good things about Sonic CD and Sword and Sorcery is supposed to be good but I didn't like it when I played it on my iPad. I think I'll get Sonic CD thanks for the heads up.

I wasn't aware of this until yesterday, but man, using a PS3 controller to play games on android is so good. Played through Manos and Towelfight 2, shocking how much better these two games are with physical controls.

Chopper Mike is a good game with nice graphics and controls. However, after the easy section I found myself having no fun at all because the time goals seem impossible to achieve. And I'm sure you can practice and practice and eventually get it but it's crazy how perfect your run has to be to get it in the time allotted, and that's just on normal!

Have you guys talked about Hungry Shark: Evolution in this thread yet?

That game is fantastic. Freemium done right.

Also you get to flop a shark across land as he eats people along the way.

First thing that popped into my head.
Downloaded and will try later, heh.

I apologize if this isn't the right place to ask, but I just got my first android phone (switching from iPhone 5, cause it sucks) and I'm looking for some info on running emulators (something that my iPhone couldn't do without a LOT of hassle).

Which emulators work well right now? By well I mean that the majority of games are playable.

Also which ones can my phone (Sony Xperia Ion) likely run?

The relevant specs for the phone are:
ICS 4.04 and soon to be 4.1 Jellybean
1GB RAM
Qualcomm MSM8260 Snapdragon (Dual Core 1.5ghz)
Adreno 220 GPU

Thanks!

Holy crap, pac chomp is probably the best match 3 game I've played. I'd definitely recommend checking out out.
I'm on my phone, so can't link it. It's right there on the play store, though.

I bought it having never played it before, downloaded it to my CM9 Note. There's definitely a bit of input lag there. Same with my Nexus 7. I was curious, so I installed it on my dad's iPad while visiting last weekend, and it controlled extremely well. I actually beat Hexagon for the first time, whereas my previous best was like 47 seconds.

I bought Super Monkey Ball 2 for my Lumia phone and it's actually pretty awesome. I usually don't like mobile gaming too much, but I really wanted to double-dip on Android in this case and it seems like I can't buy it in Mexico >:(

How does that make any sense, Sega? I can buy it on Windows Phone (and maybe iOS?) but not on Android why?

This is definitely the greatest single emulator solution on Android, and it's free:

Retroarch

Actually in my experience this has some problems with inputs and if you accidentally press the back button it will quit the game you're playing without even a confirmation prompt. Also, some random on-screen button combinations will do the same thing. They need to figure these things out, because you never know when the thing will randomly shutdown your game the way it is now. I keep it installed only because of the mega cd emulation (and because my phone has a physical keyboard so I don't need to rely on the shitty on-screen input recognition). The best emulator on android right now in my opinion, and the one I use the most is FPSE. It's amazing and easily worth the 2 euros.

I guess there is a sequel (or maybe just an update...?) to Knights of Pen and Paper coming out this summer. It seems like it's just an update to the original, but the article is unclear. I'm sure we'll have to pay for it. Either way, sounds like the definitive version of Knights of Pen and Paper which is a great game!

Knights of Pen and Paper +1 Edition

Behold Studios' darling mobile meta-RPG Knights of Pen and Paper – where you control a dungeon master and players in a heated session as they embark on traditional roleplaying quests – is getting an upgrade. Knights of Pen and Paper +1 Edition is set to launch on Steam for PC, Mac, Linux, iOS and Android platforms in the early summer, published by Paradox Interactive.

Knights of Pen and Paper +1 includes the original mobile hit, replete with new dungeons, monsters and loot. Behold Studios has also added a tavern to switch out characters, so players no longer need to start a new game when they unlock a new character type, an issue in the current version of the mobile game.

On the fence about that Space Shuttle simulator. Good reviews, but no demo. Anyone have it? Also, Pacman Championship was never 99 cents otherwise I would have bought it. I think it was 1.99.

Really interested in The Room, but none of the others. This is probably indication it's coming to the Play Store sooner rather than later, though. Might wait for that instead.

Not interested in the others because you have them, or just not interested? Some of them are quite neat. The Room is all kinds of awesome in terms of atmosphere, but a bit samey as far as puzzles go and quite short. There are a couple of moments of pixel-hunting too.

Genuine disinterest. Contre Jour looks enticing, though. How's that?
