What's the one Android Phone that I should watch out for in 2010? See, i wanted the HTC HD2 from Tmobile but it's WinMo.... ;(

and I don't want to get the HTC Incredible as the unlocked phone will cost too much. (but i'll consider a phone if it's around $599)

is this the N1 without the tracking ball?

and i'm about ready to get the N1...:lol

This is the successor to the HTC Hero. It's has a smaller screen, slower processor, and smaller screen resolution than the N1

Where would Android be without HTC? Wow @ all these great looking phones on the way.

We don't need every phone to have gargantuan screens. The Hero/Eris is a wonderful sized phone for tight jean wearers.

HTC Supersonic

dang you like promoting the SS huh? :lol

I personally hope it comes to fruition, since it hasn't been officially confirmed yet you never know... I also REALLY hope that if it does come to Sprint it does so within Feb/Mar. I'm stuck with a Touch Pro (Fuze) on AT&T that's completely worn out and I am dying to switch. Going to Sprint no matter what, and I'm so sick of waiting that if it's announced for April or May I'm not sure if I'll be able to hold off that long... might have to bite on the old shitty ass Hero. :/

That Supersonic will be my next phone...whenever it comes out. That or the N1. I hope we get more Android phones though. Sprint has such awesome plan rates and coverage, I'll stick with them forever, but I want some nice phones too. PEACE.

Has any other phone been updated yet? Or is it only the Droid and N1 on 2.0+ still? I'm not with T-Mobile anymore, so I don't really know when my myTouch will be updated, because I won't receive the OTA alert anymore. PEACE.

People have been wanting... and whining... and wanting... the Touch Diamond or the HD/HD2 to run Android since before the G1 was launched, and now HTC's really making it happen. I didn't think they'd ever actually do it, to be honest. :lol

Andrex, I made a banner for the Android 2010 Wave, if you want to use it.

android_banner.jpg

I can customize it for the 2010 GAF thread if you want, whenever you get around to that. :lol

These gigantic touchscreen phones are nice and all...but what I really want is a Google Experience phone with Snapdragon and a good keyboard.

I'd gladly take the Droid form factor if they tweaked the keyboard and added Snapdragon...hopefully Moto's working on a Droid 2 as we speak.

I am getting around to it... Should be done before the MWC.

And thanks, adds some spice to the wave. :lol Thing is I don't know how to put pictures in waves.

Sweet, looking forward to the new thread. I'll put the banner in the wave, I made section headers too.

Four more days, four more days, four more days!

Plenty of stuff I hope will be announced at MWC. :) Wish I could be going myself...

Also kind of dreading it, because I'm sure there will be some new devices I don't already know about that will cause me anguish as I realise I can't upgrade to them at the end of my current contract. :(

Don't feel bad. I got my HTC Magic back in December right before they announced the Nexus. Now I can't upgrade till god knows when. I just wish phones were a lot cheaper. If they sold them for $250 unlocked, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

I still wouldn't feel too bad about having a Magic. Of all the devices I've worked with it's still one of my favourites - just has a nice size and feel to it. Sure it doesn't have the whizzy processor of some of the more recent ones, but I prefer it to quite a few more recent devices - it just has a nicer overall feel to it IMO.

Holy crap, Android mini collectibles sold out already. :\ That was what, twenty minutes tops?

Probably a good thing, though - shipping to the UK was extortionate.

This can't be an Android phone. It doesn't have the standard buttons on it. Or maybe they converted them to static images? Who knows. Also, the resolution makes no sense.

I should have stayed up late last night to buy some :-/

Just got my flyer, some truly amazing deals. Offers are from February 7th to February 27th.

  • HTC Hero with Google (Sprint) - $99.99 + 2-year contract
  • Archos 8GB Internet Tablet (+ Free GPS Activation) - $249.99
  • Samsung Moment with Google (Sprint) - $99.99 + 2-year contract
  • myTouch 3G (T-Mobile) - $99.99 + 2-year contract
  • Motorola CLIQ by MOTOBLUR (T-Mobile) - $49.99 + 2-year contract

The Cliq has practically the same specs as the other phones and is has a good keyboard, and it's $50 less for whatever reason. :lol Seriously that sounds like a steal to me.

Yikes. I'm slightly reluctant to even go with an 18-month contract these days.

Here in Americuh those are as far as I know nonexistent. v_v Though Chojin would know better than I do.

Yeah we all know how great the EU is. :| If I recall the HTC Hero launched for free on contract over there as well.

Oh well, at least we're not as bad as Canada, that place has mandatory 3-year contracts...

Got my HTC free on Upgrade and sold it for £235 to subsidise my Nexus One. You guys get screwed over there.

MWC...CANT WAIT

Ditto! Seems like there is really some big advancements in terms of hardware coming and over the last half of 09 there weren't a ton of big phone pushes at least in NA post iphone 3g outside of the nexus one. We got a lot of solid google phones like the droid, droid eris, hero, and even the two palm revisions on verizon.

Everything was still all stuck on that 500 mhz qualcomm arm though even while the OSes all seem to be getting updates. I'm fully ready for a full slate of 2010 phones with 1 ghz procs, high res screens, the most up to date OS versions, with a descent amount of RAM just being flat standard on all the big smart phones.

I wonder what the highest resolution/screen size combo an actual phone will ever see will be.

If you think about it, it's a little funny. We went from this:

I wonder at what point it'll top out...
